This is Bubba, this big handsome boy is 10 years old and diabetic. Bubba needs a new home because his owner can no longer care for him and the other cats in his house bully him. He takes his insulin like a champ but do you know that diabetes in cats can be controlled by diet as well? This hunk is Russell and he's a true rags to riches kitty. He's had a rollercoaster ride of a life but is ready to be the pampered king in your life. He's an absolute sweetheart who just wants to be wherever his human is.

Russell is good with other cats and kids, but unknown with dogs. He would likely be OK with dogs as long as they're respectful of cats.

Russell is estimated to be 10 years old, he's fully vetted and ready to go. He is FIV+ and diabetic, but don't let that scare you away. Cats with FIV can live perfectly healthy, normal lives and his diabetes has been completely controlled by diet and no insulin. See Less

Celebrating Baltimore’s Vintage Cats!

For more than a decade, the volunteers of the Feline Rescue Association have worked to improve the lives of the homeless cats of Baltimore, from fostering and finding forever homes for cats in need to feeding and caring for feral cat communities. We have created this page to highlight perhaps the most at risk population among Baltimore’s homeless cats, the seniors, or as we like to call them vintage cats.

We hope to raise awareness for what a wonderful addition a senior cat can be to a home and family, dispel some of the misconceptions regarding the care of a senior pet, and highlight some of the special vintage cats in our foster program who are looking for a forever home.

We also invite you to share photos and stories of your own senior pets!

Most importantly, we want to celebrate the unique and special spirits of Baltimore’s Vintage Cats!
