She had her hernia surgery yesterday at Animal Hospital of Waynesboro and did great! You can still donate to help pay the final bill and thanks to everyone who already donated and made it possible to get her in quickly ❤️🐾

We desperately need food in the Community Pet Food Pantry sponsored by Friends Of SAWAS!

Can you help hungry dogs and cats by dropping off unopened bags or cans of pet food at the shelter or have a Chewy /Amazon delivery shipped?
All types of pet food is needed!

A great day for knowledge sharing was underway today at Harrisonburg Rockingham SPCA . SVASC Shelter Director Jon Hilbert, Operations Director Renee Kershner, Outreach Coordinator Claire Rattan, along with our “Friends Of” board members David Greiner, Pearl Estrada, and Sheri Laubach, embarked on a tour of the HRSPCA with Huck Nawaz to exchange best practices. Ensuring the best outcome for shelter animals is our mission! 🐾❤️

Meet Possum, an adorable little kitten who arrived at the shelter with a severe hernia, causing her great discomfort. This sweet girl urgently needs surgery to alleviate her pain and set her on the path to recovery. Will you join us in giving Possum the medical care she desperately needs? Congratulations to Lady on her acting debut!

Jon Hilbert, Shelter Director; Claire Rattan, Shelter Outreach Coordinator; Sheri Laubach, "Friends of" Treasurer; David Greiner, "Friends of" President, along with many shelter supporters, celebrated Lady's performance at a wonderful reception.
