All For Love Animal Rescue (AFLAR), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit all-volunteer animal rescue group, dedicated to saving abandoned animals from shelters in Southern California. We are an all-breed rescue, but focus on dogs in the most need, primarily Pit Bulls, followed by seniors, Chihuahuas, pregnant dogs and those needing medical care or surgery. We rescue, rehabilitate, and find forever homes throu

gh adoption events, networking, and community outreach. We advocate for animal welfare, affordable spay and neuter programs, and ending backyard breeding. Through education, we strive to restore the positive image of the American Pit Bull Terrier, as the loving family dog it truly is. We depend 100% on charitable donations to rescue, board, vet, train, and provide medical care, for all of our dogs. She’d love a doggy sibling, too!!!

LITA is a very special girl! She is a medium-sized German Shepherd/Lab mix, about 2 years old. She is a happy little girl who loves her people and enjoys going on adventures with her friends, or just hanging out quietly at home and having a good cuddle.

Lita loves her walks, has good leash manners, and is easy to walk. She enjoys playing with her toys and running on the beach.

Lita would be fine as the only pet in the home, but gets along very well with social dogs, especially large males. She has had fun playing in play group while she was in short term boarding.

This little girl is very special and has a lot of love to give! She is waiting for that special person or family to open their heart and home to her... Is it YOU?

JOEY~ PLEASE SHARE ME ❤️🙏
Trainer says he is the best boy & deserves the best Home!!!

Joey is GREAT with other dogs and has such a sweet temperament. He is an adorable, friendly boy with a puppy-like demeanor. He would love an active home, where he could go on adventures with his person or family!

This 1 and 1/2 year old is a moderate energy boy who wants to please you, and looks to his human for direction. He is on the small size and weighs about 50 lbs.

Joey is funny, friendly, and very affectionate! He's so happy to see you, and will go with you anywhere and hang out or play.

Joey is dog social and loves other dogs. He is a doggie play group rock star!! Joey loves to play with his dog friends and gets along with everyone.
Joey is playful and fun, but not hyper. This darling little boy is just longing for love and friendship! Joey has a such a wonderful temperament, he just makes you fall in love!!!

Please take me Home!!!

Rico is full of life, love and joy. This happy, goofy, boy loves everyone!!! Rico is in a foster home with AFLAR alumni Peaches, two other small dogs, and a foster mom & dad where he is thriving... and keeping everyone entertained!

Two-year-old Rico weighs about 55 lbs. He's the perfect size! Rico loves, loves other dogs—big and little. He has been in play group with other dogs, and does well with the active, friendly players.

Rico is very affectionate and loves to lean against you, soak up the love, and just hang out. Rico is pretty good on leash. If he gets a bit excited he corrects easily, and is very polite and easy the rest of the time. He knows some basic commands and is happy to learn for treats!

Rico would love to be in a home with a family that is active, and would take him places. He would love a yard and ball time. He would do fine with older children, too. He would also do best with another dog in the home, that likes to play.

Rico has SO MUCH LOVE to give!!!

Emma’s foster mom, Jamie says~
“She is very smart - She understands all of our cues in the house as to what things mean when we turn off the tv, or get ready to leave the house. She understands when it’s bedtime, and she goes to the door to go potty before going promptly to bed to sleep. She is so smart and patient. She really pays attention to every cue. The fact we’re very routine helps, but she picked up the routine right away.”
EMMA is such a precious little love!

Once you meet this 4-year- old beauty, it's impossible not to fall in love! Calm and mild mannered, this 58 lb. girl wants nothing more than to be by your side. Take a seat, and she gently leans against you or wants to cuddle in your lap.

It doesn’t matter if you have just met or have known each other forever. Emma just wants you to know you are loved.

Emma adores car rides. He favorite seat is with her head on your lap. Emma makes the best co-pilot and will be a great adventure partner. She loves her walks. She is a good listener, responds well to positive reinforcement and is learning her leash manners nicely.

Emma loves to take slow walks where she can smell everything! Emma has her playful times and can be a goofball. She makes us laugh doing zoomies and she loves it when we laugh and does more zoomies. Emma also likes playing ball and loves her squeaky toys and chew toys.

Emma was briefly in a foster home where she did well with the kitties and children. At the shelter she was kenneled with another dog and she may be dog friendly with proper introductions.

