We were absolutely THRILLED to successfully and safely trap this momma cat on the west side of Lake Forest! There has been a steady and BLOSSOMING amount of feral cats on the west side. So to trap a momma cat, was an INCREDIBLE feat, helping knock out the homeless cat population. Conway (named for her vicinity to the amazing golf course) got a golden ticket. This beautiful girl was trapped and TNRd… in the nick of time! At 3 years old, Conway had given birth MANY times. So much so, that she was in the early stages of pyrometra (an infection of the uterus). And for a feral cat without an owner who would not notice any decline in health, pyrometra can be deadly. So extra cheers are in order! Conway will not have ANY more babies! And she will not die from pyrometra! Truly a victory!

**ADOPTED!**

Don’t let the cranky face fool you! Conway is a SWEETHEART! This tiny munchkin showed up in the bushes of a kind-hearted neighbor. And lucky for Conway, this neighbor is going above and beyond! We are trying to figure out Conway’s family dynamics, to make sure we can catch and trap EVERYONE! We want to make sure to TNR any adults and capture any minis who can be socialized and brought into rescue. Our mission at this location is not complete…yet! We are setting additional traps and crossing any, and all, paws to help as much as we can!**

Successfully TNRd by an AMAZING resident of Lake Bluff! Sadly, we were unable to trap these guys when they were young enough to be socialized. We tried SO hard! For weeks and weeks. And with multiple traps at different locations. It is ALWAYS our goal to TNR adults and juveniles. AND to catch kittens young enough to be socialized to be adopted. We are heartbroken we were not able to get these guys early enough. But take comfort knowing these guys will not take part in the overpopulation of homeless cats in Lake Bluff.

Littles in Lake Bluff!!! 🙀

We have been made aware of a feline family in Lake Bluff needing TNR and rescue! Momma cat has been a repeat offender, in terms of baby-making. So we have plans to TNR her. And have plans to get these mini-munchkins (4-5) into rescue!

Please wish us luck on our trapping endeavors!!! 🤞🏻

His name is Everett. 🖤
And he is our TNR #6

Big Daddy, renamed Mr Blister, was the cat who started this all! He is an older gentleman and the first cat we caught last year. Being a senior kitty, he required extensive dental work before being released. There have been posts about Mr Blister where people have seen him all over WLF over many years!

Sassy and Lilly (front of picture) are sisters from Raffi’s first 2023 litter. They were caught in the summer and despite our best efforts, they were too feral to be socialized and showed signs of stress whilst in captivity. They were returned after their procedures. There is a small window when kittens can be caught and then socialized enough to be adoptable. Timing is crucial and doubles our efforts!

This beautiful girl is Raffi and the mom of two known litters in 2023 only, poor mama. She is a master trap evader and stealth expert. We hope to catch her soon before she can have another litter. Each litter that a feral cat has shortens their lifespan and has major health consequences.

Jude was caught in the fall of 2023. He was the first one caught from a litter born to feral mom Raffi. His 3 sisters were caught about 10 days later. He was our first kitten and you can see his progression from 💯 spicy to an absolute love bug with huge character. He found a home shortly after.
