Hi! My name’s Lady and I came to Wag to shelter from the cold weather with my 4 puppies ❄️although I am still young, I did a great job keeping them safe until we got here.

Now my mothering duties are over, I’m ready to find a place to call home 🏡I am still learning and can become overwhelmed which results in me becoming mouthy and bouncy but I’m trying to work on this with the help of wag staff and volunteers!

When I am calm, I give the best cuddles! And will sit by your feet for hours 🥰Car rides and playing with all my toys help me to relax🧸

I’m hoping to find a human/humans who want to get to know me at my own pace and who will help me feel safe starting a new adventure 🐾

What a difference 1 month has made! scroll to see now and before photos, wow! We are soooo proud of Harlow and grateful to his vet Team at the Pemberton Veterinary Hospital and for our incredible donors for helping Harlow heal. He had a checkup yesterday and is doing so much better. Thank you for donating, every little bit helps. He is still on multiple medications and will need more follow up check ups and blood panels etc. Halrow would love to continue to recover in his forever home, check out our website if you’re interested in adopting or becoming a long term foster home - www.whistlerwag.com

🚨 Winnie Needs a Home!🚨 Forever or Long Term Foster Home.

Winnie has been waiting far too long—she came to WAG back in 2022 as a puppy and has spent the majority of her life in our care. She hada sad start and was left tied up in a yard without ever going on a walk or going inside a home before coming to WAG, despite that neglect Winnie LOVES people and desperately wants to find her forever family.

💛 Winnie is hilarious, smart, and full of love—so much love that her whole body vibrates with excitement when she sees her favorite people!

🐾 What Winnie Loves:
✔️ Walks—she’s a leash-walking superstar!
✔️ Car rides & road trip naps
✔️ Cross-country skiing, hiking, and splashing in rivers
✔️ Snuggles with her humans

🏡 What She Needs:
❌ No kids ( While Win is unbothered by kids, due to the frequent risks of poorly supervised interactions, where animals often pay the price, we can’t take that chance. She’s been through too much!)
❌ No other pets or Roomates ( as Winnie is the one who loses, whether it’s her home or her foster placement. She likes other dogs and humans but not in her home, thanks!)
✔️ A quiet, loving home where she can finally feel safe and settled

She doesn’t need someone with endless free time—just someone willing to give her a chance. Your home, no matter how small or boring, is better than a kennel!

💙 FOSTERING- WAG will cover all costs and provide as much support as possible!

Can you help? check out her profile on our website, or check out our foster program. If you can't adopt, consider fostering—foster homes are lifesaving for animals like Winnie. www.whistlerwag.com

If you can’t adopt or foster, please share to help Winnie find her home. Every share makes a difference!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Alice Cooper, everyone’s favorite hound, has officially found her forever home! 🏡❤

Alice has had an incredible support network along her journey both before and during her time at WAG, and when she needed medical care, our Critical Care Fund made it possible for us to take her in and provide the help she needed ✨

Since arriving in her foster home, Alice has been thriving, especially with her WAG Alumni sister by her side. It was clear from the start that she had found her perfect match, and it's been heartwarming to see her so happy and settled. Her family have said "Alice is less of a foster fail and more of a foster win". 🥰

While she will still require ongoing vet care, she’s feeling much better and is surrounded by a family ready to support her every step of the way! 🐶

Thank you of course to the extended team who helped Alice when she needed it the most. Shoutout to Pemberton Veterinary Hospital (her initial care team) who performed her dental surgery, and to Eagleview Vet, who continue to ensure her health and well-being!

Alice’s family couldn’t be more thrilled to have her, and they’ve shared these beautiful photos to show just how lucky they feel to have her join their crew. Thanks to wonderful adopters like them, we get to celebrate yet another happy ending beyond the shelter - and we know Alice is in the best hands possible 🐾

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated to our Critical Care Fund. Your generosity allows us to say yes and provide lifesaving help to so many animals in need, like Alice Cooper. Without your support, these second chances wouldn't be possible. You’re making a real difference, and we are beyond grateful for your continued compassion and support! 🙏🧡

❣️Medical foster home needed❣️🐶 handsome Harlow is looking for a home to recover in. He is a sweet, easy going boy who loves people and cozy beds. Warning: Some images may be upsetting.

Meet HARLOW💙

Harlow arrived at WAG last week in urgent need of care. He was very loved by his family, but his condition rapidly worsened beyond what they could manage so they reached out to WAG for help. We took Harlow to receive veterinary care and get testing to see the cause of his issues. His skin was severely inflamed, with most of his body affected by hair loss, thickened lesions, and painful ulcerations. His eyes were heavily infected, making examination difficult. Despite his pain, Harlow has been an incredibly trusting and brave boy.

