Gooooood boy Boaz Adin Dom!
Demonstrating his great skills at a small driven hunt 💪🏻💚💪🏻.
nemški kratkodlaki ptičarji/Deutsch Kurzhaar/German Shorthaired Pointer Kennel - based in Slovenia
Since 1970 we've had an active Kennel of German Shorthaired Pointers. Our goal is to breed healthy, versatile and good looking GSPs, with balanced character, which perform their best both at work and in day to day family life.
Gooooood boy Boaz Adin Dom!
Demonstrating his great skills at a small driven hunt 💪🏻💚💪🏻.
Always so satisfying to see our dogs enjoy doing what they were bred for - thank you to all the dedicated owners! Some Adin Doms in action during hunting season …
Over the moon that our trip to the motherland of the breed was successful - ultrasound confirmed that we are expecting Adin Dom‘s first litter of Spinone Italiano.
This is a very special combination as both parents are not only seasoned and tested hunting dogs with great traits, noses and hunting understanding but also very successful in the show ring with several titles (including Reserve Junior World Winner).
We would love to see the pups in hands where they will be working (hunting/mantrailing etc.) and maybe also be shown.
If you are interested in a pup, please contact us soon as there are already some reservations.
Boaz and his family gave us an early Xmas pressie:
Like his brothers and sisters he received excellent health results and with this is eligible for breeding. Despite his young age, Boaz has reached the top in work and above all has a perfect character living in a pack with other males and human kids: tough and powerful at work, a relaxed cuddler at home. Boaz is based in Belgium.
Here is his data:

Amazed by our B II-Litter:
From 7 dogs, three already have received their breeding license, two more will follow soon if all goes well - and one will most probably do it next year 🙏💚🙏.
In addition to a breeding plan which worked out, all this wouldn’t be possible without dedicated owners who put all their love and efforts in their 4-legged-partners. Very grateful - you guys rock!
Click on the pics to find the individual results of the individual dogs.
So very excited about this combination:
We have found the perfect partner for our Elin - Ugo from the motherland of the breed.
It’s a rare combination where both parents are seasoned and clever hunters in field, forest and water who are in revier every day and have proven their great traits with outstanding trial results.
In addition to that, both are also successful in the show ring and perform very well in both worlds. Finally, both have friendly and calm characters.
Spinones have great noses and are in general a bit less high-drive than GSPs thus making them interesting also for example for older hunters.
We expect very promising pups for hunters, people who want to do professional nose work like mantrailing and in addition for show and breeding.
If you are interested in a puppy from this outstanding combination please contact us soon.
Yet another great result for our B II-Litter (Vigga Adin Dom - Dino von der Eickser Höhe):
Blueberry, Bor and Brikka Adin Dom all earned the „Leistungszeichen Saujager (Natur)“ for their work behind wild boars today.
In Slovenia, this can only be done at a special hunt. Today‘s trial hunt was organized by DLP (Club for pointing breeds Slovenia) and their judges.
Our dogs searched widely, found boars, pushed them out - and the boars were shot in front of them.
Huge congrats to the handlers and thank you to the judges and organizers.
Very proud breeder moment🙏💚🙏!
When you have a great hunting dog, he needs his own timeplaner 😂.
Our Uras Adin Dom enjoys the time of the big driven and smaller hunts for rabbits etc. in the north of Germany. He and his owner are invited often and have at least 1-2 hunts every week at the moment. Very proud of the work and performance our Uras shows - thank you to his owner Stefan for giving him such great life and opportunities 🙏💚🙏.!
Crossing fingers that with some luck a new chapter of Adin Dom Kennel‘s history has been started yesterday evening in beautiful Toscana. 🙏💚🙏
We are over the moon to have found an exceptional male for our Elin.
With this combination of two health-tested great hunters who prove their traits and work ability regularly in revier we expect highly promising Spinone Italiano pups with great noses, working abilities, balanced characters and great form (both parents are champions).
More info to follow soon!
P.s.: The flashlight is a bit misleading, but handsome Ugo is brown roan which means we could get pups in all colors …
Great achievement for Adin Dom‘s B II-Litter:
At today‘s breeding licensing of DLP (Club for pointing breeds) Slovenia, Brynja, Bor and Blueberry Adin Dom - after yet another thorough checking and measuring - got their form evaluation of excellent confirmed and received their permanent breeding licenses.
