dedicated to finding Forever Homes for cats and dogs in the Sea to Sky Corridor by rescuing, treating and offering shelter care, adoption education and homes. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to homeless and lost dogs and cats in our community and to be advocates in finding their forever homes.

🥰Will you be our Valentine?🥰

Currently at WAG we have 23 animals looking for their Valentine🙏♥. All month long we have been celebrating the Month of Love, and we will continue to celebrate until the end of February. All these cuties are looking for their forever homes. If you are interested in adopting and sharing your love with one of our furry friends, reach out to the team! We currently have discounted adoption rates on all our kitty pairs in the name of love💞

Not in a place to adopt? Consider making a donation to WAG on behalf of a loved one or purchase a raffle ticket to win an amazing prize pack valued at $600! Happy tails for Dedric 😻✨

We’re so excited to announce that sweet, playful boy Dedric has found his purrfect match! 🏡🥰

This beautiful 4-month-old kitten has truly blossomed from the playful little ball of energy we first met to a happy, snuggly fella ready to share his love with his new family 🐱

Dedric will be living locally, where he can continue to grow and share his big personality with the world! 💙

Dedric’s journey started at our shelter, where he came from a loving home but needed a space where he could be the one and only fur baby! He’s found that perfect spot with his new family and is already thriving in his new home. 🐾

A special thank you to Dedric’s amazing foster family for giving him the care and love he needed to recover after his neuter surgery and for helping him on his way to finding his forever family! ❤️‍🩹

We’re so grateful for all our fosters and vet teams who make these happy endings possible! ⭐️

Approximately 12 week old, German Shepherd cross puppies 🐾Reese is the lighter female and Rolo is the darker male.

Meet Piper ♥️

Piper is a young, energetic and affectionate pup and she’s on the lookout for a home where she can live her best life 🏡

Her journey at WAG started in 2022 when she came in with her sister Pepper. Piper was adopted into a loving home locally. Her family loved her very much but she was having a hard time in the environment so the difficult decision was made to search for a new place for Piper to truly shine 🐾

Piper is a smart girl who loves to show off the tricks she’s learned over the past couple of years. She’s also a herding breed mix so she has a natural instinct to herd things! She truly thrives with mental stimulation and regular physical exercise! We think she’d love to try out some dog sports with her new family 🦮🎾

Piper would love to be in an adult only household where she can be the only kid. Piper does have some dog friends, but would love to be the star of the show in her new home ⭐️

She would love a dog experienced human who can help her with her anxieties and give her the space and love she needs to feel comfortable 🥰

Piper’s favourite thing is running around the yard and playing in the fresh snow - she could play for hours, but she’s also such a snuggle bug who can’t wait to relax on the couch with her humans after a fun day ♥️

Month of Love celebrations continue and as part of this love filled month we are offering reduced adoption fees for our kitty pairs. Because love is in the air. 💞

Turnip & Parsnip, Zucchini & Kale and Sprout & Pea have all been growing up together in their loving foster homes. They have all created special and unique bonds with each other and our goal is to continue to foster those special bonds and adopt them with each other. It has been shown that cats can benefit greatly from having a feline friend in the home and we hope to help these feline friend groups find their forever homes together. 💞

We understand that adopting two pets at the same time can be a bigger expense so in order to support our adopters and our feline pairs, we are offering reduced adoptions fees for all our kitty pairs for the month of February. Keep an eye on our social media channels as each week we will be showcasing a feature of life in foster for each of the pair groups. This week we are featuring Turnip & Parsnip. 💞

🐾 Moose wants to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who donates to our Outreach Spay & Neuter Fund! Thanks to your support, Moose and his cat sister Bebe had their surgeries last week. 🐶🐱

Bebe is now free from the stress of having multiple litters, and Moose can enjoy his days without being harassed by neighbourhood dogs or creating more puppies!

With shelters over capacity everywhere, spaying and neutering doesn’t just help individual pets, it *saves lives* by preventing unwanted litters and reducing animal suffering. 💙

Winnie got a special delivery 🎂

Winnie wasn’t quite sure why everyone was staring at her but enjoyed the attention nether the less& her after cake cuddles with , who she missed while she was on holiday 🐾

Winnie has been in the shelter for over 400 days and we’re so grateful for the volunteers and staff that go over and beyond for our long term cases

We are thrilled to announce that Duck and Goose now Spicy and Tuna found there forever home, have settled in beautifully and are living their best lives with their loving family on the Sunshine Coast 🏡☀️

These two cuties spend their days playing hard and napping even harder! They love cuddles in front of the fire and giving nose kisses 😻

Spicy, the all-black long haired beauty, has stepped into her role as the ‘older sibling’ with absolute confidence, always curious about what her humans are up to and taking charge ✨
Tuna, little tuxedo cutie, is the wild spirit of the pair - carefree, adventurous and always up for some fun! Together, they make the perfect pair 🫶

✨✨FOSTER NEEDED FOR SENIOR PET✨✨

Sweet, senior lady Tux is in need of a dedicated, long-term foster home. This lovely lady is looking for a quiet place to rest. Can you help?

Tux's future foster home needs:
🐾To be a quiet home with no other pets. Bonus if you work from home or are retired as she loves the company.
🐾Able to administer medications.
🐾Ideally local, has a car and is able to drive Tux for her veterinary care at Coast Mountain Vets in Creekside. She is a senior animal, so vet care is critical. She has a regular monthly vet visit but sometimes requires more care.
🐾Long term; someone with no big trips planned and who can commit to helping Tux for a longer period of time.
🐾Can help her achieve her 2025 fitness goals via movement and diet 💪

This irresistibly cute 12-week-old pup has the sweetest face, a heart full of love and check out his white long socks, they’re the perfect winter accessory! 🧦💙

Comet is a little shy at times but with a little patience, he’s going to be an amazing adventure buddy! He LOVES snuggle sessions, playtime, hanging out with other dogs and is a total genius when it comes to brain puzzles, especially when it’s snack time! 🐶

Meet our new chocolate litter (Rolo, Ripple & Reese🍫)

Thank you so much to for helping them get to us yesterday after such a long journey. The 6 others of this crew were driven safely to this morning, thanks Judith for being their taxi driver! 🫶

While we are still getting to know them, they are shy and enjoying some decompression time at the shelter. Even in the short time since they arrived, they have already started to get more confident ✨

Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to homeless and lost dogs and cats in our community and to be advocates in finding their forever homes. WAG is reaching out to our community and those around us to help find ways to make animal welfare possible for everyone. Through our assistance programs and educational children's programs, we strive to educate people how to be the best possible pet owners. Our high standards of care for our animals comes at a price, in order to maintain these standards and achieve financial stability, fundraisers, community awareness and participation is a must. The pride with which our community takes in the shelter experience offers us the ability to sustain this unique shelter. WAG is transparent and honest in its actions and communications to give our stakeholders a high level of confidence.
