💩+❄️+☀️= 🥾🤢 April showers brings May...'dog p**p'? Is that how the song goes?

Contrary to popular belief, snow does not magically make your dog's p**p disappear, so in order to when venturing out with your pup, you still need to pick up pet waste during the winter months.

Why is picking up pet waste so important? Well, unmitigated pet waste can have pretty significant consequences on the nearby ecosystems and water quality, like:

🦠 Contaminating water with harmful bacteria
🚱 Creating excess nutrients, causing algal blooms downhill
🦌 Introducing pathogens to wildlife

So, next time you're out in the backcountry, do yourself and all your fellow watershed community members a favor and pick up after your canine companions! Plus our Snow Ambassador's Colin and Olivia will greatly appreciate it, and maybe even give ya a high five if they catch you out on the trail with a dog p**p bag in tow.
