We regret that we were unable to go live during our meeting, despite having a small attendance. However, we will be going live in our next meeting. We will be holding a drawing for a donated $25 gift card at the next meeting, but attendance for the entire meeting is required to be eligible to win. The drawing will take place at the end of the September meeting.

We are currently fostering three adoptable puppies with no adoption fee. They have received their first shots, flea and tick treatment, and worming. The vet believes they are a Labrador-Mountain Cur mix and they have natural bobbed tails. Please reach out if you're interested and share with others who may be interested.

Deep Fried Marshmallows

Ingredients:

Jumbo Marshmallows: 20 pieces
Pancake Mix: 1 cup
Large Egg: 1 egg
Milk: ¾ cup
Vegetable Oil: Enough for deep frying, approximately 2 to 3 cups (depending on the size of your pot)
Whipped Cream (for serving): Optional, to taste
Chocolate Syrup (for serving): Optional, to taste
Sprinkles (for serving): Optional, to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the Oil: Heat about 3 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare the Batter: In a bowl, mix the pancake mix, egg, milk, and a bit of oil until smooth.
Coat Marshmallows: Dip each marshmallow into the batter, ensuring it’s evenly coated, then gently shake off any excess.
Fry Marshmallows: Place the coated marshmallows in the hot oil. Fry for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
Drain and Serve: Remove the marshmallows with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels, and top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles while still warm.

We want to reiterate, we are a Shelter IN THE MAKING. This means we do not have a facility, we do not have any means of picking up animals. If you find a dog, puppies, etc. Please take them and foster them and try to adopt them out. It is not that we don't care, but again we have NO way to pick them, no place to keep them, etc. Thanks for your understanding. We need land, money to but the land, a building, money to build it. We are working on getting legal so that we can begin having fundraisers, etc.

Look at this sweet face...I'm a rescue. I was being picked on by my furfriends in the kennel. For some reason, I think I was better looking than them. I'm a sweet furbaby and looking for my furever home. Everyone says I'm a Chi we**ie. My ears are big, so I hear good. My eyes are pretty so I see good. I will be good for anyone that takes me. I am not fixed, have had 1 shot out of 5. You can get me Neutered at the Annville Clinic for $50 if you make an appointment soon. They are having a special in May.
