STORMY IS A VERY GOOD GIRL LOOKING FOR HER FAMILY. ❤❤❤❤STORMY is an adorable little 2 year old princess pittie. The day we rescued her was her one-year-old birthday, October 24. She immediately started winning hearts, and giving kisses and cuddles to all the volunteers. This little girl is extremely affectionate and full of love to share.Stormy has worked with a trainer on her doggie manners. We learned that she enjoys playing with other gentle doggies. Stormy continues to enjoy play time with dog friends at the weekly rescue play group. Stormy would do fine in a home with another gentle dog or as the only princess.Being a young dog she loves to play. Rope toys are currently her favorite and she will happily play with it even if you aren't tugging on it. Stormy makes you laugh with her playful antics and makes cute little piglet snorts when she is playing.She also loves to snuggle up with her person and chew on her bone.Stormy has lovely house manners. House and crate trained she is calm and respectful in the home and mostly likes to cuddle. She lives on a boat and plays on the deck or dock with her toys and quietly entertains herself.Stormy is a polite walker on leash and only pulls when she gets excited to see other dogs or something interesting. She easily corrects and pays attention to her person.Stormy would blossom in a home with people who would love, cuddle and play with her, and give her the guidance young dogs need. EMERGENCY FOSTER FOR THE MOUNTAIN FIRE! Thank you Lupe for making your garage into a temporary home for Nani to keep her safe. Most of our volunteers have other dogs and it’s hard to integrate under emergency circumstances. So they work hard to creat safe spaces for our dogs in need.
MOUNTAIN FIRE! EMERGENCY EVACUATION FROM CARL BOARDING FACILITY. In Santa Paula. Last night the flames jumped the river bed. Because of our amazing and dedicated CARL staff and volunteers and AFLAR volunteers all 67 dogs were loaded and ready to go.They were evacuated to a church parking lot in Filmore which was the only place that offered us sanctuary overnight in this emergency.The dogs are in crates in a parking lot. Fed and pottied by volunteers who stayed all night with them.Thank you to the multiple volunteers who got them out just in time.We hope there is still a facility to take them back to once the danger has passed. NANI DREAMS OF A HOME💔💔💔Nani is our only girl in boarding…PLEASE SHARE—Nani thrives in a home but is stressed and losing weight in boarding. She recently lost her home and because we don't have any open foster homes, she had to go into boarding. Senior dogs do not do well in kennel life. Nani is having a very hard time. She does not understand why the people she loved abandoned her, and now she is in boarding. She is not at a shelter, but boarding is still a kennel situation. Every time we come to take her out of her kennel she is so happy and hopeful!!!But then at the end of the outing she is so sad…and so are we. Back to a cold kennel not a cozy, loving home!This 7-8 year old senior girl is the sweetest most loving dog!!!Nani is an easy, quiet, low maintenance girl. She loves all people, particularly children. Nani was lucky enough to be in a foster home for a few months. She was so happy and loved her fosters particularly the little boy. Nani and the 4 year old were best friends and cuddle buddies.What Nani loves the most is to be around her humans. When she sees the people she loves she does a little happy to see you dance that is so sweet and makes you laugh. Once she gets to know you, she will smother you with kisses. She loves to be scratched and loves to lay next to you.Nani doesn't require a lot of activity in her life, just a place where she can play and sleep. Nani loves toys. She likes her walks but they don't have to be very long. She is a little reactive on leash with other dogs, but easy to redirect. Nani would prefer to be the only dog in the home. SWEETHEART RICO ❤️ IS LOOKING...FOR A FAMILY & DOGGIE FRIENDS!!!🙏Rico is a very sweet, goofy, friendly, and happy guy. Just look in his eyes and see his big smile and its obvious what a fun dog he is! Rico is glad to meet you, glad to say hi and glad to play!This 2-year-old boy is about 55 lbs. He is very affectionate and loves to lean against you, soak up the love and just hang out.Rico is pretty good on leash. He pulls a bit when he’s excited, but is very polite and easy the rest of the time. He knows some basic commands and is happy to learn for treats!Rico likes other dogs. He was kenneled with another dog at the shelter before rescue. He has also been in play group with other dogs and done well with the active friendly players.Rico would love to be in a home with a family that is active, and loves to take him places.
