💜 💜 LULU 💜 💜

Miss LULU has been for her overall health / wellness check with our PAWSOME Vets Seaside Vet Surgery 😍😍

Lulu won hearts all around & she was a very good girl for all the ‘pokey / proddy’ things that vets do… 🤔🤔

Our precious little lady is in great health, as was to be expected as her previous doting mum took very good care of her. 🩷🩷

Lulu will go back for a precautionary scale & clean of her teeth, as she has some plaque on a few teeth.

The removal of this plaque will be beneficial for NOT only her mouth / teeth but for her overall health! 🤩🤩

Lulu is doing really well as she adjusts to a different ‘everything’, she is very much the social butterfly on our walks & she has a fabulous time doing ‘zoomies’ at the dog park!! 🐾🐾

Also, Lulu is currently having a busy time entertaining a fur playmate…🐶🐶

Missy a darling greyhound is here for a short holiday, Missy was recently adopted by Foster Mum’s niece & is loving her new life.

Lulu is only 2 years old & Missy is only 4 years old…

Ummm…soo let’s just say they are both sleeping 😴😴really well each night recharging for the next day’s play!!🤪🤪

We will do Lulu’s Adoption profile when she is ready to look for her FUREVER home. 💜💜

🤩🤩TYLER UPDATE🤩🤩

Holly’s darling little pup TYLER has headed off to his fur ever loving home with his besotted & very lovely new family Rosie, Bella, and new playmate Peppa. WELCOME Rosie, Bella and Peppa !

Tyler is one of our beautiful Taffy’s pups, and a grown up 14 weeks old. He is totally absolutely ‘Adogorable’ as you can see! 💙💙

Foster Mum is absolutely delighted with the match, and beyond happy that Holly’s Rescue have been able to find the best home for Tyler. She knows that Tyler is going to be Bella’s shadow and little cuddle bug. And Tyler has already made himself a friend with Peppa.

Someone will be home most of the time with Tyler, and he has a very active pooch playmate in Peppa to continue to teach him about big dog stuff, and have lots of fun playing together🤪🤪

TYLER was born into Holly’s Rescue care as his Mumma was expecting when she came into care from an outback town. Port Augusta Council reached out to Holly’s Rescue to find a foster home for Tyler’s Mumma and her son until they were ready for their new home. Mumma TAFFY, Peanut (now DIGBY), sister MAY and brother JET have found their best homes and a new life filled with LOVE.

We had many wonderful applications, and appreciate everyone's patience during a longer than average process to find the right home for Tyler.

Finding the RIGHT home for TYLER took extra time due to circumstances well beyond his control, but the wait has been ABSOLUTELY WORTHWHILE. Tyler is now enjoying a new life with lots of love, cuddles and a playmate that matches his energy levels. His new family said that they have already blessed Tyler with his new name -CHARLIE

We think CHARLIE (aka Tyler) has found his happy fur ever after!!🥰🥰🥰

💖 💖 MILLIE 💖 💖

It is with a fragile heart that I, Millie’s beloved / doting Foster Mum, write to pass on the news that our Precious Millie gained her Angel Wings & gently passed over the Rainbow Bridge peacefully in my loving arms this week.🌈

Our precious Millie was also affectionately nick named ‘LAMBCHOP’ by our brilliant Vets. 🥰🥰

(For those old enough to remember the children’s show with Miss Shari & her curly hand puppet Lambchop.)

This post is not meant to bring sadness…

Only to Honour & Commemorate darling Millie’s precious life. 🌺 🌺

Millie arrived into Holly’s Rescue care late last year with an undiagnosed illness.

Lots of tests & even a specialist consult / ultrasound & it was confirmed that Millie had Cushings Disease.

This condition is treatable & with a simple medicine each morning in her Brekki…

Millie became a HAPPY & HEALTHY Pooch…with a large splash of scallywag thrown in!! 😜😜

We then had lots & lots of fun times! 🤩 🤩

Once Millie became healthy, she absolutely loved going on walks 🐾 & was super happy to interact with anyone & everyone she came into contact with.

