Just want to put this out there, we have done this before. For you nice people in Canada, you are confusing us with a rescue group of similar name. We are not affiliated with one another and are located over 1500miles from one another. We appreciate the likes and follows but to be honest we believe you intended for the other group and if you are looking for a furry companion you might want to look at the Canadian groups page.

The scariest holiday of the year is coming up - not Halloween, the Fourth of July! Due to loud fireworks, more dogs go missing on July 4th than any other day. Microchips are an amazing recovery tool, but unfortunately, because of yearly fees and confusing platforms, over 50% of microchips are unregistered, which is like having an unengraved ID tag on your collar.

We've partnered with Fi to offer free for life microchip registrations and updates to all - and when you register via the following form, you will be entered to win a Fi GPS collar and one year subscription, the perfect pairing to a microchip! With a Fi GPS collar, you can track your dog in real time and have extra peace of mind - not to mention track their steps and exercise!

Register or reregister your microchip at this link to keep your pup safe and win a Fi collar: https://finano.typeform.com/FiNano?utm_source=1.5 =435

FAQ:

Can I register my chip with Fi even though it's registered elsewhere? Yes! When your chip is searched in the universal database petmicrochiplookup.org, both registrations will show up, but your Fi registration shows as the most up to date and you will never be charged. Your old registration can stay in there, but you can keep your Fi registration up to date for free.

Why do I need a GPS collar if I have a microchip? Microchips are NOT GPS - in order to find your pup via a microchip, someone has to find your dog, bring them to a vet to have them scanned, look up your information, and contact you - that's why the registration is so important!

***ADOPTED***
Tupac came in with some litter mates from an unwanted litter. He was a Valentine's pup, born to a black lab mix mother and a shepherd mix father. Tupac is guesstimated that he'll grow to be some where between 60-70 #, as adult. Since being in the rescue he has received current shots, dewormed, he's chipped, and scheduled in August for his neuter (a spay/neuter contract will be required to sign if adopted before his August date).
Tupac can be a reserved fella until he has had time to assess the situation and once he is comfortable, he is a very energetic and happy boy that loves to go onto adventures. Tupac should be easily trainable as he loves his treats. Tupac has been around dogs, cats and older kids. Ideal home for him is one with room to run and explore with maybe a couple of kids.
Reach out and find out more information about him.

***ADOPTED***
Louie was surrender after his owner had to go into hospice care and no one of the owner's family was able to take Louie in to care for him.
Louie is a 4 year old neuter Yorkie mix. He is not a big fella, around 10 lbs at them most. Louie is a quiet natured boy that doesn't bark much at his foster home other than first thing in the morning when the alarm clock goes off or when they come home from work day. Louie, is scheduled for minor surgery for removal of 2 growths that don't appear to be growing on his brow line, he is scheduled in middle of May for the appointment. Louie has done well with out having accidents in the house and is believed to be housebroken, he does not mind other dogs and cats and interacts well with both. Louie is crate trained for when gone at work. We have brought his vaccines UTD, he has tested negative for heartworm, he will be chipped upon adoption. His coat is on courser side like a Brussel Griffon terrier texture and does not grow out very fast but will require occasion trimming to owner's satisfaction. He has not shed in his foster home. Louie is looking for a home where he can get the companionship he is looking for.
Feel free to contact us with questions or if you would like to set up a time to meet Louie.

***ADOPTED***
Chica is a bug loveable girl that is looking for her forever home. She has been brought current on vaccines, spayed, deworming, chipped, and is Heartworm negative.
Chica was unwanted by original owner and was thrown out on front lawn in a crate, with a sign saying "FREE". A Good Samaritan took her in with plans to get her into a rescue that can find a good home that would love her and make her a part of a family.
Chica, can be a bit reactive without the correct handler. She does not show aggression just will pull on leash, bark and try and see the other animal. Chica has shown that she can get along with some other dogs that are not reactive, she does not care for small puppies. Chica can not go to a home with cats or small animals (ex: rabbit, chinchilla, etc). For the safety of such animals, Chica will not be adopted to homes with such animals. If you have another dog, it is better if it is 45 # or bigger since she can play rough.
Chica is working on social skills with her foster mom and taking obedience lessons to teach her to be more calm, or she will jump up on a person.
An ideal home would be with an intermediate - advanced handler or very experienced individual with the breed, she would do fine individually or with another dog her size and that is very calm. Applicants will be required to give reference of a vet in your name not someone else, to show actual experience with the breed as an adult not just growing up with the breed. A meet and greet will be also required for consideration.

***ADOPTED***
Sam came to us a transfer from another rescue that took him in after being found with a serious eye injury. It is believed that he was hot by a vehicle in the head and hence he lost the eye due to injuries.
A missing eye doesn't seem to slow Sam down. He is wonderful with people and tends to get in tune with people's feelings and will respond to his human if they are upset.
Sam is current for shots, dewormed, chipped, and is neutered. He is around 1 year old.
His quality of life has not been hindered because of the missing eye. He would love to be an individuals companion and go for car rides and lots of walks. Sam is a nut for fetching of tennis balls.

***ADOPTED***
Baby was surrendered to rescue by an older couple. It was not Baby's fault why she came to us, there was health/medical issues that will take up alot of time with cares. It is said she is about 2 years old, she is a teacup Chihuahua (5 #). She is a typical Chihuahua. She is reserved around strangers, wants to be carried whenever she can, and be treated like the princess she thinks she is. She is not a vocal girl. She is 50/50 with going outside to do her business but is potty trained to puppy pads 100%. We were told she got along with the couples grand kids but the foster has yet to check out if it is true, it would be recommendation of the rescue children be 12 yrs or older. She still has good teeth and is not offered wet foods as primary diet to avoid developing cavities and/or dental issues that the breed is prone to. Baby tolerates but does not interact with the cats and dogs in her foster home.
Baby is getting her vaccines (she may need a booster if adopted before it comes due), dewormed, chipped, she has an appointment June 7th for spay (unless a cancellation happens to open up a spot sooner).
If you would like more information please call, text or email us, we are more than happy to help.

***ADOPTED***
Cardi is a sweet, fun loving girl that came to rescue as part of an unwanted or "oops" litter. We were told mom was black Lab mix and father looked like a shepherd mix, so it is anticipated that she will be 60 # or bigger as an adult. Cardi is being fostered with her siblings as well as with other dogs, cats and a rabbit so that she will be a well rounded and socialized pup. She can start of as a submissive and shy girl but after she has checked out her surrounding she is all about the party and wants to romp and play with whoever will look her way.
When Cardi came to us with her litter, we had to start her vaccines that are appropriate for her age, she was born on Valentine's Day. She's a begun her shots, is chipped, being dewormed, started flea/tick preventative/heartworm medication, and is scheduled in August 2022 for her spay. There is a spay/neuter contract to go along with adoption contract if she is adopted before her August spay date.
Cardi would love to find a busy and active home with some kids and maybe another doggie companion to play in the yard with.
If you would like to find out more about her or her siblings please give us a call or send an email.
