Stop and smell the…weeds? I’ve always loved dandelions because they’re not only beautiful but also strong. They grow almost anywhere and refuse to be taken out easily. May we all be like a dandelion even if people label us as weeds.

The pups enjoyed smelling these dandelions, I always love any chance to give them a new smell in my yard. It’s such a great experience for dogs!

We sure are loving this summer weather and all the outside playtime!

I can’t believe Koda is 3, she’s officially a big girl 🥹😍 Her parents sent birthday cookies AND gift bags to celebrate Koda’s birthday today and the pups loved them!

Koda is such a sweet and loving girl. She enjoys spending her days chasing balls, splashing in the pool, and snuggling with anyone and everyone. She is always such a joy to have, and I hope her next year is amazing 💗

Lucy turned the big 5 today and we got to celebrate with her! Her mom brought her a balloon, ice cream, and cookies to share with her friends and she loved her birthday party 🥳

Lucy is the busiest of all pups and absolutely loves a day spent playing. Her favorite thing is chasing the water hose, but she also loves playing tag, wrestling with her friends, or splashing in the pool. Every day is a great day when you’re as happy as Lucy always is.

We hope you have an amazing 5th year Lucy 😘

Jynx turned 2 years old and brought ice cream to celebrate with her friends today! Jynx is a sweet and spicy little lady, she LOVES playing and her favorite daycare friends are Goji and Stanley. She also loves splashing in the pool, eating snacks, and only coming inside when she chooses to. She’s such a fun girl and we hope this next year is full of fun and adventure for her. Yesterday we had a bittersweet day as we celebrated Millie before she heads off on her next adventure with her mom.

Millie has been a very special part of the pack for over 3 years now, and we have loved every minute spent with her. She’s always such a happy girl, she greets every day as if it’s going to be the best one yet. She firmly believes she is a Labrador retriever, and who are we to tell her otherwise? She loves to play fetch, splash in the pool, and snuggle with all of her friends.

We had an ice cream party to celebrate how much we love her, and it was a big hit with all of the dogs!

Millie, we will miss you so much but we hope you and your mom love your next big adventure in life!!

It’s hard to believe this spicy little lady is a whole three years old, she’s come a long way from the crazy puppy her mom adopted from the humane society! Dewy loves to play with pinecones, eat snacks very slowly, jump into the pool, and of course play with all of her friends.

Did you know that sells dog ice cream? Maggie’s mom got us some, and the dogs LOVED it! Even dogs who usually turn their noses up at special treats loved this ice cream and were begging for more. These pups sure are spoiled ❤️

I’ll admit I tried it before I gave it to the dogs, and it tasted like frozen peanut butter and was quite good 🍦

We played more “guess that dog” this week and it was so much fun! The hardest part of this game is that the dogs can be kind of scared of the bandana face look and how we act differently because we can’t see, so it can be hard to get a good feel of their whole body. But we all enjoy playing this one and challenging ourselves on how well we know our dogs!

Have you ever wondered what it’s like for a puppy on their first day of daycare? If so then you’ll enjoy following Stanley on his first day! Puppies are a LOT of work, both for their parents and for us. Every interaction can set them up for success or for issues and we try our absolute best to come alongside our pup parents and help their babies grow into well balanced dogs. Every interaction and situation is new for a puppy, we can’t expect them to innately know what we want and what we don’t want. It’s a dance of sorts to build up what you want and discourage what you don’t, and it can feel like you’re constantly managing because you basically are. But it’s worth it in the end, if the puppy can grow and mature in healthy ways and become a well adjusted dog who can enjoy all life has to offer. Stanley did amazing on his first day and had a LOT of fun, he’s going to be a regular around here and I hope all of you enjoy watching this little guy grow up 💙

Today was the last day of Stuffie-Paw-Looza! We had such a fun week surprising the pups with new stuffies every day, and they loved it so much. Thank you to everyone who donated stuffed toys for the pups, we appreciate all of you! Some stuffies did survive the week, so the pups will be glad to have some stuffies to play with in the weeks to come.

We are having so much fun with these stuffed toys! They’re dying at a quick rate but that’s ok because we have LOTS!

Stuffie-Paw-Looza day 2! The stuffed toy fun continues today, we all enjoyed diving into the piles of stuffies to find the best ones for squeaking and destroying.

We kicked off our Stuffie-Paw-Looza week and the pups LOVED it!!! Every afternoon it’ll be stuffie playtime here and the dogs are beside themselves with excitement. Enjoy 4 1/2 minutes of dogs playing with stuffies 💗

We played a game today, guess the dog while blindfolded and it was tons of fun! Definitely doing this again!!

This is why I love starting dogs off young with very regular nail trims, if I can convince them early on that the nail grinder won’t hurt them AND that they get lots of treats for standing still it becomes no big deal. Frank has nail trims every other week and now on his 6th trim he’s standing still and mostly comfortable with it. You can tell he’s still a bit hesitant (pinned ears, that big yawn he did towards the end, and checking in with me a lot) but every time we do it and nothing bad happens he gets closer to being completely comfortable. I only did half his feet for the video, but what you don’t see is at the very end I give him a handful of treats. We call that a “jackpot” and my dogs know they get a jackpot reward after every nail trim. Every good deed deserves a reward, and nail trims deserve a BIG reward ❤️

When you’ve played hard all day, the nap is good! Bernie crashed out and started snoring during movie time haha!

🎅 More toys!!!! More treats!!! 🎅 Koda and Cooper spoiled their friends with a bag of gifts, the pups couldn’t contain themselves when they saw stuffies and squeaky toys!!! Stuffed Santa is now missing his hat and half his stuffing but fun has been had 😆

🎁 More gift opening for these lucky pups 🎁 Cash brought a gift for his friends today, and you get to see the pov of the gifts 😆. The pups immediately put the toys to good use 🐶. They gave the treats all paws up 😋. The lick mat will be a fun enrichment activity for later 😀. Thank you Cash and Cash’s parents for spoiling us today, the pups say woof woof which roughly translates to “thank you and Merry Christmas!”
