The Mountain Top Litter is 6 months old today! I am grateful to River Crest Shilohs Maverick / Stardust Shiloh Shepherds Gavia that helped us to produce 5 wonderful pups.

Our keeper Smoky is growing like a w**d although a bit gangly right now 😄

Okay, Bob and I watched Christi Yonavick Ridgewood Shiloh Shepherds how to "glue ears" video about 10 times - Voila! Smoky was NOT as calm as the dog in Christi's video, but we think it turned out okay. Hard to believe there is only 24 hours between the pics.

Our Mountain Top Litter - #5....oops...forgot to share Orange boy - Smoky is our keeper! And we are keeping Smoky as his call name. He is a very good boy and kind of a big guy at 37 pounds. 🤪.
The ears are not cooperating; but hopefully he will follow his siblings soon. He loves Auntie Andorra; she is tolerating him at this point. He and Mama Gavia are non-stop play buddies. LOVE me some Smokes, Holy Smokes, Smokers...seem to be emerging as nicknames.
We ended up putting him in the Southern Classic shows a few weeks ago. We think he did pretty good for his first time, especially since I was handling him. 😊

Departure #4 for the Mountain Top Litter. We were lucky to get to spend a few extra days with this special girl - Miss Pink/Roan (now Layla)! She was the only girl and actually a little Gavia "mini me" 😀

This wonderful family drove all the way from Boston. The first time she saw Bob she ran right up to him waging her tail and gave him kisses! Yep, made me super weepy!! And Layla was equally excited to get in Paula's arms. Not sure which is going to spoil her more.

Departure #3 from the Mountain Top Litter; Mr. Purple-Pignut (now COSMO). It was hard to say goodbye to each one; but this is one special sweet boy. He is joining this wonderful family (along with a few other furries) in GA and is going to be spoiled! Weepy...

And the next to leave from the Mountain Top Litter; Mr. Blue Stripe - Skyuka (now HANK). He is one lucky boy to go home with this super family in MD with lots of property to play and run! Such a handsome guy with those sugar toes. And yes, weepy again.

The first of the Blue Ridge Mountain Shilohs Mountain Top Litter to leave the nest. So happy for Mr. Green-Little Chestnut (now AUDY) to be going home with this lovey lady! Yes, I got a little weepy. But this boy is going to be right at home in FL with two other Shilohs! Can't wait to see this guy grow. 💚

Mountain Top Litter turned 7 weeks old! They had a busy schedule last week with their first car ride, vet visit, and LER (many many thanks to Terrie Quinn Dwyer with River Crest Shilohs for coming all the way from KY to spend a few days with us)!

Blue Ridge Mountain Shiloh's Mountain Top Litter had a new adventure today! First time outside on the patio with Mama Gavia and Auntie Andorra. And we added a small pen upstairs so the gang can have "happy hour" with us.

It's MOVING DAY for Blue Ridge Mountain Shiloh's Mountain Top Litter. The pups were growing out of their whelping box and play pen. So, we moved to a different room with a larger pen! They were not sure at first, but settled in nicely.

Blue Ridge Mountain Top Litter - 4 Weeks old! Next time, start with a bigger bed!!
This week brought a few changes - started puppy gruel, introduced a small litter box. A few seemed to think the litter box and the feeding mat made for a good napping spot! Although one of the pups gave the litter box a try right away😄

Blue Ridge Mountain Shiloh - Mountain Top Litter.

SMOKY (orange boy); of course named for The Great Smoky Mountains in TN/NC, and yes, his orange collar is a shout out to the Univ. of TN Volunteers/Smoky the mascot. ROAN (pink girl), Roan Mountain in TN/NC with beautiful pink Rhododendron. SKYUKA (blue stripe boy) is a popular mountain/climb in NC for local cyclists with grades in excess of 15%. LITTLE CHESTNUT (green boy) in the high country of NC close to Grand Father mountain, we said first boy out would be little chestnut. 😂 PIGNUT (purple boy) located in VA within the beautiful Shenandoah national park and just too cute of a name. 😊

Our inaugural litter (GAVIA-Stardust's Mystic Mountain Majesty & Magnificent MAVERICK of River Crest) arrived on Feb. 8th - 4 boys and 1 girl!

We were so thankful and blessed to have Rhonda Van Emon Brick Chapel Shilohs as the Master Whelper! ❤️

Gavia/Maverick confirmed! Not a great ultrasound picture, but puppies on board - X-ray on Jan. 29th will tell us how many. Litter anticipated on Feb. 7.
