💟 Reposted from 💟 Lucy is still searching for her forever home! She is a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog/Labrador Retriever mix. She joined us in 2021 as a puppy but is unfortunately looking for a new home again. Lucy is a sweet, loyal, and loving girl. She was pretty insecure when she rejoined us, but professional training helped her gain the confidence to be the best pup she can be! Lucy can still be timid when meeting new people, but it only takes a few minutes to win her over. She is great with other dogs and loves the young human boy in her foster home. She is a big fan of play time, especially with other pups. She is also a great walking partner with good leash manners. Lucy knows “sit”, “lay down”, and “place”. She is potty trained and kennel trained. Lucy is available for adoption!

Reposted from The Top Gun Litter turned 13 weeks old yesterday! We finally received their DNA results, which show that they are American Pit Bull Terrier/Rottweiler/Chow Chow/German Shepherd mixes expected to be medium-large when full grown. The puppies have gotten into the groove of things in their foster homes. They are incredibly close to sleeping through the night and nailing down potty training. They all know “sit”, and a few are working on some more advanced tricks. Goose is loving and playful, Charlie is social and sweet, Maverick is cuddly and the best companion, Hondo is confident and inquisitive, and Phoenix is mellow and affectionate. Only 4/9 of the Top Gun puppies are still available for adoption!

Reposted from 💟 Pascal’s freckled ears are irresistible! He is a 4 month old American Pit Bull Terrier/Pembroke Welsh Corgi/Border Collie mix expected to be medium-large when full grown. He is one of the last 4 available puppies of the P Litter who joined us after their mom, Poppie, was found in a rural area with 9 newborn puppies. Pascal has the sweetest demeanor. He is happy to greet anyone new, including kids, cats, and other dogs. He has mastered the perfect balance of puppy play followed by a long nap. He is kennel trained and potty trained. Pascal is available for adoption!

He is a 14 week old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix. At the beginning of the month, we held a low-cost spay and neuter clinic. One man brought a litter of puppies with him and mentioned that he was trying to give them away. With the help of 3 awesome foster families, we welcomed Tux and his sisters, Dahlia and Dixie, to Rescue Row! The puppies were living under a car right next to a busy road, so we are so thankful that we were able to get all of them out of there. Tux joined us as a reserved pup, but his foster family has already helped build up his confidence! He is still a bit shy when meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long to win him over. His foster mom says that he loves to play chase and tug-of-war with her personal dog. He also enjoys cuddling and taking naps. Tux is doing fantastic with potty training and sleeps all night in his kennel. He has also been working on basic commands such as “sit” and “off”. His foster mom says that he aims to please and will be a great companion for a lucky family. Tux is available for adoption!

This is Maggie! She is a 4 year old American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. She joined an animal shelter as a pregnant stray who was ready to pop. In July of 2022, after joining our care, she gave birth to the M Litter who have all since been adopted. Now, Maggie is ready to find her forever home! She absolutely loves all people, including kids, and doesn’t know a stranger. If you are willing to give her a belly rub, she will love you forever! She also enjoys accompanying her people on any adventure, whether it is a car ride, snuggling on the couch, or playing with toys. She is good with other dogs, although she is a bit awkward when interacting with them. It seems as though she never picked up proper doggy social queues, but she loves other pups nevertheless! She would do well as an only dog or with another carefree dog who won’t get mad at her for misunderstanding body language. She is potty trained, kennel trained, and leash trained. Maggie is available for adoption!

We would like to re-introduce you to one of our long-timers, Terry! He is a 4 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing 50lbs. He has been in his foster home for over 3 years, putting him as our second longest resident. Terry was rescued in July of 2020 after evading capture for a year. He had been on the streets since he was a puppy and would visit a maintenance shop every day for scraps of food. A group of animal advocates worked to save him, and from there, he became a member of RR! When he joined us, he had to have his front left Ulna bone removed due to an old injury, likely from being hit by a car. He is now fully healed and has full mobility on all 4 legs. Black Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes are notoriously some of the hardest dogs to find forever homes for, but we know that Terry’s forever home is out there somewhere. His foster mom says that he is a very silly and loving boy. He can be a bit shy at first, especially around men, but a little bit of patience reveals a dog who wants nothing more than to be your best friend! He is great with other dogs and loves the young boy in his foster home. He loves to snuggle in bed with his foster mom, chase a ball, chew on bones, and play with the other dogs in the home. He is potty trained, kennel trained, and walks well on a leash. We are rooting for Terry to find a forever home and know that a family is out there waiting for him. Terry is currently available for adoption!

This is Willa! She is a 13 year old Shih-Tzu mix weighing almost 14lbs. She is a special needs girl who is both blind and deaf. Willa joined care after one of their board members saw her posted on a Fort Worth shelter’s page. She had been found as a stray, and no one came to claim her. Her condition was one of the worst they’ve seen in a long time. Willa had bilateral ear infections, a bacterial skin infection, and horribly rotted teeth (swipe for before photos). She was also matted and dirty, and the only function her eyes were serving was to cause pain. Willa had both of her eyes removed as well as 4 of her teeth. When she joined them, she was scared and in pain, and it broke their hearts to see her like that. Her foster mom took things slow, using a gentle touch and yummy treats to win her over. Now that Willa knows she is safe, she is her foster mom’s best buddy! She is quiet, gentle, and affectionate. She loves getting attention, sunbathing outside, and napping all day long. Willa is good with cats and other dogs. Due to her disabilities, she will need a forever home as an only dog or with other calm animals in the home. She is potty trained, great in the car, and her foster mom trusts her alone in the house while she’s gone. Willa is available for adoption!

Marcia’s looks are as enchanting as her demeanor! She’s a 7.5 month old American Pit Bull Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. She joined with her siblings, The Brady Bunch, when she was only 3 weeks old. After she battled Distemper (and won), she began searching for her forever home. That search has taken a bit longer than we thought it would! Besides her piercing blue eyes, the first think you’ll notice about Marcia is that she is probably on her back - begging for a belly rub. Her foster mom says that she loves to be loved, no matter who you are. Marcia is great with absolutely everyone she meets, canine or human. She loves playing with other dogs or splashing around in a kiddie pool to beat the Texas summer heat. She has the smarts and the sweets that make her the most awesome puppy. She is kennel trained and potty trained, and she has worked with one of our trainers on her leash manners. Marcia is currently available for adoption!
