⚠️📌We have several people's messages asking for double dapples. Some people just don’t know, others just don’t care. We DO NOT breed double dapples here. I was asked what the big deal was if he wanted a double dapple. Well, this is the big deal. We never want to encourage/support anyone to breed for this. We took in 3 a couple of months ago when their mom could no longer care for them. They all had some type of issues. This girl here has a small eye(which she can see out of the top of), blind in the other eye, and Deaf. Dapple is a dominant gene. Anywhere the dapple gene hits twice there is a problem. Just luck of the draw or unlucky draw I guess. They are also more prone to certain types of cataracts that are not able to be operated on. This girl is an example of why I hate so much that our rescue efforts have to be put on hold right now. She needs love and a special family, which she found yesterday. Thank you Cricket and Michael Lock for giving this sweet girl a great shot at life. Her name is Libby. We will always be here for Miss Libby and so excited to see her new adventures! This can absolutely be prevented. Please know your dog’s genetics before breeding. Dapple can be tested for. It is a simple mouth swab. Never guess, dapple can be hidden. Always test to be certain! Why are our puppies so expensive? All parents are tested for a lot more than dapple. We also use $ from every litter to help other doggies in need. We guarantee our littles and are always here for them. It doesn’t matter if they are a rescue or born here. They always have a place here! Please don’t support this type of breeding.