All of this wouldn’t be possible without determined handlers who put their heart and efforts to the dogs. Thank you all - also to DLP for a great event with perfect organization.
The cherry on top on a successful 2023:
Our Brynja today managed to pass the reliable brining exam - Bringtreue - where a dead fox is brought into terrain from the back without tracks two hours before the trial and the dog then is sent to search without any bringing command.
As it was pouring rain, the fox looked rather like a washcloth when Brynja found and brought it. 🤨
Thank you to JGV Dreiländereck for the nice trial in a family-like atmosphere and the judges for waiting patiently in these harsh weather conditions 🙏!
Geese hunts are in full swing in Scotland - and our Emrys (Ulan) Adin Dom is essential part of his owners adventures securing and bringing him the strong and heavy animals.
Gooood boy!
When you passed the autumn exam with flying colors - it’s time for some fun hunts 😀😎.
Our Blueberry (Blue) Adin Dom working on partridge …
Still in awe with what our Boaz and his owner Johan managed to achieve:
With just 1.5 years, Boaz not only passed the highest versatile hunting exam, the VGP, with over 30 different subjects in Germany. He also managed to get a „4h“ in pointing for his work. Plus he „en passant“ passed the „Leistungszeichen Bringtreue“, the reliable bringing of the fox, in a different trial on the same day.
Judges praised Boaz great traits, precise work and balanced character.
We know Johan aimed for a bit higher as that was the performance Boaz had always shown before. But on the day of the bloodtracking and the day before it had rained like crazy making the conditions very difficult, and sometimes you just need a bit of luck.
We are extremely proud of Boaz and Johan and the whole team: Dog and owner drove every week 350 km from Belgium to Germany to be able to train - and wife and kids supported their big dream. It’s an amazing dedication to support the dog‘s development like this, and as breeders you just dream to find owners who are willing to make these efforts.
Huge congrats again to the whole „Team Boaz“ - you rock!
Another amazing HZP-result of our B II-Litter:
Bor Adin Dom participated at the autumn trial at LKD Ljubljana this weekend and achieved excellent 187 points thus winning this prestigious trial with 15 entered dogs.
Huge congrats to our boy and his handler Goran for reaching top points in all the natural traits subjects - very proud 💚💪🏻💚!
To celebrate, Bor and Goran went pheasant hunting for the first time - pure joy for both!
Vigga and Brynja Adin Dom - mother and daughter - modeling for TRIXIE 💚
Extremely proud of our Brikka and Blueberry (Blue) Adin Dom who not only successfully passed the autumn hunting trial (HZP) at LKD Celje - but did so with amazing results: Brikka got 184 points and Blue 188.
Huge congrats to Dusan and Milan who despite some nervousness managed to achieve very good results in every subject 💚💪🏻💚!
Thank you to the organizers and judges for a very fair trial in great reviers!
We are always so happy to receive updates und pics from our dogs.
Here you see our Boaz Adin Dom (1.5 years) who lives in Belgium enjoying life at pheasant hunt.
Second pic is our Ulric Echo Adin Dom (5.5 years) who is a certified mission search and rescue dog in South Africa.
It’s been quite a year for this young lady - very proud of our little one and her achievements so far. But above all, we are in love with her character 🙏💚🙏.

The eagle has landed - in the real sense 😃:
Happy and grateful that the last pup of Adin Dom‘s class of 2023 has arrived safely in his new home and was picked up by his new owner at the airport of Helsinki. Alvin will join a pack of Wirehaired Istrian Hounds and for sure will enjoy the great hunting possibilities up north.
Have a great life, big boy - we will miss you! 💚
Good girl Brynja - or please be prepared:
Hunting season has started in many European countries …
Dear followers, it’s finally October, and the time for hunts has started.
As we breed Deutsch Kurzhaar, a versatile hunting dog breed, our dogs work by our side, also with game.
If you feel offended by seeing dogs working according to their original purpose and breeding goal i.e. carrying dead game, we suggest you check our page again next spring when we will hopefully post cute puppy pics again.
Thank you for your understanding!
