Adopt Me: Rolo, Jo and Beth 🩵💜🩷

Rolo is a 16 week old shepherd mix 🩵 His foster is beyond thrilled with his incredible attitude towards new people, animals and experiences! Rolo is a calm guy who loves to run around with other pups outside just as much as he loves to cuddle in front of the fire with his people. He is currently completing his toilet training and has already mastered sleeping through the night. As the perfect mix of playful and relaxed, Rolo would make a perfect family dog and an incredible buddy for any kid to grow up with!

Jo is a 9 week old mixed breed pup 💜 (best guess is shepherd x lab). She is learning lots with the help of her foster family and can’t wait to show off all of her new skills! Jo is a quick learner and has slept through the night, is close to being fully toilet trained and is great on walks 😊 Her foster says she’s the “dream puppy”!

Beth is a 9 week old mixed breed puppy 🩷 and Jo’s sister! Beth is a sweet fluffy gal. She has been enjoying her time in foster with the best sibling to learn from Ellie! She loves to cuddle. She’s super curious of the big outside world! She sleeps through the night with no issues. Learning so many new skills and getting more confident on her leash walks. Super star pup in the making⭐️

Are you an animal lover looking for a rewarding part-time job? WAG is looking for a compassionate and hardworking Shelter Assistant to join our team!

📅 Availability: Friday–Sunday
💰 Starting Wage: $20/hr

As a Shelter Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in caring for our animals and supporting our shelter operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing daily feeding, exercise, and enrichment
Assisting with training, rehabilitation, and medical care
Maintaining cleaning and disease prevention protocols
Handling reception duties (calls, emails, database updates, cash-out procedures)
Working with the amazing community and animals in the Sea to Sky.
Who We’re Looking For:
✔️ Energetic and hardworking individuals
✔️ Passionate about animal care and welfare
✔️ Able to work independently and as part of a team
✔️ Comfortable working with people in a compassionate and professional manner
✔️ Preferably experienced in shelter work, veterinary care, or hands-on animal care
✔️ Physically able to lift 50 lbs and handle large dogs in all weather conditions

Rolo Is still looking for his forever home 💙

Approximately 4 months old, shepherd mix 🐶He’s currently in foster with multiple other dogs! He can be a bit cautious meeting new dogs but doesn’t take long and then he’s their best buddy♥️

-He loves to play but also enjoys a good nap💤
-Super smart, loves puzzle games🧩
-Is working on his house training🏡
-Cuddles are a big yes 🥰
-According to the foster would be great with another dog in the house but would also thrive being on his own 🐾

Meet the Little Women 💕

We’re four sweet and fluffy 9 week old pups who arrived at WAG after when we urgently needed somewhere to go during the recent cold snap ❄️

At first we were a little shy but we’re growing in confidence each day. We’ve quickly adapted to indoor life and love meeting new people especially little ones! We can’t wait to find out what else the world has to offer us and we’re excited to find our forever families who can show us all the love we deserve 🏡

Amy: initially the shyest, preferring to watch and learn from her siblings, always down for cuddles! 🐾

Beth: the most confident from the start, one of the larger gals who is keen to meet new people and try out new things first! Will do anything for a belly rub! ✨

Jo: keen to say hi and initiate party time with the others, loves her food and a play sesh! 🎾

Meg: the smallest of the crew, calm and affectionate but don’t let her fool you, she’s one tough cookie! 🍪

Happy tails for Dedric 😻✨

We’re so excited to announce that sweet, playful boy Dedric has found his purrfect match! 🏡🥰

This beautiful 4-month-old kitten has truly blossomed from the playful little ball of energy we first met to a happy, snuggly fella ready to share his love with his new family 🐱

Dedric will be living locally, where he can continue to grow and share his big personality with the world! 💙

Dedric’s journey started at our shelter, where he came from a loving home but needed a space where he could be the one and only fur baby! He’s found that perfect spot with his new family and is already thriving in his new home. 🐾

A special thank you to Dedric’s amazing foster family for giving him the care and love he needed to recover after his neuter surgery and for helping him on his way to finding his forever family! ❤️‍🩹

Meet Piper ♥️

Piper is a young, energetic and affectionate pup and she’s on the lookout for a home where she can live her best life 🏡

Her journey at WAG started in 2022 when she came in with her sister Pepper. Piper was adopted into a loving home locally. Her family loved her very much but she was having a hard time in the environment so the difficult decision was made to search for a new place for Piper to truly shine 🐾

Piper is a smart girl who loves to show off the tricks she’s learned over the past couple of years. She’s also a herding breed mix so she has a natural instinct to herd things! She truly thrives with mental stimulation and regular physical exercise! We think she’d love to try out some dog sports with her new family 🦮🎾

Piper would love to be in an adult only household where she can be the only kid. Piper does have some dog friends, but would love to be the star of the show in her new home ⭐️

She would love a dog experienced human who can help her with her anxieties and give her the space and love she needs to feel comfortable 🥰

Piper’s favourite thing is running around the yard and playing in the fresh snow - she could play for hours, but she’s also such a snuggle bug who can’t wait to relax on the couch with her humans after a fun day ♥️

Month of Love celebrations continue and as part of this love filled month we are offering reduced adoption fees for our kitty pairs. Because love is in the air. 💞

Turnip & Parsnip, Zucchini & Kale and Sprout & Pea have all been growing up together in their loving foster homes. They have all created special and unique bonds with each other and our goal is to continue to foster those special bonds and adopt them with each other. It has been shown that cats can benefit greatly from having a feline friend in the home and we hope to help these feline friend groups find their forever homes together. 💞

We understand that adopting two pets at the same time can be a bigger expense so in order to support our adopters and our feline pairs, we are offering reduced adoptions fees for all our kitty pairs for the month of February. Keep an eye on our social media channels as each week we will be showcasing a feature of life in foster for each of the pair groups. This week we are featuring Turnip & Parsnip. 💞

🐾 Moose wants to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who donates to our Outreach Spay & Neuter Fund! Thanks to your support, Moose and his cat sister Bebe had their surgeries last week. 🐶🐱

Bebe is now free from the stress of having multiple litters, and Moose can enjoy his days without being harassed by neighbourhood dogs or creating more puppies!

With shelters over capacity everywhere, spaying and neutering doesn’t just help individual pets, it *saves lives* by preventing unwanted litters and reducing animal suffering. 💙
