What a great morning to go out and spread some golden love at CMH!! I was so happy to visit my friends. We haven’t gone in for a few weeks because of the holidays and my eye procedure.

I went to the dogtor again today about my eye being goopy. Good news! No ulcer on my cornea! The dogtor said it could because of my seasonal allergies so we’re going to see if an eye drop helps. I had a lot to say since I wasn’t getting enough treats fast enough. I really love my dogtor, Dr Stuhler. She calls me the goldenest girl (which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!!) and I can see the big smile she gets on her face when she sees me. 😘🥰 Do you have a dogtor you love? If not, go meet mine and say I said, “wooowooowoooo!”

I had a good check up on my eye today at the dogtor! She said she thinks my cornea is healing well and that I will probably be able to stop wearing my visor by mid next week! We will recheck it to see how the ulcer is healing on Tuesday. She said I will need to change my dog license tag that looks like a state ID license. She said I will need to add on there that I have corrective lenses. Lol . I was so excited to see auntie Eileen there with my friend, retired Leader Dog mom Leeloo! Since I get so excited about pizza, momma thought it would be a good time that I could have a couple minutes without wearing my cone. So I got to have it off for a few minutes while I was interested in that and had some crust.

Well...with advancing wisdom comes challenges with the eyes. I'm not sure how I scratched my cornea, but it hasn't been healing. That's why it's been so runny. I've been such a trooper momma says...when do I get some ice cream or pizza then??? My dogtor suggested I have a procedure done where they use a medical grade dremmel on the cornea to rough it up all little so that it will encourage it to heal. The good news is I don't need glasses, but I DO have a contact lens in my right eye!! The contact is put over the eye while it heals to protect it and help it grow in the right shape as it heals. So right now I'm wearing a fancy visor. Daddy says I look like I'm a basketball player that broke their nose. My dog sitter said I look like an astronaut. Momma said I remind her of the dental hygenist. Anyway...I'm on medical leave again until this is doing better. I hope with my contact lens I will be able to see Santa better when he comes!!

Thinking of you all at CMH especially today as we remember our dear friend, Patty, that passed away last year. Please lift up her daughter Emily in your hearts today.

Some of our most favorite therapy dog visits have taken place at the MSU libraries during finals and midterms! I have been going to MSU for 12 years!  we always love seeing students and seeing some that we’ve seen during past semesters and others that become new friends that come see us each time during exam season. Today, we even had a couple students coming up with songs with our names in it! That was pretty awesome. They sat with us the whole two hours we were there.  Best wishes, Spartans! I love the snow! From the time I was little, I loved the snow. I knew it was coming this week. I could smell it in the air and waited patiently laying outside for it. Sooooo happy! Woooowooo!

Made a trip out to MSUFCU today with Meili Therapy Dog to visit our friend and dog sitter, Christina and her co-workers. She has helped us have fans that we hadn’t even met yet! So they were very excited to meet us today as a special surprise.
