Our story
Ignorance is bliss. For years I fed Triton super premium dry biscuits (kibble) and the highest quality treats I could get from pet stores and the supermarket. I thought I was giving him the best food possible. But somewhere during my own journey to fix up my diet, I started to look at what I was feeding him too. I mean really look. Reading all the labels, and researching canine nutrition.
And I was disgusted by what I found. If you ever want to give yourself a fright, try reading the labels on supermarket dog treats. The main ingredients are often wheat or other inflammatory grains, and a whole heap of artificial additives. Unable to find a treat that met my new standards, I started making my own.
Triton loved them. He was particularly responsive to them when we were training. So I started giving them to friends and family. Within a week, I was firmly told that I had to start selling them, because they NEEDED to buy more. Their dogs loved them, and they were relieved to finally have a healthy treat option.
Triton’s Treats are paleo, the raw ingredients are over 95% protein (muscle meat, offal and eggs). They also include mint for fresh breath, and lavender & chamomile to promote calm behaviour. They’re topped off with a minimal amount of coconut flour to get the consistency right, then dehydrated at a low temperature to lock that goodness in.
