About Us
The name Ahimsa comes from the Sanskrit meaning of non-violence and peace to all creatures.
Here at Ahimsa Animal Rescue, we are driven by a single goal; to save as many animals in need as possible. We do not discriminate. Reptiles, amphibians, small rodents, rabbits, large mammals and more.
In order to keep rescuing, we must adopt out as well. Adoptions are a major part of running this operation smoothly! However, some animals unfortunately cannot be adopted out due to medical conditions or specific disabilities and will live out their days here at the rescue. On the other hand, animals who are given a clean bill of health will go up for adoption to the public as soon as possible with an application approval and small rehoming fee.
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with the challenge of educating the public. Through social media and community outreach we focus on educating the next generation of pet owners on proper animal husbandry. Consider making a tax-deductible donation to let us continue rescuing!