Being the friendly sweet pooch that she was, with various foster pooches coming & going into ‘her home’, Millie was always soo kind & tolerant with them. 🥰🥰

It was as IF she knew they needed to settle in gently as they were given their 2nd chance at HAPPY, as had been lovingly given to her! 💜💜

PAWSOME THANK YOU to our AMAZING Vets Seaside Vet Surgery

The ABSOLUTE Kindness, Compassion & overall heartfelt caring shown by all the team over the last 10 months, is EXACTLY why Holly’s Rescue entrust them with our beloved Foster Pooches!! 🐶🐶

Times like these are Bittersweet…

Holly’s Rescue feel privileged & are so happy that Millie got to spend her last cherished time, knowing nothing but the Kindness, Love & dedicated Vet care that she & all Pooches totally deserve!

Millie was 12 years & 2 months of age.

Millie will be cremated & her ashes returned to Holly’s Rescue.

Dear Millie, thank you for coming into my life & letting me LOVE you! 🩷🩷

I will always remember you & you will always be wrapped in my heart. 💝💝

‘The sorrow we feel when we lose a loved one is the price we pay to have had them in our lives.’

Such a precious little soul…

Gentle & kind…

What beautiful memories you have left behind !!💜💜

VALE my darling Millie. 🥰🥰

💜💜 TEMPIS 💜💜

Our darling little man Tempis has gone to his new FUREVER loving home with his beautiful new mum Margaret. 🥰🥰

Margaret came to meet Tempis initially & Foster Mum said:

‘Margaret loved Tempis immediately and Tempis got lots of pats and cuddles. I am really happy with the match; he's going to be so loved!’ 💙💙

Then when Margaret came back to pick him up:

‘Tempis went straight to Margaret as soon as she came in and he seems really happy with her.’ 😍😍

Tempis is going to be a ‘country gentleman’ so am sure he will have an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS life… 🐾🌳🐾

Well done Foster Mum extraordinaire!!🤩🤩

The darling 8 month old Henry has been in his FUREVER home for about a month now.

We had an update from his loving family:

“Henry the dirty dog.

We are just so in love with him and ever grateful for your rescue work!”💜💜

**APPLICATIONS CLOSED **

TYLER

Please note: Holly’s Rescue is located in South Australia & our beloved pooches are NOT available for interstate adoption.

*The potential home we had thought for Tyler is no longer available.*

BACKGROUND:
Several months ago, Holly’s Rescue took into care a teeny sweetheart Terrier mix dog called Taffy.
At Taffy’s initial vet check it was discovered that this precious little lady was pregnant.
Darling Taffy gave birth to three healthy beautiful babies, 1 girl & 2 boys.
These little puppies are now ready to find their individual FUREVER loving homes.
*All of Taffy’s puppies will be adopted separately. No siblings will be adopted together to prevent possible littermate syndrome.*

TYLER
Beautiful boy Tyler is 12 weeks old & weighs a healthy 2.4 kg.
Tyler was the smallest of the litter & seems quieter than his brother and sister. Tyler however still shows a cheeky streak & is just the cutest bundle of puppy love.
Precious Tyler absolutely loves his cuddles, he will snuggle up to your chin for puppy kisses. Also loves his tug toys & pulling blankets or towels to pieces.
Tyler is super cute and currently super teeny - knee high to a grasshopper!
Mum Taffy is a Terrier mix, however as Tyler’s father is unknown, Tyler is a crossbreed & will possibly be a delightful mix of different breeds. (It has kept the PAWSOME Veterinary staff guessing at to his lineage!)
Remember, adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment. Enjoy the puppy breath, the wiggly tail, and the unconditional love your tiny bundle of cuteness will bring into your life! 🐶❤️

GENERAL INFORMATION:

He is toilet trained to puppy training pads, goes to toilet outside as soon as he wakes up, and sleeps through the night.

He also knows how to sit, and waits politely for his breakfast.

