ಆನೆ ಗಳು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ಆಹಾರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಹೇಗೆ ಆನೆಗಳು ಆಹಾರ

ಸೇವಿಸಿ ವಿಸರ್ಜನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಗಣಿ ಇಂದ "ಬೀಜ ಪ್ರಸರಣ" ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ,

ಸಗಣಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲು ಗುರುತಿ ನಿಂದ ಪತ್ತೆ ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ

ಏಷ್ಯಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾ ಆನೆ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಇರುವ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸ

ಕಪಿಗಳು ,ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಕರಡಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ಬೀಜ ಪ್ರಸರಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಸಮತೋಲನ ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿವೆ

ಮುಂತಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು .

Awareness session conducted by staff and volunteer on diet of elephants at the zoo, their role in seed dispersal through their dung and identification through dung and foot print. Difference between Asian and African Elephant was also explained as well as role of other animals such as monkeys, birds and bears in seed dispersal to maintain a balance in the ecosystem.

ಇಂದು "ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ " ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ, "ಇರುವುದು ಒಂದೇ ಭೂಮಿ" ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು
ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡು, ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಸಂಕುಲ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಿಂಗಡಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಲೇವಾರಿ, ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ತಯಾರಿಕೆ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಗಳನ್ನು, "ಸಾಹಸ "ಮತ್ತು "ವಿಶ್ವ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಧನ " ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ,ಮನಮುಟ್ಟುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸಂದರ್ಶಕ ರು ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆ ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ,ಆಟಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಿಂಗಡಣೆ ಅರಿವು ಪಡೆದರು.
J.P. ನಗರ, EKYA ಶಾಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ,
ಮೃಗ ಆಲಯ ದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳಿಯ ತಳಿ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು ,ಜೀವ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯ ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಮೃಗ ಆಲಯ ದ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ "ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ " ಕುರಿತಾದ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
Awareness session conducted as part of World Environment Day, along the theme of "Only One Earth".
Various activities were conducted to impart message on the need to conserve different species of fauna as well as ways to follow a sustainable lifestyle through waste segregation and composting in association with Saahas and World Wildlife Fund.
Visitors also took a wildlife pledge and learnt waste segregation through games.
Students from Ekya school, J P Nagar, also took part in a tree planting drive of native tree species in the zoo premises to support local biodiversity.
Additional wildlife and nature conservation theme movies were played in the zoo auditorium.

ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡ "ವಿಶ್ವ ಗೊಬ್ಬರದ ಮಹತ್ವ" ಸಪ್ತಾಹ"(1 ರಿಂದ7 ಮೇ), ತದನಂತರದ ಆಚರಣೆ,

ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮೃಗಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ,

ಸಂದರ್ಶಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

2022 ರ ಗುರಿ. "ಗೊಬ್ಬರದ ಉಪಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ" ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ. ಗೊಬ್ಬರದ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಉಪಯೋಗದಿಂದ "ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಕೃಷಿಯ" ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಈಗ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮಹತ್ವ,

ಹಾಗೂ, ಯಾವ ರೀತಿ, ಸಾವಯವ ಗೊಬ್ಬರಗಳು ಈ ಗುರಿ ಹೊಂದಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂದರ್ಶಕರು ಕಲಿಯುವ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.

ಅನುಪಯುಕ್ತ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಮಾಡುವುದು.

ಇದರಿಂದ ಅನುಪಯುಕ್ತ ಆಹಾರದ ಮರುಬಳಕೆ ಆಗಿ,"ಹಸಿರು ಮನೆ ಅನಿಲ"ದ ಹೊರಸೂಸುವಿಕೆ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುವಿಕೆಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನಿಲದಿಂದಾಗುವ ವಾತಾವರಣದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಕೂಲ ಪರಿಣಾಮದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ಪಡೆದರು.

ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸದೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟಲ್ಲಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಶತ 8 ರಿಂದ 10 ರವರೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ "ಹಸಿರು ಮನೆ ಅನಿಲ ಹೊರಸೂಸು" ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವಿಕೆ,

ಭೂಮಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನೀರಿನ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಳಕೆಯಿಂದ "ಜೀವ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ" ಮೇಲಿನ ಒತ್ತಡ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವಿಕೆ ಮುಂತಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ಪಡೆದರು.

ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರಣೆ ನೀಡಿ,ಅದರಿಂದ ಸಿಗುವ ಲಾಭಗಳು,ತಯಾರಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ,

"ನನ್ನ ಗೊಬ್ಬರದ ಡಬ್ಬ"

ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

The 2022 theme(Recipe for regeneration) highlights the overall regenerative agriculture movement and how compost and organics recycling fit into that process.

Visitors become interested in learning about the following points.

*Reducing the impact of waste food by feeding the soil and composting. Reducing food waste, composting also helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that affect climate change. Food loss and waste generate an estimated 8-10 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions while using land and water resources increasingly put pressure on biodiversity.

Last day of summer camp(3rd day): Morning session included Animal Behaviour Observation& a talk on ' Kappatgudda Wildlife Sanctuary' by Prof C S Arasanal ( Hon Wildlife Warden ,Gadag ). Second session included a talk on 'importance of indirect evidences in species identification' , POP Casting & a documentary show. The program was ended with certificate distribution

ಗದಗ್ ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು, "ಗದಗ್ ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ"

ED&DCF ಅವರಿಂದ,

"ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಶಿಬಿರ" ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.

ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರುಗಳಿಗೆ, ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಗ್ರಾಣ ವನ್ನು

ತೋರಿಸಿ, ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕಾಪಾಡುವಿಕೆ, ನೀಡಬೇಕಾದ ಪುಷ್ಟಿಯುತ ಆಹಾರ,ಎಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಬೇಕು, ಎಲ್ಲದರ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಎರಡನೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ,

ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಆವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನ ದ ಮಹತ್ವ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುಷ್ಟಿಯುತ ಆಹಾರ ನೀಡುವಿಕೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ, ವಿವರಣೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಪಾಠ ವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

Today summer camp was inaugurated by ED& DCF Gadag Zoo.

Day:1 - Students were taken for a visit to zoo hospital & Store. They were taught about health care management in zoo animals, animal diet & nutrition. In second session they were taught about the ' importance of habitat & feeding enrichment'.

ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೆ. ಎಸ್. ಈಶ್ವರಪ್ಪ, ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವರು ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಅವರು ಇಂದು, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ "ಹುಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಂಹ ಸಫಾರಿ"ಯ ಸುಮಾರು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕೋಟಿ ವೆಚ್ಚದ, ಎರಡು
ಕಿ.ಮಿ. ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.
Sri K.S Eshwarappa ,honorable minister for rural development and punchayath raj Karnataka state government and incharge minister of chikmanglore dist, laid foundation stone for 2km zoo road at tiger and lion safari shivamogga.
Project cost is Rs 400 lakhs

"ವಿಶ್ವ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ದಿನ" ವನ್ನು, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮೃಗಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
P. E .S. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಸುಮಾರು 100 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು.

ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಕ,
ಶ್ರೀ ವಿನಾಯಕ್ ಎಸ್ ಜಿ, ಅವರು, ಪ್ರಾಕೃತಿಕ ಸಮತೋಲನ ಕಾಪಾಡುವಲ್ಲಿ,ವಿವಿಧ ಮುಖ್ಯ ತಳಿಗಳ ಕಾಪಾಡುವಿಕೆ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಚಿತ್ರ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಫಾರಿ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಸಂದರ್ಶಕ ರಿಗೆ, ಝೀಬ್ರಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಿರಫ್ ಗಳ ವಿವಿಧ ತಳಿಗಳು, ಉಪ ತಳಿಗಳು , ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನ, ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಪತ್ತು, "ಹಿಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ" ಗುರುತುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ತಳಿ ಗುರುತಿಸುವಿಕೆ ಮುಂತಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

FlippAR Go app ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾದ ಗೊರಸುಳ್ಳ (UNGULATES) ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ತಳಿ ಗಳ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು.
Educational activity was conducted to public along with our Volunteer, about Zebras and Giraffes. Visitors were given information about the different species of Zebra and Giraffe, how to differentiate between the different species and sub- species, threats faced by the animals in wild and identifying different ungulates through droppings and foot print.
Along with this public took photos with the 3D animals using AR signage board of the Africana section on the FlippAR Go app, which also has an educative video about the African ungulates of BBP.

