Every dog is different, and so is every client. The mission for Shadow was to learn to walk patiently with Teresa, to be calm in the house, learn to not charge through doorways, to sit mannerly while being collared, and to lose a few pounds! He achieved all his goals, plus some! This big boy truly has a heart of gold, and loves his people dearly. Thank you, Teresa and Mark, for choosing Little Black Dog Training Services LLC. It was my pleasure to help shape Shadow into a gentleman!

HOW TO ACTUALLY CAUSE SEPARATION ANXIETY IN YOUR DOG...

-Pet your dog, all the time
•Talk to your dog, all the time
•Allow your dog to follow you, all the time
•Allow your dog to be on your lap or laying on your feet, all the time
•Pet, soothe, comfort your dog when it whines or barks for attention...or is simply anxious
•Allow your dog to demand affection/interactions
•Be emotionally dependent on your dog to the point that unhealthy dependency and interactions are no longer noticed
•Allow your dog to do whatever it wants, whenever it wants—aka, provide no structure, rules, or accountability
•Foster an environment of chaos, stress, and anxiety
•Refuse to train and pattern calmness
•Refuse to crate train your dog
•Refuse to correct your dog when inappropriate behavior occurs
•Refuse to train your dog how to be independent/alone by using a “Place” command, “Downstay, and/or “away” time in the crate
•Let your dog out of the crate when it whines or barks
•Avoid training or anything that makes your dog temporarily uncomfortable or unhappy—in other words, cater to your dog’s every desire/need, designing your life around your dog, rather than having your dog fit into yours
•And many, many more...

Basically, baby, soothe, allow, enable, disable, lean on, omit teaching necessary life skills, prioritize what feels good for you rather than what does good for your dog, and through this master plan of leadership-free chaos, and systematic cultivation of creating a toxic dependency between dog and human...you’ll ensure that when you leave, your dog will be a true emotional mess, because you haven’t prepared them to be calm, obedient, strong, resilient, robust, independent, and alone.

So, this may sound like a brag, and that's ok, because I'm proud of my students!
To date, I have a 100% success rate with my client dogs passing title tests! These include Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Advanced, Trick Dog, and Therapy Dog team certifications. I have been offering these group classes to my training clients for two years now, and NO ONE has failed a test.
I believe in training and preparing to a higher level than merely what is required to earn a title. I put my students through some tough proofing drills, always with the goal of emulating real life situations. My hope is that their obedience is of a caliber that allows them to navigate in public settings, through stressful environments, unexpected chaos, or whatever challenges are presented. My training teams SHINE. They are my legacy and make me so proud!

This week has broken me. I've been consumed with the videos and first-hand reports coming out of the Carolinas. I cannot wrap my mind around the devastation and loss that those people are experiencing. I wish I could go there to helo, but right now I'm going to do what I can, where I am.
For the remainder of the month of October, 100% of ALL TRAINING FEES WILL BE DONATED to SAMARITAN'S PURSE to help the victims of Hurricane Helene.