Excellent news from Germany - also our Beatrice Adin Dom passed her Solms in 1st prize with all 4s 🙏💪🏻🙏.
Huge congrats to her owner and handler Christina - you rock!
Our Aston loves his new home - and his big brother. These two are a great team already, and we are sure Aston will be introduced to all the secrets of being a great hunter by him.
Be a good boy, we are happy we found the best family for you!
Besides being a beautiful girl (Slovenian Youth Champion) from outside, Blueberry Adin Dom is also beautiful from inside 😀 - after already being evaluated with HD A and ED 0 she now also has got the evaluation of her shoulders which are OCD free.🙏💚🙏
Another Adin Dom film star 😃:
Our Ulric Echo Adin Dom and his handler Mariann were featured in a news story in South Africa's main TV news about a new agreement allowing Search and Rescue dogs to fly in the cabin.
Echo is a certified SAR rubble search dog in South Africa. 💚
Here you can see the TV report:

Congrats to our Zone Adin Dom and her handler Dejan who just won their first trial on natural quails organized by LKK Kovin Kennel Club in Serbia.
It was a tough competition in amazing reviers - which makes it even more special! 💚💪🏻💚
Autumn be like - waiting that the organized driven hunts finally start.
Our Uras Adin Dom and his owner in the north of Germany can’t wait 😍!
Over the moon to receive great news from Belgium:
After rocking both his Derby and Zuchtschau at DK Rheiland, our Boaz Adin Dom has also achieved a 1st prize at Solms there.
Thank you his handler Johan and his family who supports him with all the trainings etc. - it’s always a team needed to be successful 🙏💚🙏!
And our Vada continues her success story winning yet another water trial - the „Arko Memorial" in Krško. Huge congrats to the team, we are very proud of you!
Great news from our Vada Adin Dom and her first time pointing dog-handler:
At the regional water trial organized by LKD Bela Krajina they rocked and won with full points, 1. price and twice the grade of 4h (searching without the duck and tracking of the duck).
Very proud indeed 💚💪🏻💚!
Totally flashed - and grateful to have a dog like that: Our Brynja Adin Dom this weekend was the first dog of our B-II-Litter to start at the autumn trials and did a HZP of a lifetime.
Despite hot 30 degrees Celsius she brought all her passion and skills to the fields and water. Thank you to the judges, organizers and other dog-handler-teams for a perfect trial in great atmosphere and reviers full of game.
Now it’s official - the first Adin Dom ever to have passed the 40-hour-bloodtrack exam under German hunting dog association JGHV.
The other signs / numbers mean that Vigga also has written her LN (loud hunting behind game), HN (sharpness on predators), BTR (searching and bringing the fox without command), the 20-hour-bloodtrack exam and her VGP written into the German hunting dog Stammbuch.
She is really versatile - as to be seen on the last pic where she shows her style on the field working on quails in Croatia two weeks ago. 💚
When you are just 4 months old and discover the joy of smelling and pointing birds:
Proud of Calli Adin Dom who proved her field traits today in Metlika. Thank you dear Bojan for giving our dogs these great experiences in your revier and to the owners of Calli!
Boaz Adin Dom, soon to be 18 months old, enjoying his first hunt on partridges. Goood boy!
Thank you for these great pics!
And they say hound dogs don’t swim 🙃 …
Our Aston, not even 4 months old, conquering river Mirna 💪🏻
Uncountable dogs of ours have been introduced to the secrets of „being a bird dog“ in the solitude of the Croatian mountains on Velebit where you can hunt field quails at the end of August.
It for sure is the happiest time of the year for our DKs - and we have Velebit also close to our hearts. This special place with its smell of herbs in the wind, the stunning views onto the Adriatic Sea and its beautiful wildlife is breathtaking every time.
Thank you to the team of Diana Hunting for organization and most of all to our dear friend Bojan for the time spent together doing what we love most - working with our dogs and exchanging ideas and laughter.
A wise man (Franci Strajnar - Andreja`s dad and founder of the Adin Dom Kennel) once said: Every DK should have his first real point before six months of age. He for sure would be proud of our Cuba, who did her first points (on smell) on field quails up the hills of Velebit with just 3.5 months. Here you go dad - your legacy lives on!
