REBA (A420681)
She has a treatable doggy cold, and space is limited. Can u temp foster to save a life? contact [email protected]

Meet our beautiful girl Reba. She’s a 4 year old, Great Dane. She is spayed and weighs 125 pounds. She is heartworm positive but please don't let that stop you from adopting as heartworms are treatable and not contagious. Reba is an owner surrender as the owner can no longer take care of her. They said she doesn't care for cats, and kids are unknown as they apparently had none. Reba may need to be an only dog; and as always we recommend meet and greets with your pets. Reba will need a secure yard preferably with a wooden fence and/or she should not be left unattended while alone outside.
Reba mostly lounges on her bed. It is her safe spot. I have noticed she will occasionally lay at her kennel door. She is a bit overwhelmed to be in the loud shelter with all the unfamiliar faces and surrounded by noisy dogs barking.
She can be shy with new people but once she gets to know you she relaxes and welcomes your pets. Reba's kennel is her safe place. She welcomed me into her space. She was initially shy but after a little bit she warmed up. She welcomed pets and let me rub her back softly.
Reba has good leash manners. She walked right along beside us as we walked out to the yard. She is easy to walk and handle. She strolled around the yard some to stretch her legs and take care of her business. She was attentive to the sights, sounds, and smells. She sat when asked to do so and she took treats gently.
Reba is a sweet girl in an overwhelming environment. She would like to have a home where she can be a loved and welcome furry family member.
Reba may need a little extra time to warm up so please go slowly and be patient. She's ready for a fresh start and a new family to share her life and love with. Our shelter is full and Reba needs you!
Reba is at Cumberland county Animal Services. Fayetteville, NC 910-321-6852

We would like to give a shout-out to The Way Home Rescue Alliance for accepting Hudson! He's on his way to find a loving, forever home! It's hard to house dogs as big as he is at an animal shelter, so we are very thankful to find a rescue so quickly! Happy trails, Hudson, you are in good hands! We appreciate Maureen, too, who is transporting him! 🐾💗🐾
