Have you ever had a clone of a pet you have had before ? ??Dear sweet little Stella is just a clone of her Aunty Harriet. You might recall that Stella actually has Flat Chested Kitten Syndrome (Aunty Harriet does not) but in every other way she is just Harriet !! Super spooky. Because she has FCKS she will be staying with us as a desexed pet. So now we will have two queens to deal with 🤦‍♀️

My last 4 days and nights. All night ……. 7 months old and her second season in 14 days. I love breeding cats even at times like these ❤️🤦‍♀️

We are all wiped after a great day out at the TFA show day. We had an amazing day. I’ll update the results in the next few days. It involved a SUPREME Exhibit and multiple Best in Show Awards. Our Bunratty team made us very proud. The babies are having a play session before bed after being in a show cage all day. Then we are all off to bed.

“Warning Long Post “ I have bred Burmese on and off for 40 years. In that time there has never been a day that I haven’t been owned by a Burmese.

They are everything to me. I am not a BIG breeder I do not have lots of cats but those that I do have are loved and cared for immensely.

When I breed a litter I fall in love with each and every one of them from the moment I pick them up for the first time. The day it stops affecting me like that is the day to give up. I raise them with love and care and DNA test all of my breeding animals to ensure I am producing the healthiest cat I can be. I help mould their little personalities from their very first moment on this earth. Some are more special than others. That’s a fact. But every one of them touches my heart and a little bit goes with them to their new homes. As I get older I am finding it harder and harder to part with them and have on many occasions cried as they have left.

Tomorrow is going to be one of those days - Rubble goes to his new family. Tonight is the last time I get to tuck him in bed with his brother and sister and give him tummy kisses. I just took this photograph as I tucked them in and it made me reflect on what a BIG SOOK I have become. I know when I have a litter born that this day is coming and I prepare myself for weeks. But it never gets easier ….. EVER.

But I know that my babies deserve their BEST life and I hand pick their destination with extreme care to ensure the safest most loving home in a personality matched environment. Rubble for instance is going to a young family who have spent some time getting to know him and for me to get to know them. They are a perfect match for our little livewire who definitely needs a young family to boss around.
