My surgery got moved from April 10th to the 24th! So, I have appointment availability until April 20th now and filling fast! I was told I need to refrain from work for 8 weeks and take it fairly easy for at least 12 weeks. I'm doing my best to schedule dogs around this and I apologize if schedules get a bit wonky during that time. I am currently booking into mid/late July and I'm filling up fast! I have been grooming here in Waterford, VT since June of 2005. I started grooming from home soon after my first son was born. Many of you remember my boys having their breakfast when you arrived with your pet. I have been lucky to have so many wonderful dogs, a few cats and rabbits come to me for care. I have met so many wonderful pets and people.

Before opening Windy Ridge I worked at local Veterinary Clinics. I continued for a short time while my business grew. Quickly I realized I was to busy for both, and needed to focus on grooming.

I have always missed working in the Veterinary environment, about six months ago I reached out to a local clinic that had hours I felt would be compatible with my grooming schedule. I was looking for something part time. I was quickly hired and soon after offered a full time position as Practice Manager.
I reduced my grooming hours significantly in hopes of balancing both jobs, family and my personal needs. I have been trying to find that balance for several months and have continued to adjust my schedule.

I am realizing I simply do not have the time for it all. I will be closing Windy Ridge. With many mixed emotions I will be canceling everyone's future appointments. This has not been an easy decision and I have been avoiding what I have known I needed to do. I apologize that I am unable to reach everyone personally.

We are excited to announce that we are expanding our services by offering SURGERY with non specialist veterinarians 2 days a week. Our schedule is now open to book surgical procedures on Mondays and Thursdays with Dr Girouard and Dr Plumley. Though they are not board certified, nor residency trained, they share a love of surgery, a commitment to constantly growing their surgical skill set, and together have over 40 years of surgical and veterinary experience.

Dr Girouard and Dr Plumley devoted a significant portion of their professional careers to pursuing surgical training with board certified specialists and surgical continuing education courses. By offering these surgical services, we hope that we can continue to support the local veterinary and pet community by providing another option for care to help alleviate the pressures of the high regional caseload.

Patients will undergo a physical examination and any necessary preoperative testing on the morning of the surgical procedure at Littleton Area Veterinary Urgent Care. Owners will have the opportunity to speak with the veterinarian before and after the procedure. Patients will be monitored by an experienced technician, receive a high standard of compassionate care and be monitored and treated with the exceptional equipment, analgesic and anesthetic medications available in the surgical suite at Littleton Area Veterinary Urgent Care.

For more information and/or booking surgical procedures please email [email protected]. Please have your veterinarian refer you for surgery by emailing a brief overview of the case history, requested procedure and all relevant history, lab work and imaging. This email is monitored and checked daily, and you or your veterinarian will receive a call from the surgical technician to discuss the procedure, provide an estimate and schedule the procedure.

I have recently decreased my grooming hours and availability significantly.

I have had to let go of many families, some I have groomed for nearly 18 years.

When frothing, emulsifiers are activated forming a thick foam which allows for targeted cleaning. Frothing is a great way to apply facial products.
