A little video just to show how well Ahsoka is doing! So proud of the work that the whole family is putting in, and it's all paying off!

Everyone is very relaxed using the long lead on the grass out the front and even walking past other dogs! What an incredible journey, she has come so far already, and I can't wait to see how far we can go!

Look at how far we have come already! 😊

From being reactive at just spotting another dog from across the street to calmly walking past Stan and even sitting behind him!

Teaching Michelle and her family to be calm and to trust themselves has been a key factor in this desensitization program, and I am so very proud of them all!

There are lots of trainers and behaviourists out there with a very broad range of views on what works best to achieve a well behaved dog!

I always use positive reinforcement techniques. This is because, in my opinion, we want to build a healthy, trusting and loving relationship with our dog at the same time as encouraging the behaviour we want to see!
Using these methods we get the desired result without causing the dog any harm or extra stress that may affect them later on in life!

Why do I love working with Dogs? 🐶

Apart from dogs being incredibly cute and smart, I find them fascinating! Each and every dog has it's own personality and loves spending time out and about with it's owners!

I love the connections we build with our furry friends and I think nothing should get in the way of this. However, when our dog displays a behaviour that we don't like, it can often make us feel embarrassed and left out that we can't go out and socialise our dog or spend as much time with them outside, where they are happy and you can enjoy the lovely scenery! Great for our physical and mental health.

My aim is to ensure each dog that I work with is happy and content in their lives as well as ourselves taking them out! Especially down in Cornwall where we are truly blessed to have such wonderful views.

This little furry friend is Diamond, a chihuahua, who loves chasing other dogs a bit too much! So our aim is to ensure she remains calm around other dogs, so that she can enjoy the freedom as she wants!

This is Keeks! A 15 month old American Pocket Bully!

As a puppy she was unfortunately kept in a rather small apartment and not allowed out at all! So the outside world was a bit scary at first, but eventually became a place with some very exciting things to chase! She is a big sweetie, but if she sees a cat, she becomes a sled dog it seems!

So we are working with her on some impulse control and some lead walking to ensure that the walks can become more enjoyable than being dragged from side to side!

Looking forward to some more sessions and the improvements we can bring!

An absolutely great session with Ashoka this last weekend!

If you have been following our journey with Ashoka, you will know she was a very reactive dog, barking and lunging at everything!
Here in this short clip, you can see how far she has come! Michelle and Ashoka have been working hard and it is certainly paying off! As you can see, she is no longer as reactive and is starting to calm herself around other dogs, which was a very big trigger for her at first, even just the sight of one far away!

Another absolutely incredible session with Ashoka today!

Ahsoka would usually be lunging and barking at any other dog in sight, and here she is calmly sitting within a clear sight of Stan, not batting an eyelid!

Only 4 sessions of work and we have come so far! Can't wait for when Ashoka is feeling more comfortable and can truly enjoy her outside walks! Michelle once again you were brilliant today and should be very proud! 😊

This is Ahsoka relaxing after some anxiety threshold training, she enjoyed the toy a bit too much as you can see the pieces on the floor!

Ahsoka is a 6 year old reactive German Shepherd. She is very nervous around people and other dogs!

My aim here is to make Ahsoka and her owner, Michelle, a lot more confident in themselves so they can play and walk without being in fear of Ahsoka biting anyone!
