Good Evening, I apologise for any delays in contacting I have been in hospital. However, I am back to business as usual and we have a few dog walking slots available over the next week if your furry friends are requiring some fresh air 🐾

Unfortunately we have a delay in the council inspection for our home boarding licence so we will not be taking any bookings for the foreseeable future. Apologies to all whom have been in touch but until the licence has been passed we cannot get the correct insurance.
We are happy to continue to offer dog sitting services and our dog walking will continue as usual.

🐾INTRODUCTION TO SCENTWORK🐾

Course start dates 👇

3 week courses starting on

- 11th February 4pm - 6pm
- 25th February 10am - 12pm
- 17th March 10am - 12pm
- 7th April 10am - 12pm
- 28th April 10am - 12pm

🐾Did you know that 15 minutes of Scent work is the equivalent of a 90 minute walk 😮

🐾 All our scentwork classes are delivered by accredited trainers (that includes Mantrailing and Tracking) and our scentwork classes are delivered by the WINNER of UK SNIFFER DOGS silver instructor of the year award so you can be assured you are in good hands with Askan-k9.

🐾 Training courses are ran over 3 consecutive weeks with each session running for 2 hours - 121 training may vary and puppy scent work runs for 6 consecutive weeks with each session lasting 1 hour

🐾Scent work is mentally and physically stimulating for dogs. Not only does this mean its a great way to help Enrich your dogs life but it can also be an amazing outlet for dogs that are unable to get as much physical exercise. This could be older dogs that aren't as active, young dogs who are full of energy but are restricted to the amount of physical exercise due to still developing or even dogs recovering from surgery.

🐾Once we have taught you all the tricks of the trade you will then be able to train with your dog anywhere, and we mean ANYWHERE... There is no need for lots of fancy equipment so you can get started straight away.

🐾 For all ages and breeds! You don't need a working line scent detection dog to come on our course and start your scent work journey.

🐾It's safe for reactive dogs too! If you have been turned away from dog classes before because you have a reactive dog, then why not try scent work? Give your dog something else to focus on and really harness their natural ability. If you feel a classroom environment is just to much for your dog, then how about a 1-2-1 not only can your dog learn scent work but can build confidence up in a new environment and even join in the classes at a later date.


🐾It strengthens your bond with your dog. During the scent work classes you and your dog will work as a team, learning to be able to read and understand your dog's body language better but also being able to communicate to each other in a whole new way.

🐾 If that doesn't sound amazing enough, once you complete the course you and your dog will receive a certificate and rosette to mark your achievement 😉.

It's a bit wet outside today.. our pooches are certainly not wanting to get their bottoms wet!!

Can I visit you before I book?

Of course.
I understand that your Dogs are number 1 priority. I would never lodge mine without meeting and greeting the boarding so I would expect my customers to do this.
We are currently in the process of upgrading our doggy suite and garden run for your Dogs pleasure and safety. Viewings can be booked at the end of January and I am taking bookings for lodging from March.

Welcome to Leash & Lodge. My name is Emma and I'm an experienced dog handler. I have been around our furry friends since I was born, with my Grandmother & Mother both long serving members of the Kennel Club.
I offer dog walking for those days when your dog just isn't able to get out and about as much as you would like.
In addition to this I have my very own doggy suite, custom built in my home with a secure garden for your dogs to stay when you go away.
Fully insured and taking bookings now.
