This is how it works: We partner with Nature Hills Farm and a California farmer(s) to work together to bring fresh seasonal berries to the Las Vegas area. The fruit is picked within 24 hours of you receiving it, so it is ripened on the vine and has outstanding flavor. You will want to turn on post notifications for our page because orders and payment are taken in advance. There will be a Google form that you will complete to choose your order, payment method, and pick up location.

ORDERS & PAYMENTS DUE Wednesday February 12 at 9:00pm. The last order filled up in three days, so please do not wait to order if you are interested!

*Please check your produce and make sure you are satisfied before you leave the pickup site. Refunds can not be given once the produce leaves your pickup site. Your produce is picked at the farm the day before you pickup.

Graphic post warning! Today I went to our mentors farm and helped harvest a pig. It is a smaller breed called American Guinea Hog. One of our goals is to be self sustaining where it makes sense and pigs are one of the easier animals to raise and the feed to weight ratios is good. I helped skin, gut and the half the pig. Our Mentor did most of the heavy lifting and was gracious in sharing his knowledge.

Our annual holiday gift box is curated and ready for gifting. We partnered with two wonderful, women owned businesses. Cindy with BBDCo and Aaryn with Simply Bare Collection are two hardworking women who believe in safe, clean and natural products.
This year’s holiday box has a combination of handmade soap, 5 oz candle, single shower steamer with your choice of a wooden soap tray or soap pouch. Add on one of our herbal salves for only $9 (automatic discount in cart).

We found a Greater Roadrunner in our farm grow area. He couldn’t fly out or get through so he hunkered down under an artichoke plant. We thought we would help it escape so it could go home. 🥚Egg Hatching Day🐣 We are preparing the incubator for their arrival. They should hatch within 24-72 hours of the first crack otherwise they often don’t make it after the 72 hour mark. Do not try to intervene or open the incubator unless absolutely necessary. Goal is to keep it warm and wet (I don’t say the “m” word) in there so they can push their way out. #hatchingchicks #hatchingeggs #chickens #chickensofinstagram #incubator #farm #farmlife

Did you know chickens lose all their feathers once a year? This affects egg production at the same time the days become shorter so together that makes for a large decrease in eggs. Offer a higher protein diet like 20% protein mix or supplement with things like mealworms, fish meal, scrambled eggs, etc We use MileFour Layer Feed and supplement with other protein sources. We don’t switch to a grower feed despite it offering 2% more protein because it doesn’t have the calcium needed for layers. Or you could switch to grower feed and supplement with oyster shells for hens to eat as they need it. Go cart adventures commencing! The boys (ages 5 & 9) saved $800 to pay for half of the go cart. Most was saved by the oldest but they committed to saving all money for 9 months. They are beyond excited about it finally being here. They have rode for 3 hours already 😆 You can hear my Mom advice about taking turns slowly so we don’t tip over.