Campers were divided into 2 groups and task was given to build a pyramid using naturally available materials.

Activity starts with collecting the materials which are naturally available in the campus.. (stones, grass, leaf, climbers n paper etc) after building the pyramid each group explained very well about ecosystem balance n energy flow.

Final year students from veterinary College shimogga visited Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Zoological park and rescue centre for educational expidation and received training on zoo management,rescue centre management, Veterinary intervention and tranqilising equipment .Respected Memeber secretary sir addressed students for exploring wildlife medicine and wildlife research.

ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಹಿನಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕ ತಂಡದಿಂದ ಭಾರತದ ವಿವಿಧ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ "ಜೀವವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ" ಯನ್ನು ಸಾಂಕೇತಿಕವಾಗಿ ತೋರಿಸುವ ( ಉದಾ. ಗಿಡ ,ಮರ,ಪ್ರಾಣಿ, ಪಕ್ಷಿ ,ಚಿಟ್ಟೆ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ) ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು.

ಉದ್ದೇಶ: ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನ ತಿಳಿದು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣಿತಿ ಹೊಂದುವುದು.

ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ, ಎಲೆ ಇರುವ ಫಲಕ ದಲ್ಲಿನ ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿ,ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಎಲೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಮರ ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿ,ಅದರ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಹೆಸರು,ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಹೆಸರು, ಮರದ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆ ಮುಂತಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೇಳಲಾಯಿತು.

ಇದೆ ವಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಬಗೆ ಮರಗಳ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಮರ್ಶಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿನ "ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವ" ಕೌಶಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

Objectives :To learn how to identify common trees and skill in identifying trees

Participants :Single /group

Materials :provided leaf cards

Description : The participant should pick any of the leaf card ( prepared) which is provided and they go in search of plant with similar leaf pattren after finding the tree the participant should identify and discuss about the common name, scientific name, characteristics and its important. Once the participants have learned how to identify some tress, they can review their knowledge in tree identification in this activity.

ವಿಶ್ವ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ವಾರ ದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ, ಮೈಸೂರು ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ "ರಸಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ"

ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು

ಲಿಖಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೌಖಿಕ ಮಾದರಿಯ ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ,13 ರಿಂದ 18 ವಯೋಮಾನದ 56 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

As a part of Wildlife Week 2021 celebration, Quiz Competition was organized by the Mysore Zoo. 56 students between the age group 13 to 18 years actively participated. Both Written and Oral quiz was conducted.

"ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಇಂದ ಸಹ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದ ವರಗೆ-ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಸ್ಪಂದನೆ"

ವಿಷಯ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ,

"ಹಸಿರು ಸೇನಾನಿ"ಎಂಬ ಆಟದ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂದರ್ಶಕರಿಗೆ "ಕಸದ ವಿಂಗಡಣೆ" ಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ "ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ" ಯ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ತೋರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ-ಕಾಲ್ನಡಿಗೆ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ,ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಮಾರು 65 ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ಪಾಲಕರ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ,

ಗಾಯನ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿತ್ರಕಲಾ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

ಹೊರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ,

"ಲೋಯೋಲ" ಪ್ರೌಢ ಶಾಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಿ ಯುನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸುಮಾರು 300 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆವರಣ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತ, ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಜೀವ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿ,ನಗರಗಳ "ಮಾನವ/ಪ್ರಾಣಿ" ಸಂಘರ್ಷ ದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣ ಮತ್ತು ಲೋಗೊ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

As part of Wildlife Week various in reach and out reach activities were conducted with the theme Conservation to Co-existance: The People's Connect. In reach activities included Green Warrior game where visitors learn about waste segregation through a game and conservation movies were played in the zoo audiotorium. A nature walk was conducted to document the local diversity and over 65 citizens participated. Drawing and singing competitions related to the theme were conducted along with interaction with zoo keepers.

Outreach activities included awareness creation at Loyola High School and Pre Univerisity College for over 300 students on urban human animal conflict along with a nature walk in the institute premises to connect students to the biodiversity around them. Photography and Logo competition have also been organised as part of Wildlife week.
