De-Heading flowers on a basil plant but this method can help with other plants such as herbs, greens, potatoes, flowers, etc.
I pinch the flowers off with my fingers trying to do so early in the flowering process to prevent the plant from starting to change flavor or texture. The heat is what makes the plant want to do this so when you are ready you can allow a few good plants to go to seed and flower then once dry collect seeds for next year. #seedcollecting #seedsaving #prolonggrowing