Whilst in care, all sibling puppies have been exposed to other people, and in care with other small adult pooches.
Like his siblings, Tyler is a bundle of puppy energy & cuteness, he will need continuation of his toilet training, plus socialisation to all sorts of different situations and people.
Tyler has not been tested around cats, birds or other pets.

IDEAL HOME:
Tyler would do best with people that have the time, patience, time, (twice) commitment & LOVE to enable him to become the ‘bestest’ pooch that we know he can be!
As Tyler is soo tiny, any children in the home will need to be older (10+) & be very respectful of the puppy’s personal space!
If there is already a dog in the home, we presume / think Tyler would totally love having a pooch playmate as he grows!
Another similar size (smallish) dog, around 6 years or younger would be suitable & it may also be better if the dog is female.
Then they could enjoy playing with a similar energy level & play style so that not only will Tyler have another dog around to enjoy doing ‘pooch stuff’ with, but also to learn from.
Puppies offer many many years of love and companionship if they have the right training, food and loving homes.

NOTE:
** As he is younger than 6 months, Tyler will ONLY be adopted to people that are willing to sign a desexing and vaccination contract, this is non-negotiable.

For Tyler’s next puppy vaccination & desexing, potential people will need to take him to any of our PAWSOME Vets. Seaside Vets (Wallaroo - Yorke Peninsula) Vet 2 U (Port Vincent - Yorke Peninsula) or Elizabeth Park Veterinary Clinic (northern suburbs of Adelaide). (OR a Veterinary clinic agreed to in writing by Holly’s Rescue, may be a viable option.)

Proof of meeting the contract conditions will be required, IF not met, ‘Holly’s Rescue for Senior Dogs Inc’ reserves the right to have the dog returned to us.**

(DACO # 256289)

HEALTH & WELLBEING:

Overall, Tyler is in EXCELLENT health & currently has no ongoing health concerns.

Tyler will require his 3rd puppy vaccination at 16 weeks.
Desexing is to be done prior to Tyler becoming 6 months of age.

Tyler was born with a kink at the end of his tail, this doesn’t affect his health at all, simply making him look even cuter!!

Since Tyler has been in Holly’s care, Tyler has had a thorough Vet health / wellness check.

Tyler is Microchipped, Worm treated & has had his 1st 7 2nd puppy Vaccinations.

Tyler’s Adoption fee is $830.00

Please READ & CONSIDER Tyler’s complete profile carefully BEFORE applying.

*Within the application form it would be appreciated if you detail any previous experience with a puppy & their subsequent training.*

Remember, adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment. Enjoy the puppy breath, the wiggly tail, and the unconditional love your tiny bundle of cuteness will bring into your life! 🐶❤️

🤩TYLER 🤩

Tyler has had a huge day. He had his meet and greet this morning, and farted (oops - passed wind) on everyone after his chicken treats later😷

He met his potential greyhound homie, and they took to each other. Greyhound girl was supercool, and Tyler wasnt fazed by her size. It looks like he has found his fureverr home, but he will be with me for another week. Holly' s followers will.get more details next week.
He then helped with Jet's meet and greet. Now he is having a big sleep, cause all that play and meeting new peeps is tiring!
And yes, he is in a pink bed, but he doesnt discriminate!

P.S He looks big in photos, but he really is knee high to a grasshopper

Soo going to miss these little monkeys, but Mia will be glad to have me to herself for a short while.

Signed Jacqui - foster mum with lots more grey hair now!

Holly’s precious little pup May has headed off to her new furever loving home with her besotted & very lovely new family Sarah, Brendan and girls💜💜

May is one of our beautiful Taffy’s pups, and a grown up 10 weeks old. She is totally absolutely ‘Adogorable’ as you can see! 💙💙
Foster Mum is absolutely delighted with the match. She thinks that May is going to be the girls’ little shadow. Someone will be home most of the time to play and cuddle with May🤪🤪

May was born into Holly’s Rescue care as her mumma was expecting when she came into care from an outback town . Port Augusta Council reached out to Holly’s Rescue to find a foster home for May’s mumma and her son until she was ready for her new home. Mumma Taffy has found her best home and a new life without having to worry about unexpected litters anymore, and puppy May is now enjoying a new life with lots of love and cuddles. Her new family say that it is like she has always been there in their home.

