Bubba, the lost Pug is home!!!!!
His mom went to great lengths to find her little fellow. She’s a great example for anyone with a lost pet. Drones, live traps, flyers, feet on the ground, posting, sharing, checking repeatedly at shelters. So happy for Bubba and his family!!!
Thank goodness Blackberry season is rounding down! Herding Pugs away from the berry patch is like wrangling a school of squid! You all MUST have pics of your produce pilfering Pugs! Share them so we can commiserate.😜

“Last seen (6/18) around 2pm, she broke through her barrier and ran somewhere. We have been reaching out to anyone and everyone in case she is found and surrendered. She is a black, 8 yr old pug. We live in Avon Lake and she has not been seen since she was outside. Please reach out if you find any pugs fitting this description. She had her Petsafe collar on only, and is not microchipped.”

Today, on this last day of 2023, we would like to convey our deepest gratitude for all of our adopters and supporters. You all show up to support us at events, donate when we get some hard cases, adopt and incorporate these furry souls into your packs, and share our Pug posts far and wide! We love getting the updates from you on how your new family members are faring. We love seeing you bring them out to events. You all are the tracks upon which this train keeps rolling. Here’s to you all and a grand 2024!
Today we want to send our gratitude out to all the Ohio Pug Rescue foster moms and dads, volunteers and transporters. OPR doesn’t exist without you! You hold those Pugs close and keep them safe until they are ready to fly off to their forever families. You intro them gently into your Pug packs. You chauffeur them from shelters, to vet visits, to events and everywhere in between. You volunteer for events to help gather the necessary funds to get them medical care. You make the calls. You manage the vet bills. You keep our website clicking along. You all give freely of one thing so hard to come by these days…time. We love you guys and we thank you for all you do for the Pugs!
Children in foster families give so much of themselves knowing these Pugs will be moving on to another forever home. These two were found freezing and very hungry, in a half shed on a very cold night. A little food, warmth and love can heal so much. We salute our foster family’s children and grandchildren as we wind down 2023!

Ohio Pug Rescue’s foster families have children pouring love into these lost and lonely Pugs. Two Pugs found freezing in a half shed open to the winds were warming up in the love and warmth of a child.
