Marvel enjoying the last few days of summer! She is still up for adoption and ready to go to a new home! Marvel is incontinent and would do better in a home where she is not left alone for a long time as she loves her people! This girl can clock in quite a few miles in her wheels and enjoys activity and hiking! If you're looking for a Netflix and cuddle kinda buddy, she is the one for you! At a petite 25lbs, she is the perfect size for most people!
Marvel is a very special girl and we KNOW the perfect home is out there somewhere ❤️❤️.
Send me a message if you would like to know more about her or fill out an application on our website!

Look at him go!!!! Rigs refused a wheelchair and absolutely hated his PT, so we just let him be a happy pup, perfect the way he was and now look at him! No knuckling or dragging his paws! His right hind limb that was bent at a pretty severe angle seems to have straightened itself out with age! This is better than we could have hoped for! Go Rigs Go! 🏁🏎
Hi guys!!! Foster needed!
Little Petunia needs a foster! At almost 13 weeks old, P and her now-foster Annette have got a great system down! A combination of diapers, a teeny t-shirt and a mitten clip plus expressing her a few times a day! Annette says Petunia tolerates expressing very well and is a very good girl for it! Don't worry if you have never expressed a bladder before, it's not difficult and once learned, it is a piece of cake!
If you are local and want to know more about her or think you are interested in fostering lil P, dm the page or send us an email on [email protected]
Please share this post on your timelines and let's get Petunia a foster!
On this day of gratitude, we want to extend ours to all of you! You laughed with us when rescued pups went to happy homes and cried with us when we lost some. We could not have done this without your support! Even though this page is quieter nowadays because all of us have full-time jobs and various responsibilities, we are still here! Here for the ones we took on and here for the ones yet to come! An exciting development for HHR is coming soon and we can't wait to tell you guys! But, we are still here. The OG wheelie gang is going strong, with some issues that come with being an aging, paralyzed dog...but nothing these tough cookies can't handle!
On this Giving Tuesday, we would be honored if you chose HHR to donate any amount (no amount is too small!) towards our cause! As always, we are ever so grateful to you all 🥰💙

SNOW FUN!!! Last night, the snow was fluffy and the dogs were crazy 🤪 lol! Hannah had hard-core zoomies and was just happy running circles around everyone! Dan really got into playing today which was unbelievably 😍 cute!!! The huskies were chatty as always and Misty (white husky) wants everyone to know who's boss! Marvel on the other hand doesn't want to share her snow and has had enough of these shenanigans 😂. Safe to say by the time we were done shoveling, these critters were about ready to drop 😴🙄. A very happy snow-day to all our lovely friends and supporters! Thank you for always being there for us and the pups! We ❤️ you all!
The humans at HHR 💙
Cooper is walking! Before he went to Melissa, he could barely lift himself up on that leg. She was diligent about his meds and look at him now!!!! Cooper is so well known in his neighborhood, he walks right up to different doors and boops till they come out to pet him 🤣🤣. Cooper's medication is extremely inexpensive and under $50 a month! Plus he is such a good boy about taking them and never makes a fuss! He still needs placement by the end of July or beginning of August. Please please reach out to us and help us get this boy situated!
Look at Cooper go!!!!
We are still actively searching for a foster or a forever home for Cooper! His foster moves out of state by the end if July and we would love to have a home all lined up for him before that happens!
Coop has been through unimaginable suffering and abuse but he still shines bright and is happy as ever! As Melissa his foster mom says, "All he wants is love and a yard to roll around in". He is the most low maintenance dog with the biggest heart! He bears no ill will to the species that broke him at such a tender age, he loves all humans even children! If you are a no pet household and are looking for a low maintenance, 100% house trained and loving companion dog, then Cooper is the guy for you!
If you think you might be a good fit and have any questions, please DM the page and we can have a chat about Coop! Open your heart and home to this very special ❤️ dog!
Look who we dropped in on! Cooper is doing so well and even jumped up on us! Applications on Coop are to open very soon! This sweet boy deserves a loving home where his needs are understood and he is loved ❤️
A HUGE shout out to Melissa! Coop would not have gotten this far without you!

He did it! Few steps all by himself with no support or help! I think the Pink Caddy might be magical! 🤣🥰
Puppy power!!!! 🐶 ❤
He is working so hard to get better and we are so proud!!! Go Rigatoni 🍝😘
PS Guys these videos are only ONE DAY apart!!!! He got the hang of the underwater treadmill in a day! He is a super trooper! 💙
These two are just too much 😂😂😂😂
This video is so awesome for so many reasons lol! House-breaking a puppy is definitely a tedious process. But house breaking a Californian puppy in the freezing temperatures of the PNW? It's a miracle! 🤣🤣 This sunny Cali boy is not loving the cold PNW temps so he prefers to do his business in the house, however I try and encourage him with love and treats to use the outdoors and today it worked! Go puppy!!!!!
Video of how Rigs gets around, he is definitely not letting anything slow him down! He is seeing Dr Sherman next week at Rathdrum Animal Clinic for a consult and a puppy check-up where we will find out our treatment plan for this little dude ❤
Would you consider contributing towards Rigatoni's medical expenses? Our Venmo is heathshaven and our PayPal ID is Heaths-HavenRescue.
Thank you!!
🐷 alert!!! This little pup sure can eat! Sweet boy enjoying his first meal at the Haven!
Essie enjoying some snow cones! Her cute little trot at the end is so adorable 🥰 Still working on that “leave it” command though 🤣
Estoneaa had her 6 week follow up appointment and has been cleared to walk without assistance! Her spinal implant looked great and sturdy in her X-Rays and her Neurology team felt very confident that Essie can start being a normal dog once again! Estoneaa will be moving in with Jolene, Jake and Eena starting Monday so she can have more freedom safely, as there are too many excitable dogs up here and this girl is a social butterfly! We are so pleased to report how well she is healing, truly our little miracle pup 🐶 ❤️
We all knew Estoneaa was amazing but look at her go! Hydrotherapy all by herself! She feels so good and strong and honestly pretty stable, but it's in the home stretch that dogs can often get re-injured. While we are super excited by her fantastic progress we are being very watchful and make sure she never overdoes it. Which is hard to explain to a bouncing puppy 😅🤣
A very loud and cheerful goodmorning from Essie! Here she is pictured in her "holding cell" while I get her crate ready. She is so antsy in her crate that she usually spills food and water all over her bed, which results in about 5 bed changes a day 😵💫🥴. But the crate keeps her safe and we will do as many bed changes as needed to ensure she heals perfectly. In happier news, today marks 3 weeks since her surgery, halfway there!!! Estoneaa is improving dramatically! As you can see in the video, her stance is great, she is distributing weight fairly evenly and her proprioception has improved by leaps and bounds! All of this makes her harder to contain obviously but we don't give up easy here and she is learning that everyday 😉
I am so sorry for the recent slowing down of things on the page, I was going through a bout of sickness but I'm fully over it and back! Things have been slow with Essie this week, due to scheduling conflicts, we've been doing strength training with her at home instead of with Dr Sowa this week. I'm gonna try and get a video of what we do so you guys can see how strong she is getting! In the meanwhile enjoy this lo-fi video of Essie trying to schmooze me into not sending her back to her crate 🥺🥲 (she has those puppy dog eyes down to a T!)
