Needles, Live : Through the lense of
It’s been over a month since the show (it takes me a long time to process things) so i thought it was about time to say thank you to everyone involved. This was the first time i’d played with a band in years and i couldn’t have asked for a better group of people.
(Vincent) and I first met over a decade ago both playing in punk bands in Monterey. i had always looked up to their performance and music so after reconnecting in new york years later i was fiending to work together.
After making needles i realized that our styles could overlap and with the added motivation on my end of wanting to be friends i asked them to help me out a band together for this show (i was so nervous dude like holysit) and immediately they were coming up with ideas for openers and band members and band remakes of my songs.
This show would not have happened without Vincent and it was so wonderful to get to hang out also so like hell yeah please go see them live it’s one of the best shows i’ve seen.
We added on on bass on keys and on drums and i can’t believe how fun it was to get together with these people. it always felt weird to me asking people to learn my music instead of writing music together. but they all brought their own energies to the songs and practices were mad silly i had so much fun yall. I hope i get to play with these people all the time.
For now im playing a lil solo show opening for on Jan24 it would be lovely to see you there
