In this fast-paced world and the days seeming to have less hours in a them, its nice to know we have options in some areas of our lives. Do you have to work and the groomer only has early appointments? Will you be on vacation and a high maintenance exotic animal such as a parrot, pocket pig, or reptile needs specific daily care? Does your cat need a noon medication and your at school? Do you need

help getting a pet to the vet? I can help. There are a variety of packages to choose from. Pick one, or combine them to best fit you and your pet's needs. What makes me stand out? I'm experienced in the care of many species. Monkeys are not one of them. However, I have had the good fortune to be brought up in a family of animal lovers/welfare supporters and began the journey very young with many other species. From the small and furry, to the shelled and scaled. Add some feathers and hooves, and even fish tanks are on the radar. As an adult I chose to volunteer for the Henry Co. Humane Soc. in Midwest TN. For 7 yrs I became very involved. I was the bully-breed coordinator doing the special adoptions for the pit bulls and caring for them in my home. I then became the exotics coordinator and eventually started my own exotic animal rescue under their umbrella. It's still in operation on as a referral-based rescue. The Exotic Animal Rescue of Sevier Co. I have done educational programs in schools, for girl scout troops, a children's church program, an outdoor program on venomous snakes for the TWRA, and have even had a field trip on a school bus come to my home. For 2 1/2 yrs, every week, I wrote a short article for the "Paris Post Intelligencer" on pet care tips. I would like to have the opportunity to take my experiences and make them work for you. If you think my services can help - Give me a call, send me a text, send me a message. Together we can find what may work best your family, including your companion, and for your serenity and peace of mind. Thank you! Veronica

PSA: We all know it's state law to vaccinate dogs against rabies, but did you know it's also state law for cats over 6 months old? Even indoor cats are required to be vaccinated. Just because your cat doesn't go outside doesn't mean the outside doesn't come in. Bats get inside homes all the time. They are a main carrier for this 100% fatal yet preventable disease.

While you're at it, it's highly suggested to get the other immunizations, as well. Feline leukemia is also a big one, especially if your cat has outdoor privileges that can place them in contact with an infected cat.

I don't generally do boarding, but how could I resist these two? I've had them here for almost a week and will have them until the end of August. Meet Wendy and Little John.

We see this a lot... pet parents searching for a pet sitter or dog walker, but the first comment is: "I'm looking for someone who doesn't charge an arm and a leg..."

When you consider the pet-care experience and specialized training professional pet sitters and dog walkers have and the customized care they provide, these pet-care professionals are worth FAR MORE than they charge.

Of course, you have to work within your budget, but lowest price does not mean the best option—and professional pet-care providers should be fairly compensated.

Remember, you get what you pay for—and your pets deserve quality care!

It's not an accidental litter when you intentionally choose not to spay/neuter. Just sayin'...

My next stop, the rattos! These babies are so so sweet. They're taken to pirate festivals as their person's "piRAT" a couple of times a year. The boys are so low-key and squishy. The girls are busier, but still so loveable.

Today was the last day for Autumn. She is such a sweet, floofy girl. Until next time little lady!

It's getting to be that time of year when we need to be mindful of how hot the ground is. Doggie boots may save your dog the injuries hot asphalt can cause.

This little guy is Dumpster. Seriously aloof, but not ashamed to come for a treat. The geese make this pond home every year, so they get cared for, too. Dad is across the pond while mom is on a nest. You can barely see the edge of the nest on the bottom level under the stairs. I love taking care of the wild things, too.

I'm still alive and kicking. Just on a very limited basis. I am still caring for pets, but I can only care for pets that need once a day visits. This is Durango and Yukon. I've been their sitter since 2017. Yukon needs daily medication, and both need special foods. They're getting older but still happy boys.
