As nonverbal creatures, it can be very difficult to understand what your cat is trying to say. Outside of a mother and her kittens, cats don’t often vocalize unless it’s for protection (they will growl, hiss, and spit at rivals). Although they have come to learn that we are verbal and they cry at us, they don’t cry at each other.

So how do they communicate? It’s mostly through body language. In this video, we’ll teach you how to speak cat through looking for signs on body, face, and one of their most powerful silent voices – their tail.

🦁Male lions lazy? Think again… 👇

Life for a male lion is tough! For the first 2.5 - 3.5 years of their life, they have it relatively easy (compared to what’s coming their way).

After that, they are quicked out of the pride...

That’s when their life becomes really, really tough for a young male lion—they have to hunt most of the times alone and they have nobody to save them from extreme situations.

When they really start showing signs of adulthood - larger manes, changes in testosterone - the pride males (and even females) will show the young males nothing but aggression.

It’s meant to drive home the signal that it’s time to leave the pride and forge a legacy of their own. They are no longer welcome within the pride lands. Ideally, there’s more than one young male in the pride. Being on your own in a foreign land is extremely challenging.

Hopefully, a couple of brothers or related young males can leave the pride together as a unit.

This is the beginning stages of what could become a coalition of male lions, a brotherhood so strong in bond & friendship that nothing can separate them.

They’ll stand together through the harshest of times. The more time these young males spend together, the stronger the bond &, the more chance of success they’ll have at a later stage.

How do I know how much water my cat is drinking?

The easiest way to measure your cat’s water intake is to add a pre-measured amount to the bowl or fountain each day and see how much of it they drank that day.

Generally speaking, cats should have about 50 milliliters of water per kilogram of body weight. For most cats, about 8-10 pounds, this is about 200-250 milliliters of water per day. This water can come from plain water or canned wet food.
