Pebbles is available. I don't generally show them this young but she's just too cute to not share. I prefer a pet home for her at this time but would consider others. She is a very precious singleton, loves people so much. Yakutian Laika of course. She cannot leave until late September.

And.. Stitch. NorthStar’s HM Experiment 626 is making her debut in the puppy rings in Mexico. As far as we know she’s the first Yanutian Laika to show in FCM. Stitch is co-bred with Hickory Meadows Yakutian Laika and is currently in Mexico with Dreams Siberians.

Porshe has become available again. She was reserved to the waiting list but that person has to wait a bit longer. She is a very nice puppy. I am going to make a tik tok tonight or in the morning with the new video I took of her today. She has great movement, a wonderful temperament and loves people. She is from Beretta and Benjamin.

Songbird and Ronan are part of Lisa and Misha's litter. Misha is a Russian Champion and was sledding trained in Russia. He is fun and friendly, loves people and anything we want to do with him. He has done a great job at meet the breeds greeting the public. Last year's litter from this pair produced amazing results. We are already seeing wonderful Pennhip scores from this pair, thanks to amazing owners testing. I will hopefully get the rest of this litter posted in the next few days. Happy to help new exhibitors get going in dog shows and events.

They are half siblings to the number one Yakutian Laika in breed rankings in Russia in 2022, whom was also sired by my Misha from the litters we allowed bred from him while he stayed in Russia to obtain his Russian championship before coming to the USA.

I am trying to work on the new website a little bit each few days. I finally got the new forms working. If you are currently on our waiting list please fill out the waiting list form on the new website to help us keep track.

We keep our waiting list small. If you are sure you want a puppy from us in the future it is a good idea to get on the waiting list. Waiting list slots do not need to be used right away, but it helps make sure you are near the top of puppy placement order when you are ready or that we are watching for and making you aware of puppies which come up that may fit your goals.

I got a lot more on the website in the last two days despite it being a hard week for us overall. I will be busy with the pups for the rest of the day. :)

In 2019 Blue (Nat/Int CH El Flaum Jules Vern) was the first Yakutian Laika to be awarded not one but two AKC Best In Open Shows.

These were large shows with a high level and depth of competition. He was being shown by my amazing friend Ekaterina Polovinka

We are getting a lot of people asking about upcoming litters from some of my best Russian imports on the Yakutian Laikas. A lot of these dogs are getting older. While some of them have offspring that are already a part of our program and these dogs have produced the best dogs in other programs as well. Some from puppies born before we imported them and many after. Misha, Single, Gardy, etc. these dogs are getting older. Some of the female imports are now retired.

But, these dogs are getting older. I am also planning to cut back on litters after next year. If you want a puppy from these amazing dogs the time to get on the waiting list is now and the time to get one is from these litters that are here and upcoming. We do not to specific litter reservations, general waiting list and an idea of what you are interested in. Puppies are chosen as a combine effort between us and the new owner.

Breeders reserve, other foundation breeders, waiting list, open placement is how our placements work. So many of the best puppies never make it to be chosen by open placement.

The Yakutian Laika is a sledding dog that is also multi-purpose. They are a sled dog. The Nenets Herding Laika is a herding maintenance dog that is multi-purpose. They are a reindeer management dog. Think cattle dogs, you need a rougher dog for that.

If you are interested in a Nenets Herding Laika please contact Jeanne at Mystic Winds Kennel for accurate breed information.

They might look similar to the average person but these breeds really are not very similar in temperament. The Nenets is not a miniature Yakutian.

Northstar's Double Delight "Momo" CM2

Momo was the second Yakutian Laika in the USA to earn an AKC Certificate of Merit and the first American bred one.

Momo is from one of our first Yakutian Laika litters. He is a son of Russian Champion/Master Champion El Flaum Naslednik Prestola CM and Master Champion El Flaum Erline (Ella)

The offspring of Single and Ella and of their offspring has produced more of the AKC Certificate of Merit. Awarded dogs than any other bloodline.

Huge appreciation to his owner for being a pioneer in the breed here in America. Momo is always perfectly presented.

In 2020 just before Covid hit the USA in full force Russian Champion El Flaum Single Naslednik Preston’s made breed history by being the first Yakutian Laika to earn an AKC Certificate of Merit. The next one would be his son and then later also a daughter and now some of the third generation dogs from his line have followed in.

Though he earned this in 2020 it doesn’t appear on the AKC website until a breed moves up to miscellaneous. It is now officially listed Single is the first Yakutian Laika to earn an AKC Certificate of Merit. I just didn’t know when we did it that it would take 5 years did it to appear here. But, finally it’s officially listed.
