We have been keeping a secret 🙊

Last weekend pippin had a meet and greet with a lovely lady named Jenny.
It all went really well
Pippin went up and sniffed her hand and just yawned ( normally she wouldn't do that and would just bark )

Friday was her 2nd meet with Jenny this time Mel left pip with Jenny for half an hour to see how she would go without her being there. Mel came back to pip sitting on jenny's lap 🥹
Jenny even said she almost got kiss.

Today pippin has started her trial.

Thank you jenny for allowing pippin into your home and heart.
We know she will make you very happy as you will her.

A little bit more about Miss Pip

I have had a bit of a rough trot and I find it really hard to trust, but once I do, I promise I will be your best friend and sweetest lap dog you have ever met.

I would like my new family to be possibly an older female person who is home to spend their days cuddling with me. I also don’t like alot of new people so I don’t work well with a lot of chaos and people coming around.
I am now on medication to help me with this and I have been feeling a lot better but I still have some way to go…
I am very well house trained and crate trained, in fact I do prefer my crate when I’m scared or want to sleep. My foster mum says I’m the sweetest most obedient foster she’s ever had!
I just know I have so much love to give and hoping to meet the perfect person to spend my days laying on your lap getting pats and hanging out.

I love small children, it’s all the bigger ones that make me uncomfortable. Also I don’t like other dogs so best none of them, but I could live with a cat, they are fun to chase but I dont want to hurt them…

Pippin update

Tomorrow marks 2 weeks since pippin has been on the anxiety medication.

Mel has said she has noticed a difference already, she still barks at people who come to the home but she is less fearful and more relaxed.

Pippin update

Last Thursday pippin had all her vetwork done.
Mel took her to the vets around 12pm to be with her till she was sedated since we didn't know how she would go around people she didn't know.

She decided sedation wasn't for her and was fighting really hard to stay awake.

She is doing really well and is healing very nicely.

While at the vets Mel asked about what we can do to help pippin with her anxiety with people so we are currently trialling a low dose anti anxiety tablet.

Anyone new she meets she just barks at them until they leave.

We have no idea what pippin has been through, I just wish we could communicate with them somehow so we can know what is going on.

Pippin is a very happy girl around her people that she feels comfortable with, she will make someone very happy once she gains trust in them.

She isnt available yet but once she is we will be looking for a home that won't rush her she will need space to settle, we might have to do multiple visits so she can get used to the potential adopter ( food and treats help )

As you all know ARC have supported us for years with food donations aswell as other goodies for all our animals that come into our care.

They support hundreds of rescues all around Australia.
They are the lifeline to alot of rescues.

They are in need of our support to help pay for transport to get the much needed food to where it is needed plus storage costs.

Along with every other charity donations have dried up, but this charity is vital to help keep hungry mouths fed.

ARC don't get paid to do this they are all volunteers.

I have set up a fundraiser with them on behalf of hope for life. I have started with a donation of $200 out of my own personal money.

BREED: Mixed ( we gave been told fox terrior, chihuahua x maltese )

This trio and all beautiful puppies who will be adopted into separate homes.
We will be adopting them into homes that have dog/s already to make the transition easier, they have only every really known eachother until coming into care so they do cry when they can't see each other.

These little one would suit someone who is home alot or who has just retired.

Bailey is the first one to do anything out of the 3, she is outgoing

Daisy is more reserved but one she is in a playful mood nothing will stop her.

Coco will sit back and watch for a few moments then she will start playing, She is a real snuggler.

The girls keep growing confidence everyday

We expect our puppies to be treated as part of the family and welcomed inside the family home to sleep.

Puppies will still need some help with toilet training but as soon as they see grass they do their business.

VETWORK
The trio have had their 1st Vaccination, Microchip, Flea and Worm treatment.
Desexing will be done at 5-6months of age at one of our clinics ( this is included in the adoption fee ). Vaccinations must be kept upto date and certificates must be provided.

We might need your help

Little Coco was taken to our vet today due to having diarrhoea and her stomach is hard.
She is still eating and acting normal.

Xrays were taken and the vets have said
Their is lots of food in her stomach and it’s not getting through to the intestines very well.
They are thinking she could possibly have a worm burden.

They have Dewormed her again ( this is the 3rd lot ) and she will now only be given wetfood until it has passed.

If nothing changes in 24hours she will need to have an ultrasound.

The rough cost for this would be $690

I will be receiving a call tomorrow from the vets regarding availability. If they can't do it Friday I might have to phone around and it will be cost alot more.

Let's hope the dewormer works 🤞

ADOPTION QUESTIONS

🐶When will Coco, Bailey, Daisy and Pippin be available?

We are aiming for the pups expressions of interest in the coming weekish. We are just gaining their confidence, getting them used to being in a home environment and getting to know the type of home they will need. Please be patient though I am working alot at the moment and photos are going to take time since they won't sit still long enough 🤣

Pippin will start her vetwork in the coming weeks once she is fully comfortable. We don't want to push her too much and we set her back. 🥰

Vaccinations MUST be kept upto date.

Pippin will have all her vetwork completed at time of adoption. We might ask whoever adopts her to do a few meets with her so she gets to know you so it's less confronting for her. We will have to see how she goes with new people.

Mel has said she has just transformed overnight, she is now a strange 5 chinger and will suit someone who wants a lapdog and a shadow ( she is literally following Mel everywhere )

These girls got extra lucky have 2 vets look after them today Dr Michelle and Dr Sharon
We did lose Coco the nurses were walking around the clinic cuddling her 🥰 this is why I travel 45minutes each way to the vets the care and compassion is worth it.

I have had inboxes, calls and emails about adoption, I cant stress enough they arent available for adoption yet. We will allow them a week or 2 to settle in and we will access the homes they need. I won't be replying to people im not being rude I stated in the very first post they arent available yet. I understand you are all excited and I am excited for all the potential adopters, they are absolutely beautiful puppies with such amazing personalities.

They will be rehomed and when 6 months old they MUST come back to one of our clinics for desexing ( this is included in the adoption fee )

We also had mum surrender today, she is very unsure about everything and will take her time so settle.

She has her own little space and everything she needs, she can take all the time she needs to feel comfortable.

We don't know her story
We don't know if she had ever been in a car before
We don't know if she has ever met anyone outside of the family
But it does seem like the answer is NO. She is terrified.

We can't stress enough to socialise so this doesn't happen, this is stress that shouldn't happen.

Everything is all set for 3 little ones to come down from the riverland tomorrow.

We have mum and 2 pups coming down to start their new lives.

Mum is 5 years old and will be going to live with foster mum Mel for a little while

The pups are still looking for a foster home together.

We are having to buy a crate for them to be transported safely since this wasn't planned.

I can't thank Jenny enough for offering to bring this family back to Adelaide with her tomorrow.

Foster carer needed for 3 pups

Must be able to travel to our vets in the Northern suburbs of Adelaide for appointments.

Would prefer someone who has fostered before but any help is appreciated