Emma will make a wonderful, loving companion and would do well in a home with children, cats and maybe another gentle dog.

❤️ DAKOTA IS FEELING SAD ❤️
His siblings are adopted, and he is lonely and wondering when his forever family is coming… Please Share him!!!

Dakota is an 10-month-old dream boy! He is a shepherd mix sweetheart, gentle and calm, and good with all dogs and people. He has a lovely balanced energy, and an adventurous spirit that is just waiting for a loving family to show him how to express.

Dakota is fostered on a ranch with other dogs and is very dog friendly. He loves everyone he meets—people and dogs! With people he is a little shy at first, but he is a brave boy and given a minute he likes to say hello.

Each new experience in the world is a delight that he takes in quietly, as he slowly builds confidence. He is good on leash and would love a family who will patiently show him the world. And he would love to be with other dogs who will show him the world is fun.

Dakota is gentle, and would be fine with older children and maybe even cats with a little slow integration.

Dakota is ready for his former home!
Dakota is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

THANK YOU TO OUR LONG TERM FOSTER MOMS ❤️❤️❤️

AFLAR has several dogs that are in long term foster homes. They have not been adopted due to medical or behavioral issues, and so AFLAR continues to pay for all their care—medical, surgeries, food, medicine, etc. AFLAR has always been committed to taking care of every dog we rescue, no matter the challenges.

We want to give a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to these foster parents who have opened their hearts to provide a home for these special dogs. We want to express our huge appreciation for their devotion. Even though they did not choose these dogs to be their forever dogs, they still house and love them as if they did.

The fourth foster mom we want to thank is PAM, who is ATHENA’S foster mom.

We rescued Athena off the euthanasia list at a high kill shelter in October 2021, and brought her to boarding to save her life. Athena struggled with her health from the beginning, and desperately needed a foster home as she did not do well in boarding.

In March of 2022, Pam generously offered to foster Athena. After many vet visits and many tests, we discovered that Athena had a heart condition. She needed a pacemaker which is a major surgery and a long term recovery. After AFLAR got her the pacemaker surgery, Pam took care of Athena and kept her safely in her home. Athena’s delicate condition made an adopter hard to find. For the past 3 years, Athena has enjoyed and thrived in her loving foster home with Pam. Last month, we found out that Athena had developed a mass on her spleen, and again, AFLAR got her the urgent surgery she needed. We just got the wonderful news that the mass was BENIGN, and Athena gets to live out her life!!!

Despite challenges in her own life, Pam has continued to foster Athena and keep her safe and loved. What a gift Pam has been to this precious dog, who needed a home so badly.

We are so grateful to you, Pam for giving Athena the love, care and safety she needs to be healthy and happy. Thank you for partnering with AFLAR, by being such a dedicated foster momma!🙏

The third foster mom we want to thank is LORI, who is Seuss’ foster mom (or Dr Suess as Lori calls him 😍).

We rescued Suess just as he was being dumped at a high kill shelter and brought him to boarding to save his life. Lori started fostering Seuss 4 years ago when he broke his toe and needed surgery. Lori helped us nurse Seuss back to health. Then she worked with some trainers to help with his leash reactivity.

Somehow this sweet boy kept getting passed over, and Lori kept taking care of him and loving him.

This past year Seuss started having seizures and Lori has been caring for him through this challenge. Then we found a mass on his spleen and after we got him the surgery he needed, Lori nursed him through the healing process.

For Seuss, the post op news was wonderful!!! The mass was BENIGN!!!
Seuss will get to live out the rest of his life!

We thank you, Lori, for your partnership with AFLAR, by being such a dedicated foster mom and doing this work of the heart so selflessly!

Our second foster mom we want to thank is EVA. She has cared for MAMA for 4 years. We rescued Mama from neglect and back yard breeding that severely compromised her health and immune system. The first year Eva had Mama in foster was really rough. She had multiple infections and health issues, we did a lot of medical care and vet visits, and Eva provided the love and nursing and care. For the last few years, Mama has enjoyed a loving foster home, beach walks daily, sun baths, balls to play with (her favorite!), treats, and lots of adventures.

