Lemondrop Farm Sanctuary & Community Outreach Lemondrop Productions Inc. is a 501c3 charitable non-profit. Serving FL, GA and CA. Saving animals, helping people. Lemondrop is 100% NO KILL. Please donate!

We provide care to those who need it most whether human or animal. Please visit our website for more information, FAQ's and details about some of our resident animals. All donations made are tax deductible under FEIN 45-277-6445 as a Federal Tax Exempt NonProfit. All donations go directly toward keeping our doors open and programs running, none of our staff or Volunteers take a paycheck or salary

and none of the donations go toward marketing. Lemondrop has been in operation since 2011. At our Farm Sanctuary, we host over 100 resident farm animals, dogs, cats and exotic birds who have found permanent sanctuary with us and our Volunteers. They remain with us for the rest of their natural lives in a safe, comfortable environment. At our Community Outreach we provide food, clothing and household items directly to more than 1000 people in need each week at our Tallahassee area distribution alone. We estimate that we reach around 150-300 people at our California location each week. We operate in Florida, Georgia and California (Farm Sanctuary and headquarters are located solely in Florida). If you’re thinking of donating your old vehicle this year, please choose Lemondrop! It will be put directly to good use through our programs, instead of sold for a profit (as other big nonprofits do).

PLUS you get a tax donation receipt for the FULL retail value of your vehicle, even if it isn’t running! Just the same as you would at any other 501c3 nonprofit.

We can take any vehicle with a clean title. Working or non working.

Call us for more information and to schedule a pickup/vehicle donation! 850-508-6576

Our Volunteer, Michael J Pozo has been working hard delivering food to elderly, shut in, or disabled people who are in need this week through Lemondrop Community Outreach. We’re so grateful to him for covering additional pickups this week due to other volunteers being unwell!

He sometimes also brings medical equipment, or hygiene items, when we have them available. His job takes him directly to these beautiful peoples homes, and he sees their needs. He began volunteering with us, to help support these people and get them what they need.

We are so grateful to be part of this partnership, to get items so desperately needed, to these beautiful souls who need a little support. 💛

It’s been a few days since we’ve posted. 🫣 And even longer since we’ve given an update about the sanctuary residents!

Everyone is doing very well. One of our big donors provided us with a brand new folding couch about two weeks ago (thank you Walmart!!!) which replaced the previous one donated for our canine residents (they end up tearing it up after awhile). They absolutely LOVE it, and have been sleeping in doggie piles of 5-8 at a time.

One of our aviary residents (not pictured), a budgie named Lace (formerly Fish), has cancer. She’s living her best life, and it doesn’t appear to be affecting her quality of life at this point. We will be with her and give her the very best care until the end. Lace came to us at 9 years old. She’s approximately 15 now. She came from a family who would smoke with her in the room — they thought it was funny that she would get “high” and fly around the room “buzzed”. Anyone who keeps birds knows how dangerous smoke inhalation is for all birds. We believe this was the root cause of the cancer (in her chest/lungs). Please send her all the love and positive thoughts that she enjoys life painlessly until the end.

If you’d like to donate items we need toward the sanctuary and our full time volunteers (mostly cleaning products), be sure and check our Amazon wishlist:

Think we forgot to post this one - thank you Kara for the additional bag of bird food for the conures! 🦜💛

We earned our GreatNonprofits badge! Actually it was a couple months ago, but we've been so busy with the free Clothing Closet, that we forgot to post!

It's truly an honor to receive this badge each year. Due to the reviews of our supporters, clients and volunteers. We have been Top Rated every year since 2017.

A huge thank you to Laura for sending this huge amount of supplies that we needed! These types of supplies (from our wishlist), are the main things that we’ve remained in lack of, since summer when our main donor big box store said that they no longer wanted to partner with us. Every time we get a lot of supplies that we need from Amazon, if touches us so deeply, filling our cleaning and maintenance needs. Thank you SO much! 💛🙏🏼

Our Amazon wishlist is here, for anyone who wants to see the types of items we need on a regular basis.

We are SO excited to announce that we finally have a drop location for donations to Lemondrop! Our hearts are so filled with gratitude to Alicia at Morningstar Storage on Thomasville rd in Tallahassee.

Morningstar has provided us an amazing donated storage unit, our donors can easily find and is super accessible. Our volunteers can sort and process donations there once they’ve been delivered and arrange for them to be distributed through our various programs.

If you’d like to donate, please follow the process (in the picture below), and shoot us a text with photos of what you’d like to donate! Please be aware it may take some time for us to arrange a drop off day and time (may take up to 2 weeks).

For non tangible donations, or to donate specific supplies that we need, see the links below:

Saving Animals - Helping People

Since 2000 we have been rescuing animals from various circumstances, including strays and slaughter house abuse victims. In 2011 we incorporated as a non-profit so that we could solicit support from the local communities and companies to help us continue our work, of caring for, housing and feeding these animals. Since 2011 we’ve been able to take in roughly 250 animals in need, our focus is Farm Animals although we do take some cats and dogs on a case by case basis.

We rehabilitate each rescue upon arrival, bringing them up to health and weight, then merge them into the Lemondrop Farm Animal Family. Once we take in an animal we give them sanctuary for the rest of their natural lives. This means that the animals stay at the sanctuary, they do not get farmed out for slaughter, rehoming, marketing, trafficking or fighting etc. Each animal is given a large pasture or area to freely roam, graze, or play; none of the animals are kept in cages. Each pasture has a special shelter or barn to meet each type of animals needs for shelter from rain or inclement weather. We currently give permanent sanctuary to around 80 rescued farm animals.

In 2017 we were hit with Hurricane Irma as a Category 1-2, and then in 2018 we were directly hit by Hurricane Michael at a Category 5. Michael and a tornado that spun off of it, destroyed most of the Sanctuary, barns, shelters and fencing. After the hurricane the Board of Directors decided that our animals would have to be moved into Foster Homes until we could rebuild. As of 11/2018 we are still trying to raise funds to rebuild the Sanctuary.

Lemondrop Community Outreach partners with local churches and individuals who have a passion for helping feed, clothe and minister to the homeless community, especially veterans in need, in Tallahassee Florida and the surrounding areas.
