Sharing the cuteness! Tummy rubs will start their little moters going. Gus Gus and Milo discovered humans are quite comfy for nap times. Meeko gets the zoomies and will run through the hall and living room. When she is done, she calls her kitties for meal time.

The kitties are changing daily. We have brought them out to the main living space to play. So man things to check out! It is beyond adorable when they decide a nap is needed. Meeko talks to them all the time and is never too far away. She sits next to me while I am working to keep an eye on the little ones. We are back to puree food for some of her feedings. The kitties have an easier time joining in on the feast. Our dogs can hang out with us, though Dutchess is always ready to steal kitty food if she can get away with it. Never a dull moment. :)

Cuteness overload is in full force. They are checking things out and climbing to new heights as much as possible. They get excited when you stop by to pet. They gave kitten pate a taste and decided it was not too bad. Meeko appreciated the break. Litter pan training is in progress. I have no doubt they will have it mastered soon. 4+ weeks until they will be ready for their fur-ever home.

The kitties past 4 weeks on Monday and all have reach over a pound for their weight!

They hiss every time you come into their space, but will be right next to you as soon as you sit down.

I was able to get some pictures where they were still long enough to not be a blur. Names have been decided. Maybe. Mira was originally Misha, but there is a puppy that has that name already...

Meeko is eating everything. I have no idea where she puts it considering how small she is. She will consume 8+ cans a day and will gladly snack on human food if you are not paying attention. She tries to be patient when I do not get up right away at her 6 AM meow time. Keep in mind that I fed her at 2:20 and 4 AM when I woke up... Apparently, those do not count at 6 AM Meow time.

Why is this a cool picture? My niece stopped by from out of state and she wanted to see the kitties. She has her own pup at home, so it was awesome to see Meeko snuggled up within minutes to her and watched as her babies climbed around. She is the sweetest cat! She loves scratching posts, body massages, and to be near her human. She is going to make her fur-ever home family very happy! They just need to wait a little longer as her babies grow. ❤️ 💙 💜

The kitties are 3 weeks old today!
Meeko is choosing to lay out in open since the corner is getting quite crowded. They weighed about 3 oz back then and now are around 13 oz. Meeko is kept busy for sure! She does take her breaks and will adventure around the house. She even convinced the grumpy cat to play. ❤️ 💙 💜

This morning, I was snuggled up with my pillow... then I felt paws on my leg... soon Meeko's head pops up and rests on my arm while she rested on my side. It was adorable! It was also the calm before the storm. The meow alarm started a few minutes later. Breakfast needed to be served! She has 4 hungry mouthes to feed! Chop! Chop! She is hungry all the time and gets fed several times a day. I have no idea where she puts it! Maybe she has an agreement with our dog to get extra treats...

The kittens are almost 3 weeks old and are over 11 oz. They will adventure out of the corner for a bit when one of us lays down to check them out. It is adorable when they are caught off guard and do their little hiss that has nothing to back it up. :) I have no doubt they will be running the house very soon.

The kitties are 15 days old with their eyes wide open. Prince decided to go for a walk-about to try to convince Meeko it was time for second breakfast. Meeko is feeling comfortable enough to wander the house. She is able to jump the baby gate to see what is happening comfortably. The gate open when we are in the living room, otherwise, we keep it closed to prevent the house pets eating the extra food or bothering the kitties. The kitties love pets and snuggles, but are not exactly ok with heights if you are standing up with them. I did not get a clear picture of Mira's face to post today.

I am also happy to report Meeko likes to eat with the other cats and does not require the puree when fed out there. The baby bullet is no longer needed for now. :)

I believe there is a network among cats on 'how to train your human.' It starts with consuming every crumb they feed you along with daily biscuits sessions. Then, the switch is flipped to where nothing served is good. Your human will try many options to figure out what works. After a short time, award your humans effort for a new idea to make them feel better. Continue with daily biscuits. Make sure you wake them at 3 AM and 6 AM for your expected meals. Then, say no to what is served until they figure out what you really like. They have completed their training when they get it right!