The last one of the glorious Cs has arrived at his new home: CAMU (Finnish for companion) will live with his family in Portugal and Finnland and has travelled the whole Europe already. We know he will have a great life and can´t wait to see him develop. We will miss him in our pack though - such a friendly and uncomplicated soul! 💚💚💚
Step by step the little bird builds its nest:
At today’s CACIB Polhograjski Dolomiti Dog Show our Brynja Adin Dom started in intermediate class, and she did so with style: Handled by dear Pia Grm Urbančič she managed to get:
Excellent 1/ CAC
BOS
CACIB
and thus can call herself
🏵️ Polhov Gradec Dolomiti Winner 2023 🏵️
Great time in the north of Germany:
Our Andreja was invited by JGV Dreiländereck to hold a seminar on apport - first theory and then practical exercises. We had a great time with amazing dog-handler-teams. Thank you to the organizers for a perfect day in a great atmosphere where all the dogs could demonstrate their potential!

When you passed the autumn exam with flying colors - it’s time for some fun hunts 😀😎. Our Blueberry (Blue) Adin Dom working on partridge …
Over the moon to receive news from our pups and their offspring from abroad: Our Vita Adin Dom joined the pack of Vikkas K9 in GB, a well-known company which trains working dogs in several fields for government agencies worldwide. She became their demonstration dog and also enjoys the life being part of her own family. Since they are very satisfied with Vita‘s working abilities, form and character, they had a litter with her. On this video you see her son Herman who works as an explosive detection dog for a government agency in GB. As he is also a great worker, smart, very nice-looking and with an excellent character, he himself is now a stud in Great Britain. Proud that Adin Dom genes will spread also in England! 💚🙏💚
In our experience, one key to having successful hunting dogs is to support their natural traits from puppyhood on. This should be fun and adventurous for them - just like Ara enjoyed her first trip to the forest with her new owner Nina. They even found one hare, and Ara followed its track a bit and started to show some loudness already now with only 9 weeks. Very proud indeed 🙏❤️🙏!
Our Istrian hounds are 4.5 weeks now, and the socializing in all different fields has started: Outside in the garden, on different undergrounds and objects, sounds, different kinds of visitors - and also other dogs in addition to her mom. Of course we only allow dogs from our pack to them for now - and our Spinone Italiano Elin turns out to be a great nanny. Amazed at how gentle and kind she is with the little ones, even making herself smaller for them. Gooood girl!
I am cute and I know it .. Some of our brownies flirting with visitors. Thank you dear Teja for the video 😍!
🎊🎉 Hot news from the European Dog Show in Herning/Denmark: 🚀🏵️ Our little one Brynja drove up north to present Adin Dom among the Creme de la Creme of the Show world - although we are not really part of that scene as we prefer hunting with our dogs 🤪. So the goal was not to be the last and possibly get the grade excellent. What to say - in a very strong competition of Junior females (on both days the class with the most entered dogs of the breed) and with judges who gave „very good“ often, she managed to get placed every day and even got the Danish specialty of „Champion Quality“ for dogs of extraordinary quality which allowed her as a junior dog to run in the ring for best female where she even got placed 👏🏻😍👏🏻: Day 1: Excellent 2 / Champion Quality- Reserve Junior Winner / Reserve Cart - 4th best female of all Day 2: Excellent 4 We saw this as a great experience like taking part in the Olympics where to be part of it counts and never imagined to be graded so highly and even be placed. Thank you so much to the honorable judges Michael Leonard and Wenche Eikeseth for valuing Brynja so highly and to our great Pia Grm Urbancic who handled her the second day - more pics to follow soon …
Great day spent with friends and dogs: In an amazing area to train dogs on boars in Croatia, three youngsters from our B II-Litter (Bor, Blueberry and Brynja) had the chance to work on a 150 kg male boar. All of them showed very promising traits - finding the boar, being loud, trying to stop and / or get the boar to move. Of course we are very proud! Also our other dogs as well as dogs from our friends worked very well, we all enjoyed home-made sausage, good Schnaps a and family-like atmosphere - thank you to all involved! 💚
With 5 months, our Brynja knows exactly how to conquer the water, what to look for and where the interesting things are hiding 😂 … Checking first the water surface where before some wild ducks had swam - to searching through the reed like a tank. Shortly after this video, two ducks flew out of there. Good girl 👏🏻!
