You made nearly TWO HUNDRED shares to help Scarlett and Tracy find a new home. Thank you! Unfortunately their situation is urgent, and despite all the shares we haven’t had anyone contact us about them. Can we ask for your help again?

Their owner has developed dementia, and the house in New Orleans where they’re still living is being sold.

The gray kitty, Scarlett, is 10 years old and is friendly and lovable. Calico Tracy is 9 years old and is a little more shy than Scarlett but still very loving when she gets to know you.

Both cats are spayed and urgently need to be loved and cherished.

HURRICANE SEASON IS HERE!!! June 1st - November 30th

Visit AVMA.org and GetAGamePlan.org for emergency preparedness information.

-Be Sure your pet is current on Vaccinations. Have proof of vaccination for your records
-If your pet requires medications, keep a list of current medications and doses. refill prescriptions Before your supply runs low.
-Keep food, especially prescription diets, well stocked.
-If your pet will require medication for travel, request to have it on hand well before you need to travel.
-Provide your pet with a sturdy, secure and roomy carrier suitable for extended periods of travel.
-Have your pet microchipped as a means of permanent identification and have your pet wear a collar with an ID tag.
-Make arrangements early for pet-friendly travel and accommodations. Don not leave your pet behind.

In mid-19th-century London, cats had a liminal status, perceived by the humans they lived alongside as being somewhere between regulators of vermin—they helped control the population of rats and mice that flourished among the goods brought in and out of London’s teeming docks—and vermin themselves. At the same time, however, a new cat was beginning to emerge. This was a round-faced, wide-eyed, sleek-bodied creature that was pampered, primped, and lavished with affection. The proliferating creatures drawn by Louis Wain, an artist born in Clerkenwell in 1860, whose anthropomorphized felines, engaged in activities such as playing cricket or singing in choirs, came to populate the pages of the Illustrated London News no less densely than their feral cousins prowled the warehouses along the Thames.
