Watch out Adders are about!
Adders are the only venomous snakes in the UK and are often out in the sun on the sand dunes at this time of year.
Adder bites can be fatal in dogs if left untreated, symptoms to look out for are:
Severe swelling around the site of the wound
Pain, such as limping or holding up a leg
Bleeding or bruising
Inflammation from the spread of venom
Increased heart rate or quickened breathing
Drooling
Vomiting
Lethargy or general weakness
If you suspect your dog has been bitten by an adder phone your Vet for advice 🐍
Imagine if we did this! 🤔😂

Meet Nadia 👋
Jackie was recently approached by BradyCare to assist Dr Ursula over in Denmark, filming educational content for their learning platform! (More to come on this soon 🙌)
Whilst she was there, Jackie wanted to get a fresh perspective of what is it's like working as an RV from a different country, seeing if they face the same challenges as other nurses around the world 🌍
Nadia was helping Dr Ursula around the practise while assisting Jac with theatre prep. They only had a short time to speak as Nadia was so busy, but managed to fit in a quick chat between patients.
Here's what she had to say...
It's not all work! It's plant based, vegan homemade food too ! 🪴

And they will still ask us where the stethoscope is 🙄😂🩺
Dog walks and waterfalls ... exploring with the dogs is the best way to spend the day 💗 anyone else been exploring lately?
When you're a VN and asked to foster some puppies... how do you say no!
I forgot they are peeing and pooing machines 🤦🏻♀️

It's not all bad being a street dog! 🐾
Street dogs, though facing challenges, find a silver lining in their freedom and resourcefulness. Their open-air existence allows for social interactions and a sense of community, showcasing adaptability and resilience. Some receive care from compassionate locals.
While not without difficulties, Street dogs often prefer an independent life, this independence fosters a sense of self-reliance, as they adapt to their surroundings and form social bonds on their terms. 🐾
A video of a dog showing signs of distemper. Dogs with distemper often exhibit a range of symptoms, including nasal discharge, coughing, lethargy, and in more severe cases, neurological signs such as seizures. Distemper is a highly contagious viral disease that affects a dog's respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems, it is a reminder of the importance of vaccinations to prevent the spread of this illness among our canine companions. 💉🐾
Look at these happy street dogs!
@pjbehaviour is here to observe the natural behaviour of street dogs for a research project and record the dogs at feeding time with the amazing @dogstarfoundation