We think May has definitely found her happy furever after!!🥰🥰🥰

TEMPIS

Our darling precious little man TEMPIS is ready to look for his Furever Loving Home!

This darling little gentleman has just turned 12 years old, weighs a healthy 7 kg’s & is a Maltese x Shih Tzu x Cuteness!!

Tempis is a very handsome boy with beautiful white and creamy grey colouring & a little ‘stretch Limo’ ie: long and lean.

PERSONALITY:

Foster Mum says:

Tempis is sweet little man with a beautiful nature!

He is a loving affectionate boy who will bond well with his human(s), and will want to be close to them & especially love being their little shadow.
Tempis is a loving little man whom wants cuddles…

Essentially, he just wants to love and be loved.

AROUND THE HOME:

Tempis is a great little eater, LOVES his beds & likes having 2 or 3 spread around in various rooms thanks…

Tempis is a fit little boy, he is perfectly capable of & will probably insist on climbing up to sit on your lap.

Our precious little man is a good little watch dog without going overboard.

Initially Tempis was very unsure of everything & showed some anxiety when home alone, this is to be expected as his entire world as he knew it had changed…this is easing as he has become comfortable / secure & settled into his routine.
Now he will cry when left alone but does settle after a couple of minutes…
Just be prepared for the over enthusiastic welcome back when you get home!!
Therefore, Tempis would thrive & it is best for HIS overall happiness & wellbeing, to be in a home where at least one of his human(s) are around most of the time, he also may be suitable for people that work from home etc.

A quieter calmer home environment for Tempis is preferred: a busy household with small noisy children, lots of people coming & going, OR his human(s) not having the time or desire to interact with Tempis is not is in his best interest, so will not be considered suitable.

POOCH INTERACTION:

Although Tempis gets on well with other dogs & has been comfortable & happy in foster care with other small pooches.

Foster Mum TOTALLY KNOWS that darling Tempis would much prefer & therefore be happiest, being the ONLY pooch in his home…as that would mean all the cuddles would be for him!!

* Prior to coming into Holly’s Rescue, we were informed that Tempis has lived with 3 cats and he was fine with them. So, a home with a cat may be suitable, however, as Tempis has not been in foster care with a cat whilst in Holly’s Rescue we are unable to confirm this.

WALKS / TRAVEL:

Currently darling Tempis isn’t keen on walking on a lead, seeming to not like a lead & therefore just not interested in going for walks.

We are unsure if Tempis is simply not familiar with walks (& all the fun times that go along with walkies!!) or has had a negative experience?

So possibly with gentle positive reward based training by caring patient human(s) with the time & interest to take him on walks, it may become a positive enjoyable experience for Tempis in his new life.

Tempis travels well in the car.

GROOMING:

Tempis has a lovely thick coat that will require regular grooming.

Tempis is now becoming familiar with, comfortable & starting to enjoy being brushed.

Initially Tempis (for some unknown reason to us), was absolutely paranoid about having his front paws touched. However, with time, patience, gentleness & love by his doting Foater Carer, he is becoming much better.

Brushing is soo good for the overall benefit of any pooch & especially in this cooler weather it can potentially help with their circulation…plus…of course tummy rubs thrown in are also extremely beneficial!!

HEALTH & WELLBEING:
Overall, Tempis is now in very good health.

His only ongoing health issue is that Tempis does have Dry Eye Syndrome, this is resultant from inadequate tear production & is a lifelong condition.

Tempis will require drops twice a day. (The drops can be purchased from a chemist without a script & cost approximately $8 which will last for 2 months).

Since Tempis has been in Holly’s care:

Tempis has had a thorough Vet health / wellness check.

Plus, a very much needed dental where the stoic little man had 16 ‘nasty pasty painful’ teeth removed.

