Everyone welcome Poppy to the foster family- in episode 5899921 in why i prefer animals to people.. Poppy has had four homes in 11 weeks 🤦🏻‍♀️ Passed around people who weren’t prepared to train a puppy and have now labelled her aggressive and surrendered her to rescue as her puppy biting has never been corrected or channeled into making her brain work 🤦🏻‍♀️ so she thinks puppy biting is a fun game🤦🏻‍♀️😂
Funny enough since she arrived she’s not been bitey and i’m not living in fear of an aggressive dog 😂😂
She’s collie x something and will be looking for a new home once fully vaccinated if anyone is looking for a new member of their doggo family 😊😊🐾

Snow is falling!
Tomorrows walks will obviously be assessed when i wake up to see how much snow we have and what the temperatures/roads are like
❄️Any dogs not wanting to come out in the snow can be swapped to home visits if needed and walks may be cut shorter depending on temperatures for me and the doggos 🥶😊😂
❄️ Jumpers/coats will be put on any dogs if they are left out before a walk and all the doggos will have the heating on in the back of the van so will warm up while driving home 🐾😊
Currently all walks are on, but the doggos safety is the main concern so as long as the roads are safe in the morning the doggos will be out in the snow 🐾❄️😂

I truly love my job…. but not on days like today when a much loved HoundClub doggo makes their final journey 💔😭
Nala bear, the happiest cloud has been an absolute JOY to walk and i have years worth of photos and videos on my phone but i would have loved years more 😭
Nala has been every dog walkers dream dog (even with the mud loving white fur) and im so lucky i got to be her dog walker and love her like my own dog while out on our adventures.
I’ll be forever honoured she picked to come for walks with me even if it meant leaving a piece of her favourite cucumber snack behind at home 😊🥰

Last night Violet had her second hydro session and she’s back again on thursday 😊 Houndclub dogs amazing owners have donated enough for her first weeks hydro to be totally covered at no expense to the rescue charity which is amazing thankyou so much 😊😊

Violet’s sponsored swims!!
Violet today started the next stage of her recovery to hopefully get all her movement back in her legs… hydrotherapy at a specialist centre 😊
She is using a treadmill hydro pool to really focus her legs on being in the right position while walking and will need this twice a week initially to give her the best chance of building those muscles.
The sessions are £58 each session and to help the rescue fund these i wondered if anyone would like to sponsor violet’s swims with whatever donation anyone can spare 😊 I can’t promise she can do loads of lengths in the pool yet but she is trying as hard as she can so any amount given will really help her and help the rescue continue to fund her rehabilitation after her already eye watering surgery bill 😊
The link below goes directly to the rescues account but if anyone prefers to send it to me i can pay directly to the physio so she has an account in some credit 😂
Everyone was so generous with Pretzels fundraiser and the Houndclub family are amazing so let’s see what we can do towards Violets rehab and she’ll keep you all posted on her progress obviously!
There will be weekend adventure walks available with all proceeds going to violets bill and other events in the next few weeks also 😊😊

Officially back from a lovely week away in Corfu, my only complaint was there was not enough dogs to cuddle so prepare pooches as monday i’ll be making up for it with my Houndclub squad 😂😂🥰🥰
Thankyou to all the lovely owners that have made arrangements while i’ve been away for their doggos and the amazing support team of other local walkers that have covered some of my dogs this week and and the super amazing group of mates that have looked after my own pack while i’ve been away- no easy feat with the special dogs 😂😂

Houndclub Howloween 2024🎃👻😂😂 The last couple of days the Houndclub doggos have been busy getting in the seasonal spooky spirit 😂 As always any dog not happy to stand and pose doesn’t get forced to and pups/nervy dogs or ones easily offended don’t get made to take part either 😊 However… flat faces and Stanley the beagle have the same face in or out of a costume 😂😂 It’s officially halloween today but don’t worry doggos that are on walks tomorrow.. the howloween week doesn’t stop till friday😂 The witches wig hasn’t faired well after being ran around the paddock in the mouth of an over excited labrador so we might have to update that one for 2025 😂😂 #howloween #dogwalker #autumnfun

A whole year of a Pretzel Puppy 🥳🥳🥳 It’s his official birthday today and so as instagram won’t let me post a video reel for some reason tonight a photo medley will have to do instead until i can post a video 😂😂 When this little day old cleft palate puppy arrived i wasn’t sure we’d ever get here and he definitely hasn’t been the easiest pup i’ve ever handreared but with everyone’s so generous help with his raffle we got him to surgery size, got him through surgery and he is now thriving… stretching but thriving 😂😂 He is soon getting an xray on his hips as he has some issues there but whatever comes along he’ll carry on being happy go lucky Pretzel i’m sure 😊 Happy year day Pretzel, please stop growing now as there’s no room in the van 😂😂

The most determined gerbil you ever did see 🥰🥰😭 Violet had a check up at the ralph referral centre today and they are really pleased with her progress post spinal surgery 🤞🏻🤞🏻😊 She’s strong enough and gaining enough muscle and leg movement to start using a band to support her walks alongside her wheels, and can start hydrotherapy to continue to encourage her legs to remember what to do 😊 There’s a long way to go but Violet is trying so hard and she will get whatever she needs in her rehab journey 😊😊 #spinalrecovery #puppyrehab #wekeepgoing

Hound Club History

Hound Club is a place for dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities to play, have fun and burn off energy. Having worked in the animal industry for over 20years I am experienced with not only the basic care of dogs, but have the welfare, legislation and behaviour knowledge that is vital to ensuring you can be confident your pet is in good hands while in my care.

Hound club has been created as so many people kept telling me dogs were lucky to find me and my group of dogs and friends I nicknamed hound club, when in reality its me that's lucky finding all the wonderful dogs I meet- so here is the start of the official hound club page!

I have an absolute passion for rescue, and always normally have a foster dog who can join the hound club experience and get the benefits for socialising, developing confidence and making canine friends in the process. If you have a nervous rescue or unsocialised dog please get in touch- helping rescue dogs is my speciality! Hound club has helped so many dogs I have fostered and I would love it to benefit your dogs too.

I studied Animal Behaviour and Welfare at University and have completed many canine related qualifications in Canine Behaviour, Dog grooming, Pet First Aid, Dog Walking, Microchipping and have worked in wildlife rescues, zoos and kennels so am confident pet sitting most species!
