🛑 SLOW DOWN FOR HORSES 🛑
Are you aware of the Highway code changes. When you see a horse on a road, you should slow down to a maximum of 10 mph. Be patient, do not sound your horn or rev your engine. When safe to do so, pass wide and slow, allowing at least 2 metres of space.

I DON'T THINK RIDERS TODAY UNDERSTAND THIS.
All the disciplines used to be like an amusement park. Just as each amusement ride was an exciting experience, each discipline provided a different exciting experience. Taking your horse to many different discipline events was like going to the amusement park and going on all the rides to see which ones you liked. Horses and riders grew together as the tested themselves in different kinds of competitions.
How would you like to go to an amusement park and only get to go on one ride? That's how it is now for horses and riders. Today it's not as much fun. Horses and riders do the same thing over and over because they believe that is how it is. That is not how it has to be. Horses and riders can do so much more than doing only one discipline and have more fun.
The disciplines were once there for the horses, not like now when the horses are there for the disciplines.

Karl established Rohara Arabians in 1969. It became one of the leading Arabian horse breeding and training farms in the world. Karl was proud of Roxann and the accomplishments of their farm including being named USEF Breeder of the Year. Their mutual passion for the horses and the people they met through the breed was a source of great joy for Karl.
Karl found time in his career as an international litigation attorney to contribute to the Arabian horse community in many ways, both publicly and privately. As a way to give back, he served two terms as President of the Arabian Horse Association of Florida and later having developed the regional concept system, he served six years as the Arabian Horse Association Region 12 Director. He was later honored with the Region 12 Lifetime Achievement Award. After his tenure as Region 12 Director, Karl served six three-year terms as the Director of the United States Equestrian Federation. He also served as President of the USA Equestrian Trust and was a valued member of numerous committees of the USEF and IAHA. he will be miss by many

“THE DREAM THAT MANY WILL NOT UNDERSTAND:
My horses are my personal dream.
One day when I am very old and when I can not walk anymore, it will be in my heart as a trophy of my memories.
I met people who taught me something and have the same spirit and I met others that I'm glad I forgot.
I got wet,
I felt cold,
And I felt warm;
I was afraid,
I fell,
And I stood up.
I even hurt myself, I have been broken,
But also, I laughed out loud inside.
I spoke a thousand times with myself.
I sang and shouted with joy like a madman,
And yes ... sometimes I cried.
I have seen wonderful places and lived unforgettable experiences.
I climbed on horses that made me feel brave and excited...and then there were ones that terrified me......
I stopped a thousand times to see a landscape.
I spoke with perfect strangers, and I forgot people I see every day.
I went out with my demons inside and returned home with a feeling of absolute peace in my heart.
I always thought how dangerous it is, knowing that the meaning of courage is to advance even feeling fear.
Every time I go out to my horses I think about how wonderful they are.
I stopped talking about it to those who do not understand, and I learned to communicate with other riders.
I have met some amazing people I now call friends because of my horses.
I spent money that I did not have, giving up many things, but all these things are not worth even one special moment with my horse.
They are not a means of transport or a piece of iron with wheels, they are the lost part of my soul and my spirit.
And when someone says to me: "You have to sell the horses and you have to be more sensible", ... I do not answer. I just swing my head and smile.
A horse..... only the person who loves them understands it.
May God bless my friends and all their horses...