Sadly, despite recently doing major surgery to remove her spleen and consults with the best oncology specialists, we just learned that Mama’s cancer has spread and her time is limited. Eva is nursing Mama again, through her hospice care.

We are so incredibly grateful that this dog who did not get many breaks in her life was fostered by Eva, who gave her the most love she has ever known. Thank you Eva, for providing a home for Mama… and for seeing her across the bridge, surrounded by love. In the end, that is the most important thing—to love and be loved. And we are so thankful that Mama has received this precious gift.

We thank you Eva, for your partnership with AFLAR, by being such a dedicated foster mom and doing this work of the heart so selflessly.🙏

The first foster mom we want to thank is Annie. She has cared for Maverick for 5 years. We rescued Maverick from VCAS, and Annie first fostered him because he needed knee surgery. Maverick is difficult to place because of his 'stranger danger' which, despite board and train, has persisted. Annie loves him, keeps him safe, helps him make new friends, and gives him a happy life. Annie is now managing Maverick's Cushing's disease which can be difficult.

If you are looking for a funny, gentle dog with a moderate energy level who wants to snuggle up with his person on the couch... Stevie is your guy!!!!

Got a yard and some butterflies? Stevie is an excellent hang in the yard guy. Like car rides? It’s Stevie’s favorite place to nap! Like an easy walk in the morning. Stevie would like to come along. No pulling, just an easy stroll.

Want just one companion? Stevie is good with that. Stevie went to board and train where he met some nice dogs and did a few pack walks. But he decided that’s not for him and he’s ok with that!

Like a good snuggle? Stevie does too, and will happily provide on demand! Stevie is 6 year old and about 70 lbs. Not too old... Not too young! Stevie’s an all-around good guy, looking for a good person to go home with. Is that you?

💙 JIMMY IS A SWEETHEART💙
Please share Jimmy for a Home!!!

Jimmy is a 10-month-old shepherd/pit mix puppy who loves other dogs! He is friendly, happy, easy going and very social. He is a bit of a clown and an entertainer. He always has the biggest smile of all his siblings. He is the official greeter of the group, ears up, tongue out, happy to see and kiss everyone!!!

Jimmy loves other dogs, and is well socialized with people, too! He is learning his leash skills and is an all around charming and amiable guy!

Jimmy is smart and outgoing, and such a good little boy! He is a bit of a goof and is the first in line to say hello.

Smart and eager to please, Jimmy will be a great addition to any family. He is fostered near Ojai, and currently living with him mom and siblings.

Jimmy has had all his shots, is neutered, microchipped, and ready for his Forever Home!

SENIOR DOG ABANDONED 🙏 Please Share & Donate to Help him!!! We received an email from a good samaritan who reached out for help with this dog. Her brother was working on a construction site in Malibu, where this dog had been abandoned. They took him to a vet and scanned for a microchip but none was found. Their landlord does not allow pets, and they have 2 weeks to find a home so he doesn’t go to a shelter. Today, we went over to meet him so we could help network him for a home. He is the sweetest boy! He has been great with all the different dogs he’s met, and he even gets along with a little bird in the temporary home he’s in! He is also great with children, and is friendly with everyone he meets! PLEASE SHARE him!!! We would like to get him neutered, do blood work, have a vet check up, and get all his vaccinations. He also has a little lipoma or fatty mass on one hip that we’d like to have aspirated and checked. PLEASE DONATE to help us with his medical care… He is so deserving!!! NANI IS HAPPY WHEN SHE’S WITH YOU😍 But sad when she’s alone💔 NANI is a sweet, loving senior dog who’s been let down too many times. She’s especially affectionate with kids, and would thrive in a home where she’s the only dog, as she prefers to be the center of attention and love.💕 No senior dog deserves to live her life in a kennel. Nani’s journey has not been easy. Nani was abandoned at the shelter… then she was adopted and thought she was finally home … then she lost her home… and the stress took a toll on her. AFLAR rescued Nani, and volunteers showered her with love. But with no open foster homes, she was in temporary boarding. Nani suffered in boarding… She was anxious, losing weight, pacing back and forth, and not doing well. It broke our hearts to see sweet Nani so heartbroken. Thankfully, Nani is in a temporary foster home now, but she really needs a stable, loving family to call her own — one where she won’t have to endure the trauma of the kennel again.