Also, a suspicious lump on his shoulder was removed and thankfully it was not anything to worry about.

A Microchip was implanted.

Tempis is Desexed, Microchipped, C5 vaccinated & worm treated.

Tempis’s adoption fee is $450.00

Please READ & CONSIDER Tempis’s complete profile carefully BEFORE applying.

Then if you think that your home / lifestyle might be suitable:

Holly’s darling little gentleman Ollie has headed off to this new furever loving home with his besotted & very lovely new mum Janine.💜💜

Ollie is an 8-year-old Havanese & totally absolutely ‘Adogorable’ as you can see! 💙💙

Foster mum is really very happy with the match. She thinks that Ollie is going to be Janine’s little social buddy, as Janine mainly works from home, but when she has appointments, Ollie will be able to go with her. 🤪🤪

Ollie came into Holly’s Rescue care as his previous beloved mum has gone into care & her loving family reached out to Holly’s Rescue to find this little pooch his new home.

A HUGE welcome to Miriam and Joe, and their children on taking Henry into their home on trial. Henry had a lovely time getting to know everyone yesterday, and after his initial puppy excitement, he was very polite with everyone.

We had so many wonderful applications for Henry. It is one of THE most difficult responsibilities as a foster carer to choose a home that meets the needs and personality of our pooches. AND, we don't have enough pooches for the amount of applications that we receive.

As foster carers, we LUBS seeing our pooches go into their FUREVER homes, to enjoy lots of loving care. Just look at those HAPPY faces! And Henry even managed to stay clean for his meet and greet.

Hugs and smooches to all pooches 🐶🐶🐶###

Mum Taffy is a Terrier mix, however as May’s father is unknown, May is a crossbreed & will possibly be a delightful mix of different breeds. (It has kept the PAWSOME Veterinary staff guessing at to her lineage!)

She loves her cuddles and puppy kisses, but is a squiggly worm, who hardly stops.
She loves playing with her siblings & tug toys.

Like her brothers, May is bursting with puppy love and playfulness. She doesn’t bark much, but she does cry to let you know she would like some attention.

She is looking for a very active owner committed to regular exercise and obedience training, and would love to meet other puppies at puppy school once she has received all of her vaccinations

She has been living in a household with other dogs, and is confident with them if they are gentle. After all, she is knee high to a grasshopper!
She loves her toys, and eats well. She will need special puppy food until at least 8-12 months old, and will need to go to puppy school obedience classes when she has completed all her vaccinations.

IDEAL HOME:
May would do best with people that have the time, patience, time, (twice) commitment & LOVE to enable her to become the ‘bestest’ pooch that we know she can be!
As May is soo tiny, any children in the home will need to be older (10+) & be very respectful of the puppy’s personal space!
If there is already a dog in the home, we presume / think May would totally love having a pooch playmate as she grows!
Another similar size (smallish) dog, around 6 years or younger would be suitable & it may also be better if the dog is male.
Then they could enjoy playing with a similar energy level & play style so that not only will May have another dog around to enjoy doing ‘pooch stuff’ with, but also to learn from.
Puppies offer many many years of love and companionship if they have the right training, food and loving homes.

Remember, adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment. Enjoy the puppy breath, the wiggly tail, and the unconditional love your tiny bundle of cuteness will bring into your life! 🐶❤️

NOTE:

** As she is younger than 6 months, May will ONLY be adopted to people that are willing to sign a desexing and vaccination contract, this is non-negotiable.

For May’s next 2 puppy vaccinations & desexing, potential people will need to take her to any of our PAWSOME Vets.

HEALTH & WELLBEING:

Overall, May is in EXCELLENT health & currently has no ongoing health concerns.
May will require her 2nd puppy vaccination at 12 weeks & 3rd puppy vaccination at 16 weeks.
Desexing is to be done prior to May becoming 6 months of age.

May has one left side puppy canine that is quite long. If it starts to cause her discomfort, the vet said it can be removed before her adult tooth comes though. Otherwise, to date, she is showing no signs of discomfort