Some update from our Boaz who lives with his family in Belgium: In addition to supporting his hunting traits, they have started to train some obedience with him. He just turned 5 months old - good boy indeed!
This litter is simply amazing - doing crazy things already with not even 4 months of age. Here you see Boaz who just moved to his family in Belgium …..
Our Brynja Adin Dom (3 months) received her free swimmer badge today 😃💪🏻. Nothing had been thrown to get her into the water.
The last three who will travel to their new homes very soon are introduced to all kinds of game while they stay longer with us. That also includes first pointings on field quail in our big voliere. They all show really promising traits - proud and happy 💪🏻💚. Unfortunately the site only allows us to post one video. So here you see Bea - in the comments Boaz and Brynja.
Just a little teaser - still speechless about this great success of our Elin (Famose Elin zum Segeberger Forst) at her very first show weekend where she conquered the BIS ring winning junior BOG 7! More detail to follow soon - very grateful to the honorable judges Alenka Pokorn and Vojislav Al Daghistani, to the amazing Pia Grm Urbančič and her team and to Angelika Jensen and Tim Fahner for breeding such a special dog like our Elin!
Ain’t no mountain high, ain’t no valley low, ain't no river wide enough, baby … Very soon you will travel to the other side of the world - but you will keep a place in our hearts, dear Atlas. We tried to give you all the best with you on your way and know you will enjoy your new great life in Australia. Stay a good boy - we know you will 💚💚💚 Atlas Adin Dom (Trisha Adin Dom - Dorian von den Donaumündungen): Derby 1 (all 4s - DK Klub Sachsen) HD-A, ED 0, OCD free Youth Champion of Italy, Slovenia and Croatia: 12x JCAC, 12x JBOB, 2x BOB, 2x BOS, 4 x Junior BEST OF GROUP, res. BEST OF GROUP and JUNIOR BEST IN SHOW 3rd The dream team in the ring was Atlas with dear Pia Grm Urbančič
Hot town, summer in the city … The pups who stay a bit longer until they can travel to their new families already swam last Friday when they visited Zuzemberk. Today we walked to the river next to our house as the current is not so strong anymore - and all pups again swam, all without splashing. With fun and playing ideal foundations for enjoying the water are being laid. Thank you to our dear friends Danijel and Petra with helping to have an eye on every pup! 🙏💚
As a breeder, you are always happy to get feedback showing that the plan you had in mind about a certain combination obviously worked out. Pups from our B II-litter already prove their traits and instincts: Here you can see Bor (9 weeks old). His owner shot the roebuck this morning. Bor carefully inspected the area where the game was shot, found some blood and followed the short track. Then when the owner took care of the meat etc., he patiently waited on his blanket and watched carefully (check comment). Good boy Bor, we are proud of you! And thank you to his handler for giving him these opportunities!
Introducing - little Miss Keeper aka: BRYNJA (old Viking / Scandinavian name meaning: shielding - armour) With this name, she continues her mother‘s line tradition (her grandma is Rune - the Viking letter/sign, her mother is Vigga - a Viking warrior/shieldmaiden). Welcome to the pack, little one! 💚💚💚
Early morning routine: Puppies leaving their sleeping area around the whelping box to go outside and enjoy their breakfast.
Pups are 6 weeks old now, and in this important socialization period we try to get them used to many different things like all kinds of people, undergrounds, noises - and of course also other kinds of dogs. Our pack plays a big role in this period, and the best nanny for sure is our wirehaired Istrian Hound Dorli who is very friendly and patient yet clear in her communication. The pups adore her 😍🙏❤️!
We are happy to have a new generation of field quails in the making 💚😍💚- after growing and developing, big voliere is waiting for them outside.
Pups are five weeks now and broaden their horizon every day. Yesterday they were introduced to an alive quail - they were soo excited and proved their good noses already. Since we have sun and quite warm temperatures the last days, they spend some time in the big outside area everyday. After that, they know their way back to their sleeping area by heart already. And like kids, they sleep so well for some hours after their outside adventures 💚💚💚.
