It was a busy but super successful weekend for the team!

Saturday night Brooke and Boo headed north for a night race at one of the best pens around. They ran their new personal best and hung in out of the money in the Open 3D and won the Adult 3D

Sunday all the girls competed at the Crab Pot Buckle Series! Brooke and One Ride in Vegas (owned by Allie M) won both Open barrels and Open plug. Ember and Fire Breathin Dallas won their youth barrels, 3rd open barrels, and had some high placings in the plug and poles! Maddy and One Tough Cookie had their second run where they fixed a lot of technicalities and had a smooth barrel run and tested some speed in the plug.

It was an amazing weekend all around and we are so proud of all riders and their horses!

We’d like to congratulate Brooke and Boo Who Lolli on a successful IBRA Season! The pair finished strong for the season despite limited hauling.

While the pair does not plan on competing at Nationals this year we are incredibly proud of what they have accomplished this season which started last August while Boo was out of competition. We look forward to seeing how they do for 2025!

It has been a busy few weekends as show seasons are coming to an end!

Brooke and Larry have been busy the past two weekends competing but with great success!! At the ESWHSA ECRRA full slate last weekend they took home Reserve Champ Open w/t and Champion Open w/j/l. This weekend at the MWHA ECRRA they took home Champion Open w/j and Reserve Champion w/j/l!

The team are currently sitting 5th in the ECCRA standings out of over 90+ horses up and down the coast!

It was a successful Saturday this past weekend at a local jackpot!

Brooke and Boo Who Lolli despite a wild 1st managed to finish in the Open 3D, 2nd Ladies 3D, and 2nd Jackpot 3D.

Brooke and One Ride In Vegas had their first run together finishing 3rd Open 4D and winning the ladies 4D. Vegas is owned by student Allie who is recovering from an injury!

One Tough Cookie and her new owner Maddy had their first race only after a few weeks of riding and won the Youth 4D!

It was a great day with great horses and people!

Something important to remember. While ribbons, money, and titles are nice to win and earn it’s the learning and growing along the way that really is what’s important!

Ribbons are lovely mementos and symbols, but be careful... when you allow ribbons to tell you if you have done a good job, then their absence will try to tell you that it was bad. And that is never the whole story.

Although one mistake can deny you a ribbon, one mistake cannot negate the positive growth, teamwork and joy that exists in every single ride. Always carry your own goals and progress closest to your heart.

This weekend Brooke did something a little different and competed in the Young Horse Show Series with 3yo Alcyone Z (Aganix du Seigner x Cornet Obolensky) owned by Fox Lair Sport Horses. “Sia” is one of the 3yo Brooke broke these past months and showed her first time while it was her second time riding off property. Brooke went with some personal goals which the pair crushed scoring a 7.83 and winning the 3yo under saddle class as well as qualifying for their finals in the fall.

A client has a super sweet mare available!

Companion Horse Only‼️‼️‼️

Reba is a 19 grade mare. Easy keeper and barefoot, stands for the farrier and gets along with other horses and animals. Has been ridden in the past but not suitable for riding and rehoming as companion only (very strict on this).

Will be picky about her next home and prefer an in person farm check. Rehoming only due to going away for college and parents moving.

$500 rehome fee. UTD on shots, dental, farrier.

With this heat wave coming in please be careful with your horses and plan accordingly. We are thankful that our amazing producers of multiple shows this weekend have cancelled out of care for our equine athletes and us.

One ride isn’t going to make or break your horse’s career so don’t make unnecessary risks in the heat wave.

It was a great successful weekend in Westminster at the Beat the Betty’s IBRA/NBHA race.

Brooke and Boo had a great run bottom of the ground to take home some money!
4th Open 2D
5th Jackpot 1D
1st Adult 1D

Mike joined for the better half barrel race where he ran Jet for the first time! They had a great clean run to finish just out of the money with their combined times finishing 3rd in the 1D.

It was a great fun day at an amazing well run show with great ground! As always we are so incredibly proud of everyone and these amazing mares!

We’ve been pedal to the metal and no signs of slowing up soon! Last weekend we headed to the eastern shore for an NBHA with multiple horses!

Brooke and Boo had an amazing run bottom ground to win the Open 2D!

Brooke and Cookie had a solid run experimenting with more speed to finish 7th Open 4D

Ember and Dallas had a great run improving on their time and finished 6th Open 4D, 5th Youth 4D

Vegas also came along for the day to work on some things while her owner Allie is out due to injury. It was a super busy day but an amazing one for the first run back from the classic!

How is it the weekend already! It still feels like we just got home from the Virginia Barrel Classic!

This year was one for the record books! While Allie couldn’t make it last minute due to injury, Brooke and Ember laid some smoking runs out of a large and tough open classes with over 900+ entered

Friday they started strong. Brooke and Boo beat their personal best and broke into the 15’s with a 15.868 to finish in the 3D. Ember and Dallas also had an amazing first big run with an 18.248!

Saturday Brooke and Boo beat their time again with a new fast time of 15.790 to finish in the 3D again and shed many happy tears. Ember and Dallas also beat their time from Friday with a 17.902 while running at 1:30am!

Sunday Brooke and Boo had one last run where they got past their 1st and 2nd to cost a little time but still run a 16.314 to finish in the 3D again.

While they all fell through the cracks this year with money everyone had amazing runs and better yet an amazing time! We can’t wait for next year already! This weekend we continue with a busy month of races with 4 horses heading to our local NBHA tomorrow!

