Howdy folks! After a few false starts with potential adopters, my foster family decided I fit in pretty well around here, so here is where I'm gonna stay. They even got me this giant new bed that's all for me! I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who's been following my journey from a scared gas station stray to a happy couch potato. I'm still working on my confidence in public, and my mom thinks I need to gain another couple pounds, but I have come a long way and I'm doing great!

I also want to give another big shout out to Chatham Sheriff's Animal Resources. They were a huge help to get me vetted and settled into foster care. If you are looking for a new furry friend, your local county animal shelter is always a great place to start.

I am taking it easy today because I got the big snip yesterday. I'm such a good boy, I don't even need to wear a cone of shame (so far)! Thank you to Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic for taking such good care of me!

It's way too cold today to do anything but take a nap with my buddy.

I am very respectful of my foster siblings' space! Even though everybody else gets to sleep in the bed with the humans, I am happy to sleep on the floor or on the couch in the other room if the humans ask me to. I would love to snuggle up with my new family, but if you need your space that's okay with me!

I've been hanging out with my foster mom in the Dog Room all week, and I love to snuggle on the couch when I am invited up. I wasn't allowed into the main house at first, but since I got my bath yesterday, they finally let me come in! I was pretty calm about the whole thing, although there was some yummy-smelling food on the counter and my foster mom had to shoo me away a couple of times. My foster siblings all have their favorite spots on the couch, and I was happy to lay on the floor next to everyone.

I really don't like being left alone; I just want to hang out where everyone else is!

Hi everyone! You might know me as the dog who was hanging out at SkyMart in New Hill, NC over the holidays. My foster mom started calling me Action Jackson because I love to do zoomies!

I am settling in to my foster home with 3 doggie siblings who I love to run around with. They also have chickens and a pet pig here, but I don’t care too much about them. The Chatham Sheriff's Animal Resources Center is helping my foster mom get me up to date on my vaccinations and get me neutered soon (ouch!). They think I’m about 2 years old, and no one is quite sure what breed I am. They think I could be a shar pei or chow mix, but most importantly, I am 100% love bug!

If you met me at SkyMart, you know that I get pretty nervous. My foster mom is my favorite person right now, and she is helping me work on my distrust and my separation anxiety. Hot dogs help me be brave when I’m in new and scary situations. I have a lot of love to give, and I hope my fur-ever family will be patient with me!
