Philly just wants a retirement home 😭😩 This senior boy lived his life with his dad and doggy siblings unfortunately his dad passed away leaving him and his siblings homeless. Philly has some medical conditions (a heart murmur that has to be monitored) he will need a very laid back home with lots of cuddles and movie dates. Philly is looking for someone to love him till his last days they way he loved his dad durring his last days.
Red Fern Animal Rescue Emma
Emmy has been waiting for her furever family for several years & is giving Saint Monica a run for her money as the patron saint of patience & perseverance.
Emma spent almost two years in a high kill shelter in Texas. She was a staff favorite & every time tough decisions for space were made, they skipped her as they liked her so much. When Emma still hadn’t been adopted after two years, Red Fern Animal Rescue was asked to bring her North to make her a Colorado girl in summer 2023.
Emma is about 5 years old & in the prime of her life. She seems to be a Carolina Dog, known as intelligent, happy, eager to discover & easy to motivate. These dogs develop a close relationship with their owner & are cuddly, sensitive & very affectionate within the family.
Emma is mid to high energy. She jumps with four legs in the air when released her from her kennel, but immediately calms down when told to sit. Emma will be a good mix of a hiking & couch buddy.
In Colorado, Emma lives in a foster home with an amazing trainer. She is socialized & exposed to all kinds of daily situations like walks in the neighborhood, parks, stores & Petsmart. She walks great on the leash, mind a squirrel here & there- still working on that, but can you blame her? She pretty walks straight past all the barking neighbor dogs except to say hallo to her friends. She knows sit, down, come, shake, NO, kennel & place. Emma will come with two free sessions from her trainer to help her transition & set her up for success in her new home!
Emma is extremely sweet & loves all people! She was great with submissive dogs but after getting attacked she doesn’t trust dogs. She would need a home with no other pets or a very slow introduction. We don’t blame her for being weary after being hurt.
Due to her being a bit rambunctious she would do best in a house hold with kids 10 years or older. She currently lives with a 9.5 year old.
She would love to finally have a couch to share with her own human.

She is the goodest girl and just finished up the several month process of heartworm treatment. Scout was originally an owner surrender to ACS in San Antonio and was a staff favourite because of her sweet demeanor!
