Maybe my only solace is to write a book about my father, so much true (I swear), but even so much more is a way to live and let go without feeling so much passion as I do tonight, for when that eve finally arrives, I will finally lay down to sleep with them again forever. Remember, this is a story of 2 Very, Very POOR Irish men, 1 father and 1 son: Both swore to stick together to the end: He is sitting bull and I am running bull and we are forever racists in our country for YMCA Y-Indian guides and now my countrymen want my pound of flesh (Shakespeare) just for being born to loving parents who just wanted me to fly and have a chance. How can I even breathe in the reality. I felt so bad for Mark Zukerberg in front of congress. Not because I don't feel for the families and their loss, on the contrary. I felt bad and even for that rich man because I could feel his hurt and SQUIRM (God knows I have been feeling that same squirm lately) as the entire world wants someone to blame but for our own foolish selves and lives. How anyone survive? It may not be for you, but for me, I hear trumpets all the time. I want to play Tchaikovsky and crank the cannons! And here is truly why I cry. I have never wanted to crank the cannons for the reasons I want to today!

I am truly burdened and freed by the exact same chains.

How can I help save the world under this pressure... Now do you feel the FIRE in the FURNACE!!!!

Today is rainy and cloudy in the Dallas-Fort Worh area. While watching Lucky (...who is a Pudel in German from the word pudeln meaning to "Splash About"), I saw all the work and effort I put into his bright whites and shinny blues and silvers turn muddy and dirty!
All 4 of his legs (almost to the elboys in the front and high splashes on the inside of his hips) led me to say to myself , "This is Poodle Life!"

Lucky, is a field (retriever) dog 1st (both of us love birds) and way down the list is show dog, so when it rains, I can't expect him not to be happy, have fun and yes, get dirty!

So, I posted these pictures of his Dirty Feet, in reverse, so to see how dirty his feet got earlier today, you will have to look at the end of the included pictures.

Follow Lucky Lad on our journey to our 1st UKC Show. So far, we have been learning how to bathe, force dry, and slciker brush to promote hair growth and prevent matting.

Besides bath related practice sessions (weekly baths 🛁), I started learning how to use my new Wahl Bravura (5 in 1) clipper. I started by learning how to do his feet and belly. We trimmed his nails since they were long and finished with a dremel.

Once I had that basic idea of how to use my Bravura clippers, I asked a mentor to set clipping lines that I have been using to practice on the face & neck, and tail ring.

If that wan't enough, I have been taking show lessions at a local dog training facility. We will have 3 show lessons under our belts before our 1st show.

The day before we go and setup for the show, our regular professional groomer will give Lucky his show cut (scissors)! We know that Lucky's hair length is too short for a show, but we have to start somewhere.