Joking aside, Meeko has done very well. She is getting used to the dogs, though they have not smothered her yet with doggie kisses. The cats are working out on the territory balance in the living room.

Food wise, something was not agreeing with her. I believe the evil source (beef and carrots) has been eradicated from the menu. She has kibble available and we will avoid fish and salmon for a while.

They all have eyes open!!! It is interesting trying to get pictures with them awake and yet hold still long enough for a picture! Queen Meeko did not complain that we were handling them. Moving in the right direction. Meeko is still picky on eating. I found a baby bullet on Market Place that works perfectly to puree pate. Gravy lovers or chunky food does not work as well. It is worth the extra step to get the nutrients in her to support the little furballs. Current weigh in is over 8 oz across the board! Way to go, Meeko!

Look who decided to hang out with us tonight! Meeko wanted to check out the kitten tree we have in the corner to scope out the house. I am not sure why her markings reminds me of a mouse. :) She usually just hangs by the gate in the hall. Hard to believe how much has changed in a week! The kittens were able to settle down while petting after their weight checks this morning. Mama Cat did not feel like her kitten needed to be rescued. That is progress!!! Looking forward to their eyes opening up and see them grow every day.

Day 6 of having little kittens in the house. We had to move the kitty tent from the bathroom to the bedroom on Thursday night. Queen Meeko decided that was not ok and found the perfect corner in the closet. It makes sense! Why stay in a tent with a padded floor and heating pad when you can have a secluded corner by some hiking boots instead! I attempted to reason with her but lost. :) The kittens are growing and we need to pick some names for the gray and white kitties. Meeko does hang with me again as she did before the kittens were born. We made 12 dozen biscuits around 5 AM this morning The rest of the baking at 7. :) Forgive the slightly fuzzy faces. They like to move it, move it until they are in their arranged kitten pile. It does appear some eyes are close to opening! Missing one sweet face.

Kitten pile! So far, the last 2 days have went well. Queen Meeko is eating better and taking her meds. Kittens are growing. I may mention something about 4 blind mice since they are all gray and white. :) I needed to get pictures of their markings on their back to know which one I was tracking. If they cry too loud during weight checks, mama is by my side in an instant! Must weigh faster! Names are coming soon.

Queen Meeko woke me up early this morning to tell me something was up. It was kitten time! After a few hours, things did not look right. The MARS team came to the rescue when it was determined she needed medical help. It is a humbling experience to have 4 people come in on their day off to help an animal in your care. Not to mention my awesome neighbors that allowed me to borrow their car so I could get her to the vet (one car in the shop and eveyone else was at work or out of town). I am happy to say we are home with Meeko and her 4 babies! I will be posting more pictures soon after they have had some time to recover.

Queen Meeko is doing better. We found some kitten food she will eat- only from a clean dish. There was a piece left over from last night and she turned away. I had to change the dish for it to acceptable. Biscuit making started again as well. Despite the Diva attitude, she is very sweet. :) This is her napping place during the day.

Did you know... a vaccine shot has very similar symptoms as the beginning stage of labor? It also adds to the fun when the vet tech says she is ready to pop any day now. Meeko had her second shot that needed to receive in a specific window of time, otherwise she would have to start the 2 shot series over. She was quiet for the whole trip. Then, 2 hrs later, we heard her 'I am not happy with anything' meow for a few hours. It was the first time she tried to find a new place to hide while she paced around. All food presented must be buried while demand for different food as well. We finally settled down. Hopefully no additional side effects will bother her so she can rest and maybe eat the food instead of burying it. I will arrange a few more options for her to hide, but yet reachable, tomorrow. Meeko decided she would hang with me and relax. :) Her tummy is growing and once in a while you can feel little kicks. Mama does not as much space for food, so kitty gravy toppers help keep her interested while she takes her time to finish. The pups were calm today and hung out with her in my office. It is amazes me that she stays out in the open when there has been so much change in her world.
