🚨VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED🚨
Recently, we were contacted by an 80-year-old woman facing a daunting task: caring for 39 guinea pigs, including two newborns barely two weeks old. Despite the distance separating us, she reached out, sharing photos and details of each little creature's age. With swift resolve, we embarked on a mission to secure homes for these furry friends, relying solely on visual cues to convey their living conditions to potential adopters.
As the weekend approached, plans were laid to journey to her location, ensuring safe passage for those promised homes and attending to the immediate needs of the remaining guinea pigs.
However, the night before our scheduled visit, news arrived of FIVE new arrivals, making the new total 44. It was a clear indication of a dire situation, prompting swift action. As we arrived the next day, with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts, we were absolutely gutted at the living conditions. We began to fill our vehicles with as many guinea pigs as space would allow, recognizing the urgency to remove them from that environment. Despite our best efforts, some had to remain behind due to logistical constraints.
The next morning, we returned with renewed determination, dedicating the entire day to evacuate both belongings and the rest of the precious piggies. As of now, we've secured homes or temporary fostering arrangements for approximately 25, while the remaining are under our direct care. The time has come to spread the word about those ready for adoption.
Your support is vital as we continue this compassionate journey. Together, we can ensure these piggies find loving homes where they get the care and love they so desperately deserve.
This was a very sad situation as you could tell that she loved her piggies very much. She just physically could not do it anymore.
More videos in the comments of the living conditions. Please be advised. We are going back for the turkey, chickens, ducks, roosters, and guineafowl soon as we have also found them new homes. Where they can no longer be a "snack for the passing coyotes".