Diagnostic tests including skin scrapes, hair plucks, and bloodwork, have been sent to the lab to determine the exact cause of his condition. While we wait for his results, he has begun receiving treatment and pain management, which he has been responding to and we have already seen improvements in him in less than a week! He has started to win over the hearts of staff members and volunteers❤

Even though we have seen some positive signs, Harlow has a very long road to recovery ahead of him. WAG is only able to help animals like him thanks to donations from our supporters. To encourage donations, for the month of March, every $25 donation towards to our Critical Care Fund will get you an entry to win a snowboard!

You can donate to Harlow via our website at www.whistlerwag.com/donate

We appreciate each and every one of our supporters who believe in the work we do and allow us to help special animals like Harlow. We will keep you posted on Harlow's progress and his journey ahead.

**Snowboard prize winner must pick up snowboard from WAG's Whistler location. No delivery available**

Sambal is looking for her forever home 🏡
She’s a stunning, 1-2 year old domestic mediumhair 🐱

Sambal is super playful (loves a wand toy!) and affectionate but on her terms. She likes to be the one to initiate pets but absolutely loves a head scratch 🐾

Sambal is looking for a home where she can be the only child/princess 👑 We’re not sure what she’d be like with other cats or dogs but would prefer to be in a home without a human sibling.

If you’d like to learn more about her, please visit https://www.whistlerwag.com/cats/sambal

✨We are over the moon to announce that Rocky has found her forever home!✨🏡

Rocky first arrived at WAG back in June of last year, and from day one, she captured everyone’s hearts with her infectious personality and charm! She wasn’t just any dog - Rocky was always the one who would make you belly laugh with her quirky antics, big bright eyes and the cutest bottom lip that could melt anyone’s heart ♥️

It’s no surprise that she quickly became not only a staff and volunteer favourite but also befriended all the boys at the shelter - Treble, Taylor and Beau (still available for adoption). 🐾

For the past 7 weeks or so, Rocky has been in an amazing foster home, and this is the “foster fail” we were all waiting and hoping for!! 🥰

We’re thrilled that Rocky has found her forever home and will be living locally, but that’s not all - she will also be working .axe.throwing !! How cool is that? 🫶

We couldn’t be more excited for Rocky and her wonderful furever family, we know she’s going to thrive in her new adventure, surrounded by unconditional love, laughter, and, of course, plenty of treats and an endless amount of belly rubs 🐶

Here’s to a lifetime of happiness, new memories, and one heck of a good time, Rocky! You’ll always have a special place in our hearts! Congratulations, sweet girl, you deserve it! 🧡

✨Congrats to Reese (from the Chocolate litter) now Skoki - and her new family!

A few weeks ago, Skoki embarked on a big adventure to Ontario, where she found her forever home with her big sister and WAG alum, Somerset (from the Mountain litter)❤

At just four months old, she’s already flown across the country, had cross-country ski adventures, and started puppy classes 🙌 We’re so excited for her and her wonderful family.

Skoki’s beautiful brother, Rolo, is still looking for his forever home - please check out and share his profile on our website ! 💙🐾

Adopt Me: Rolo, Jo and Beth 🩵💜🩷

Rolo is a 16 week old shepherd mix 🩵 His foster is beyond thrilled with his incredible attitude towards new people, animals and experiences! Rolo is a calm guy who loves to run around with other pups outside just as much as he loves to cuddle in front of the fire with his people. He is currently completing his toilet training and has already mastered sleeping through the night. As the perfect mix of playful and relaxed, Rolo would make a perfect family dog and an incredible buddy for any kid to grow up with!

Jo is a 9 week old mixed breed pup 💜 (best guess is shepherd x lab). She is learning lots with the help of her foster family and can’t wait to show off all of her new skills! Jo is a quick learner and has slept through the night, is close to being fully toilet trained and is great on walks 😊 Her foster says she’s the “dream puppy”!

Beth is a 9 week old mixed breed puppy 🩷 and Jo’s sister! Beth is a sweet fluffy gal. She has been enjoying her time in foster with the best sibling to learn from Ellie! She loves to cuddle. She’s super curious of the big outside world! She sleeps through the night with no issues. Learning so many new skills and getting more confident on her leash walks. Super star pup in the making⭐️

Our Story

Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to homeless and lost dogs and cats in our community and to be advocates in finding their forever homes. WAG is reaching out to our community and those around us to help find ways to make animal welfare possible for everyone. Through our assistance programs and educational children's programs, we strive to educate people how to be the best possible pet owners. Our high standards of care for our animals comes at a price, in order to maintain these standards and achieve financial stability, fundraisers, community awareness and participation is a must. The pride with which our community takes in the shelter experience offers us the ability to sustain this unique shelter. WAG is transparent and honest in its actions and communications to give our stakeholders a high level of confidence. We welcome all visitors and locals who want to contact us about pet adoption or even if you want to walk a dog or sit with a cat. They cherish these moments and we are appreciative of your kindness.
