What a memorable day at the K-W Kennel Club, Kitchener show for Esme. She was awarded BOB & Group 1st in a very competitive Herding Group and got to play in the Best in Show ring! Huge thank you to Judge Ken Buxton for appreciating this charming girl and my friend Ivan Fabina for presenting her beautifully! Thank you to everyone for being so supportive and encouraging😊and my mentor Bonnie Taylor.

2025 ASSA National Colorado: 26-hour driving (one-way) adventure with my good friends Ivan Fabina, Janet Julian, and our fur babies! Meeting old friends and making new ones, learning seminars, ring-side mentoring (fantastic insights and knowledge sharing on movement, structure, and ring performance), visiting hours (lots of hands-on experience) and potential breeding opportunities, and of course the main event – the actual ring showing with so many lovely, beautiful shelties!!! Our little spitfire, Mylestone’s Princess Esmeralda (Esme), showed gracefully in her very first ASSA Show Ring and received lots of lovely compliments on her performance including that she was “clipping daisies”, which I learned was a saying based on her wonderful reach and drive movement! I am very grateful to have had this experience and thankful to Ivan Fabina for presenting her beautifully, and as always, my mentor Bonnie Taylor.
Thank you to all the organizers, judges, ring stewards, and many kind-hearted people that volunteered their time to make this amazing show a great success!

We are delighted to announce our newest Grand Champion, BBPIS, MBBPIG, BPIS (Ltd. Breed Show) MBPIG & Multiple Group Placements GCH Mylestone’s Esmeralda Princess of Lancre. Looking back on her first year in the ring, its been an incredible journey and we cant wait to see what’s next!! A huge thanks goes to my friend Ivan Fabina (Fabina Shetland Sheepdogs) for co-handling with me and my mentor, Bonnie Taylor (Bonnyville Kennels). Esme and I are grateful to all the judges and our friends for cheering us on.
