For the second time in 2 weeks I dropped everything I was doing to rush Drama to the vet for emergency surgery.
We have been helping her owner for 2 months now rescuing a total of 12 animals so far. Drama 2 other adult dogs and a pig still need to be rescued.
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find fosters for Drama or the other adult dogs on the property so I bring them dog food, give them necessary meds and when emergency arises I help them because that is what rescue is. I can’t let them suffer.
Please consider a small donation to help us pay for her second surgery. Her first surgery plus meds was over $700 and this one may cost more than that!
Our Emergency Vet Fund allows us to help so many dogs in our community that are suffering and their owners can’t afford taking them to the vet. No dog deserves to suffer.

Everyday I get calls for help. Today I couldn’t say no to Gracie. I immediately recognized the love her owner has for her dog and compared it to the love I have for my dogs.
This woman can not afford the vet bill and has asked me for help. Money shouldn’t be the determining factor in saving our furry children but it often is.
Gracie deserves a fighting chance.
Please consider donating and contribute to saving her life.

Everyday I feed them. Everyday I love on them. And everyday my heartbreaks when I have to leave them there.
We have been searching for a solution for them for what seems like weeks.
Lucky for us and lucky for them @atlantahumane heard our cry for help and is responding. They will be here on Monday to help assess the situation and assist us.
This is our second hoarding case over 30 in the last 45 days. I’ve asked Atlanta Humane to send a team up here not only to help but to teach me how to handle these situations.
They have already told me they can’t take all the dogs but the fact that they are offering so much support in other ways gives me so much hope.
We still need your help with donations!

Yesterday I got a call for help and rushed into action!
I am familiar with the owner and her dog Fella. I’ve helped them with dog food and flea/tick meds. He is the puppy to a litter of dogs we rescued back in the winter. The owner of the mama dog gave him away and I’ve always asked about him and checked in on him to make sure he was okay since he didn’t get to go north to Michigan with his litter mates. Because, no dog is ever left behind or forgotten when I get involved. I make a pledge to them that I will always help.
So when the owner of Fella called me I was there 10 minutes later and immediately I was concerned for his life. I’ve never seen a dog in so much pain. And his one eye was starting to roll back into his head.
The story:
He was chasing butterflies through the garden and ran into the tomato cage and started yelping and crying and when she went to him it looked as if his eye was completely gone.
After she told me the story we loaded him up in the van and rushed him to our vet. Once they got him stabilized they got a good look at him and the news was much worse than we thought. He had a big piece of the rusty metal cage lodged in his eye. It had went through his sinuses and entered the brain cavity.
There was a very high chance that when the doctor pulled the piece out that he would have a brain bleed and swelling and die.
Both myself and the owner of Fella were confident in our vet. By the end of the day she called with good news that the surgery went well and even that his eyeball was still in place and the metal piece had went underneath it and was pinning the eye up and back so it looked like it was gone. She explained we weren’t in the clear yet and that he could still have brain swelling. So they kept him overnight be in the morning when he was clear to go home, he was reunited with his owner! And what a joyful moment that was.
We saved his life and if you
