Hello, I need some tips on bonding with my new hamster. He is around 2 months old and the small breeder I got him from around 2 weeks ago said he was lovey and liked her a lot. I have put my scent in his cage and handle him for 30 minutes a day but he still wants to hide from me. I wait to handle him until night when he is awake as well. I give him plenty of tasty food! He just wants to hide when I’m near and I don’t want to force him to love me lol .

Hola buenas tardes, este pequeñito se llama “güero” tiene un añito 1 mesesito, es de mi novio y por falta de tiempo y espacio ya no lo puede tener, me gustaría que tuviera un hogar grande y alguien responsable para adoptarlo.
Soy de Mexico, específicamente Guadalajara.
Requisitos:
-Ser mayor de edad
-Tener experiencia previa en cuidado de un hámster
-Se necesita foto de INE y datos personales
-Mandar fotos de él mínimo cada mes para ver cómo está

Hola a todos, Canela cruzó el arcoiris de los hámster hoy 😭, después de 2 años con nosotros, tras casi tres meses de su diagnóstico (tumor inoperable), falleció nuestra pequeña 🐹🥺. Agradezco los consejos y el apoyo recibido en el grupo, cuiden a sus peques 💜

So this is dolly on a daily basis and I’m lost at what to do to get her to stop
She’s also stopped eating as much as she was

I first got her 9 days ago she was in a smallish cage with tunnels
On day 5 I upgraded her to a savic plaza
She has hides, bridges, platforms, lots of bedding, enrichment, a sand baths, chew toys but she doesn’t seem bothered by any of it

She’ll come out of an evening and chew on the bars.
She lets me stroke her but will still go to bite my finger
Once I’m in bed I can hear her wheel going

I’m at a loss
She will explore, but then just goes back to climbing the bars and chewing on them

Hi, just want to make sure this is normal as it’s my first Syrian! I only got her on monday (she was rescued and kept in a tiny PAH cage) Yesterday I moved her into a much bigger and better enclosure with lots of room to burrow, she’s usually out around 7/8pm exploring however tonight she’s still in her burrow. Is she just super happy and content with her new cage? She’s all fine but just still sleeping

This is my new guy. Haven't named him yet. We just got him a few days ago. He has the coolest coloring! The silver in his coat is almost blue!

Meet Sagittarius. The 7-month old adorable hamster is up for adoption from the Kelowna SPCA. He's also Global Okanagan's pet-of-the-week. Sagittarius was surrendered to the shelter after fathering 10 hamster babies. Five of the hamster babies were adopted,, five more are still available. Sagittarius is a Syrian hamster, which means he's looking for a home with no other hamsters as they tend to fight. Hamsters are known to be escape artists so Sagittarius would need a cage to live in, a 40 gallon tank would be ideal. He is a very sweet and friendly hamster and hoping to steal your heart.
