It was a great weekend in Virginia! Ember and Dallas had a great run and stayed clean! They continue to work on perfecting their runs and smoothing everything out.
Brooke had her first NBHA run with Too D Lena where they really hit a groove after only 5 rides running a 16.305 to finish 4th in the Open 3D out of 190, 2nd in the 3D Da Bomb sidepot, and bottom of the 2D in the ladies sidepot. We are lucky to have this amazing boy be apart of our team the remainder of the season and loving how he and Brooke are working together!
What an amazing weekend at the Speed Horse Bonanza! We went for the hot day Saturday and braved the humidity and afternoon storms for a super fun and successful day!
Brooke and Boo had a great solid run running a 16.5 to finish in the Open and Ladies 3D but out of the money. We are so excited with how this team is doing this year and how everything is starting to come together during their runs!
Allie and Jet had their second NBHA run and first time at a big show and had a great run! It was their best run yet working on smoothness and getting their feet wet as a team! They ran a 19.0 and finished in the Open and Youth 4D. We also brought along her new horse Cookie who rode around for exposure and took in the larger show in stride! We canât wait until she starts to expo more and begin to compete
Ember and Dallas had a great smooth run, their first as a team at a large show and a covered arena where they once again beat a personal best and finished in the Open and Youth 4D. Ember is becoming a strong rider starting to really get in sync with Dallas and be able to push and hustle her more and more!
This coming weekend is our first full weekend off all summer then we are back at it heading out to West Virginia for our next NBHA
Saturday was a very long wet day after an intense storm moved through and 249 entries! Brooke and Boo competed at the Speed Horse Bonanza where they beat their personal best with a 16.5. The finished in the Open, Adult, and Ladies 3D but out of the money.
The season just started and weâre already full steam ahead with the next race this weekend where Brooke and her students will all compete on a standard pattern.
The summer season has officially kicked off!
The season started off at a local NBHA with the whole Valkyrie team!
Dallas and Ember ran in their first NBHA having a super smooth run putting them in the Open and Youth 4D
Melody and Allie also had their first NBHA and while they had some wide turns and wrong leads they also ended in the Open and Youth 4D
Boo and Brooke laid down an awesome run to start the season off beating their own personal best in this arena while at the bottom of the ground. Normally a 2D time put them in the middle of the Open 3D where they also finished 4th in the Ladies 3D and 4th in the Jackpot 1D!
This season is off to a great start as we prepare for our first ranch show this coming weekend!
Brooke and Boo Who Lolli went up to PA this weekend to shake off the winter cobwebs where they had an amazing run! Theyâre least run of the season was in November and Boo had a well deserved winter break from a tough season. The team is still letting up preparing for 2023 but they are coming into it ready to compete!
Their first race back they ran a 16.3 to finish 9th in the Open 2D and win the entire Adul 2D! We are so excited to see how this team does this year as the NBHA season starts next month!
We are very proud of Boo and Brooke this season and their run at State Finals. This pen has been their Achilles heel all year. While they have been clocking fast times in most pens they can never hit their groove here. Brooke has been resting the best she can since her accident and being only 3 weeks out and only 3 rides on her leading up to this race they went in with no expectations and hoping that Brooke wouldnât feel any pain.
Boo really stepped up helping Brooke and taking care of her not only giving their best run in this pen but beating their personal best time here and finishing out 4th in the 4D to take home some money as well.
This has been a super tough season for this pair full of ups and downs and weâre so excited to see them getting into the groove of things and really becoming a team. They have 2 more races left in the season where they are hoping to solidify their Top 5 standings in the 2D and 3D for year end.
Some desensitizing work with 3yo Qhloe who is for sale! When working with young horses we expose them to a variety of objects and situations to help them later in life! Sleigh bells are great for getting a horse over loud noises as well as objects hitting their sides.
Brooke and Boo had a very successful night in West Virginia last night. Their hard work is paying off as their patterns are becoming smoother and more consistent. They ran a 17.212 to finish 7th in the 2D ! We are always proud of this team and how much they are coming together this year
Final Runs of 2021
Brooke and Boo had a very successful weekend at the Speed Horse Bonanza for their final runs of 2021. This was their first runs in Booâs new custom 7 Saddle and they ran a 16.5 to finish in the middle of the open 3D Saturday, 3rd in the Ladies 3D, and 4th in the Adult 3D.
Sunday they ran a faster time of 16.3 finishing in the bottom of the open 2D, 2nd in the Ladies 2D, and won the adult 2D.
This year has been a massive year for these two and they canât wait to see what 2022 brings.
After a very long day Saturday, Brooke and Boo managed to have a good run late that night at the Back the Blue benefit barrel race. Although out of the money they finished in the 3D out of 257 tough riders. Congratulations to this team who continue to improve every run.

Brooke and Boo have kicked off their official NBH season this past weekend with a smoking run. Setting their personal best time yet and personal best at this arena they finished in the Open 3D and the Adult 2D with a 16.264. This team has been working hard and we are excited to see this talented mare taking everything in stride.
