Got a call about this handsome boy after being rescued from a hoarding situation, he was a bit of a fearful biter. He is so incredibly lucky to have been adopted by a family that has been committed to teaching him confidence and a working vocabulary. He has come such a long way, his parents received a lot of praise from the vet staff at Noah’s Ark during his last appointment. Good Boy, Otis!! Great work, handlers! Zoey, his sister, has also really benefited from training as far as calming down, barking less, increasing her duration of focus and being patient when she’s not getting attention. Very awesome session today.
Lucy, practicing recalls! She’s got some wheels

Learning to hold place for longer durations with Tabby!
Peach sent in her homework! Place and self control around food 😂 love it!
Maggie demonstrating her new down command! 2 big takeaways from this video: 1- you shouldn’t have to bend down with a treat to get your dog to lay down. 2- the command voice may sound “mean” to you but notice that tail? Shes happy as a clam she understands her mom is giving her instructions! Great work, Maggie!
Daisy demonstrating control around food! ✨ fantastic job
Finnegan demonstrating control through doorways ✨ great work !

Highly support all of these brands! This is Bea’s once a day meal based on her activity level, high protein treats (Saint Rocco’s) throughout the day and her healthy weight range. This is what works for her 💕 the only time we go to the vet is for her yearly check ups. Rehydrate that food for 5-10minutes! Work, eat, nap! #Solutions #UltaOil #goatsmilk #rawfeeding #fromm #SaintRocccos #dogdiet #retriever
Millie (aka Stinkie) learning to try new things with her new handlers.
Millie wanted NOTHING to do with the place board when it first came in. 30minutes later she was sitting on it 👏🏻
Nervous dogs require smaller steps towards their goals.
Go near the board ✅
Put front paws on the board ✅
Put back paws on the board ✅
Sit on the board ✅
Create duration on the board ✅
Example? Vet scales, grooming tables, stairs, cars, park benches… your dog has no clue what these things are and if they will hurt them… trust takes time to build but it’s always worth it!

Meet Buddy!
Buddy is a 1 year old Great Dane/Lab mix. He is 75 pounds of pure goofball. This poor guy was found in Texas, tied to a tree with cigarette burns all over his face. He was brought to Maryland through a rescue and is currently staying with a foster mom who has graciously started training him to be the perfect gentleman. He came to her a few weeks ago with no impulse control, no crate training, no leash training, no working vocabulary and not yet house broken. Since then he has learned to stay calm in the crate, go potty first thing when outside, waits to be released to eat, commands: Recall(comes back when called immediately), Sit, Stay, Place, Out(stop) and is working on With me(follow on leash).
His training need to be continued. Because of his past he does get easily overstimulated and has to be carefully handled/understood. He needs to be placed with someone who has previous experience with training large breeds. He is strong willed but capable of learning if we are taking small steps everyday. His foster mom wants to find someone with a bigger home and more time to work with him during the day.
Good with:
Other dogs- yes
Kids- No (easily overstimulated but working on it)
Cats- Not sure
More information will be provided to those who set up meet and greets. Call or Text 1-443-924-7967 if interested in meeting him. He comes with 2 free private lessons! We would like him to stay in Maryland so we can keep tabs on his progress.
Please please spread the word so we can find the perfect home for this sweet boy.
Thank you!

Bentleys Buddies Dog Training
Your dogs have fantastic ears. They hear the commands you’ve taught them, they are wondering if they ALWAYS have to listen. The answer is yes, we are going to ask once then we are going to make it happen. Working on Recall at class tonight- by the 3rd attempt Penny realizes she doesn’t want to feel that leash pressure so she will come back to her handler on her own. Practice makes perfect! #obediencetraining #dogtraining #dogtrainingtips #recall #groupclass
Sniff time is earned, gotta make sure they are still listening. Working with Bea Bean on our day off 🐾 #longline #sniffwalk #obedience
Buddy!
The first time I met Buddy he greeted us with lots of jumps and mouthing. He had no idea how to handle his excitement- this is the end of his first lesson.
The reason I teach my clients “out” “here” “sit” “stay” at the first lesson is because it’s going to be the routine for most events in their life. This is his handler teaching him the new routine for greeting guests. Great work !
The day you don’t need to use any leash pressure to get what you want, the routine is set.
Just a reminder that your dog LOVES instructions
Taking time to speak dog is equivalent to learning another language. I’m so proud of my clients! #puppytraining #puppylove #supermom