12yo QH Mare. Loping the pattern and entering, currently loping 4D times haven’t asked for a ton of speed yet. Easy keeper, lives out 24/7 in a mixed herd, great and easy stall keeper as well. Would make an awesome handy youth horse/high school rodeo horse or even someone looking to have fun. Some exposure to cattle (lives with one), being introduced to the rope, trail rides by herself or with friends.

Nothing phases her at shows, doesn’t look at anything and stands up on all type of ground. I think she’d make an awesome rodeo horse for someone as well!

She does have some mild quirks on the ground when it comes to tying and prefers a confident rider. Not beginner friendly but would be great for someone who has confidence and experience on the pattern. She looks to her rider for direction. She’s easy to run and doesn’t get hot and likes to work. No alley issues. Will continue running until sold.

It’s been busy getting ready for some big races but this weekend the team headed to LLR for our last race before the classic. So many shows had been cancelled this month unfortunately due to weather so the horses were ready to run and stretch their legs before heading to Lexington.

Brooke and Boo took home some money finishing 6th in the Open 3D and winning the Adult 3D! They had a smooth after the time off and ran their second best time in this arena!

Ember and Dallas had a great smooth run stretch in their legs finishing in the Open 4D and 5th in the Youth 4D.

Today we head down the the Virginia Barrel Classic for a fun 5 days of barrel racing! We will be posting draws and approximate times later once we are all settled in!

This past weekend was another success with Larry at a local ECRRA! With another large class size he stayed in the top throughout the day and even took him a reserve just missing reserve in the w/j/l. We are so proud of how this team continues to grow and how Larry improves with every show! It’s been a journey with him and we’re thankful for every step of the way

It was a great successful weekend at the Speed Horse Bonanza!

Saturday was a super successful day for the team! Brooke and Boo Who Lolli worked on some technical things at their first working on their timing and despite a little slower approach they managed to take home a check in the Open! Sunday Boo was a little distracted between the temperature drop, hormones, and a little bit of a rush getting ready and didn’t have the smoothest run being a little fresh the entire run but still managed to take home a check in the Ladies sidepot as well.

Ember and Fire Breathin’ Dallas had a great weekend for their first away show. Saturday they had their fastest time yet in this arena and overall! Sunday Dallas had the same idea as Boo and was a little fresh in their run as well costing some time but Ember rode it all beautifully and had a great time despite!

Allie and One Ride in Vegas finally hit their groove Saturday with a gorgeous run loping through with a very respectable time not even asking for speed! We are so thrilled to see this team starting to get together already after a few months and figuring each other out. Unfortunately they had to leave Saturday so could not compete Sunday.

We are so proud of all our horses and riders this weekend especially since it was the first away show for many of them as well as for Boo since the classic last year!

It has been a whirlwind of a few weeks as we are heading full steam ahead into show season!

4/7 Larry and Brooke kicked off the start of the ECRRA show season at their first full slate this year. The two managed top placings all day even with an incredibly technically and challenging trail course! It was a great day brushing off the winter cobwebs getting back in the show ring.

4/13 This past weekend we had our first double header starting with the kickoff of the NBHA season on Saturday. Brooke ran Boo and Cookie who had great runs to start the year. Brooke and Boo finished in the Open 3D and won the Ladies 2D sidepot! Cookie’s first NBHA run was solid as she continues to learn her speed and figure out the pattern clocking in the 4D loping.

Ember and Dallas had an amazing run their first time back with an Open 4D and finished 2nd in the Youth 4D taking home their first NBHA check!

Allie and Vegas continue to learn each other their second race having some great expos and figuring each other out in their run.

4/14 Sunday we changed gears back into the ranch arena for a very long day with massive classes with 26 horses! Brooke and Larry held onto prop placings all day even having to do splits in the rail with a “qualifier/finalist” style in the w/j and a/j/l making it back for both and finishing in the top of each. Despite the incredibly long day Larry held on strong to even win the last class of the day in the ranch riding w/j/l

We are so incredibly proud of our horses and riders these past few weeks and are excited for our first away barrel race this weekend!

Sunday was a successful day up north for the Circle R Speed Show. Brooke brought Cookie who had a gorgeous exhibition and a good run learning her confidence and figuring everything out. Allie brought her new horse Vegas who both had a great day and learned a lot about each other!

We are ready to get the season underway and be chasing cans every weekend!

It was another fun day in PA for our last roping of the winter season. Mike had some awesome runs which he caught one and almost caught his last when it bounced off his nose. Jet was much better in the box after some work from our last roping and is really starting to figure it out!

As we enter Horse Show Season
1. Horses don’t get broke at home. Be brave and enter!
2. EVERY disappointment at the show is a learning opportunity..... Be humble, be open to change.
3. Everyone gets nervous. Everyone has bad days. Everyone makes mistakes. Literally: EVERYONE!
4. Don’t watch others in the warmup ring and start changing what you have been doing - if you see something cool or you want to step up your game that’s homework for after the show!
5. When we run out of knowledge, we often punish our horses. Seek help instead.
6. Be a competitor! But be a horseman first. There is always someone watching who sees you as a role model.
7. Supporting your fellow competitors and engaging with people will enrich your show life.
8. Know the rules of competition! Make sure your attire and tack is legal. Read the rule book, ask questions and be well prepared.
9. Have FUN, don’t sweat the small stuff!
