For the many who have had the honor of meeting Phoenix, know how unique and special she is. Phoenix is no longer a foster but a full-time BUNdles employee! Phoenix was rescued and taken under wing. Her journey hasn't been an easy one, and she has been so resilient. Her brother crossed the bridge at 9 weeks old from the severity of his botfly wounds and Phoenix has Cerebellar hypoplasia due to the botfly wounds stunting the growth of her cerebellum. In the beginning, she could only hop in circles, eat with her head straight up, and not much control of how she moves. Eleven months later she has gained more control of her head and body movements and can even hop in a straight line. Phoenix is a dream bun and her special needs quirks makes her even more loveable. Stay tuned as she will have a potential husbun in the near future.

Cleo here is a sweet bun with the cutest helicopter ears. She is safe at Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation waiting for her forever home. We are always here to help bunny owners, potential adopters, and our local shelters. Lennon here was found with his 4 siblings at 2 weeks old hopping in a family's backyard. The neighbors to this house were breeders and after 2 4 week old rabbits with severe botfly wounds were rescued, the terrible owners released all the rabbits. 2 adult females that were rescued spent weeks at the vet due to the severity of their botfly wounds. The 5 babies that were found, the mother was never found. The kind family that found the babies hand-raised them and now all 5 have been spayed/neutered and found their furever homes. Forever thankful for the family that raised them.

Don't buy from breeders adopt from rescues and shelters. Rescues and shelters like will provide you with lots of education to ensure you are ready for a rabbit. Lennon was fostered through and his foster mom fell so in love with him, that she adopted him.

Rabbits are the 3rd most abandoned animal. Learn more before you own.

Don't buy bunnies for Easter as gifts for kids. Phoenix was rescued at 4 weeks old with her brother Emery in July of 2023 outside. Both buns had multiple wounds from botflies. Due to where the botfly larvae were on Phoenix the growth of her cerebellum was underdeveloped and caused a permanent neurological issue, called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Her brother Emery's wounds were extremely damaging to him that all the medical efforts weren't enough to overcome. One of his wounds at the base of the neck deep down became necrotic, and he was medically crossed over the bridge at just 9 weeks old.🌈

Learn more before you own. These two dealt with such severe wounds at a young age due to neglect, living outdoors and the owners never attempted to get vet treatment. Emery's one side of his face was completely crusted over, Phoenix had a huge lump on top of her face and her movements were not that of a rabbit we would normally see. In honor of Emery, we will continue to advocate for safe indoor environments, help others with ways to improve your rabbit lives, and educate why outdoor living is so dangerous.

Join us April 7th for our annual Peeps and Paws fundraiser! The funds raised at this event go to the care and comfort of our many rabbits and small animals that we house every year. We currently have 8 rabbits and a guinea pig in our care waiting to be adopted! Although the animals may be small, the bill to properly care for them is quite large! Help us help our little friends by bringing the family down for a day full of fun!

Dried Plantain Leaf is our favorite herb for buns, we like to call it the holy grail of herbs. Our buns absolutely love this herb and even better is that it helps keep their digestive health at its best.

This herb is perfect for all buns and especially wonderful to have on hand if your bun is stasis-prone. Dried plantain leaf is an appetite stimulant and buns love the taste. We also have a treat version called "Binky Bites". Our bun-employees with Megacolon get this daily, all of our buns do. The improvements in our megacolon buns is incredible. The G.I stasis occurances are far less and at the beginning of a G.I episode giving the dried plantain leaf encourages them to eat. Butter gets so excited when he gets his plantain leaf that you can't get it out of the jar quickly enough.
