The last couple days have been a whirlwind!
The first of Aylas puppies have gone home! His new family has named him Dunkin and came from northern Illinois to add this adorable bundle to their home.
Congratulations to Dunkin and his family!

34 dogs were rescued in a last minute emergency where the commercial breeder has closed due to a medical emergency. This meant an immediate pickup was needed. Since we were already at capacity the Colorado rescue team is here in Dogsville to take some back to Colorado and other transfer partners are coming in to lighten our load.

Quick update on Miss Stella. All 11 puppies are fat and healthy! 16 days old, eyes are open, and they are Roly poly!

Tomorrow we head out on an emergency pick up of 30+ dogs, the type of rescue that makes you hug your dogs a little tighter.

🥰 Adoptions 🥰

Marlow the 5 month old Goldendoodle puppy has found a home! She will have a goldendoodle big brother, a couple kids and 2 devoted parents to help her transition into pet life!

Bree the Shiba Inu has gone home today! Her adopter traveled in from Colorado to pick her up. Previous Shiba owner she loves the breed and is so excited to raise a young rescue Shiba up.

💗 Von Mac 💗

Our big boy Von Mac has arrived at his foster home with MidAmerica Rottweiler Rescue ! He did great on transport and the most recent update is that he's happily sniffing around the new yard.

We can't thank MidAmerica Rottweiler Rescue enough for welcoming Von Mac into their program. Von Mac was rescued from the commercial breeding industry the end of June and he's now experiencing "pet" life for the very first time.

This gorgeous 4 year old Bichon/Poodle came to us from a commercial breeding situation that closed. We have spent a couple weeks getting to know her, getting her groomed and now she ready to start looking for a home!

Timid with new people at first but very friendly and affectionate with those she knows. She loves other dogs, and is a lovely little dog.

Happy to report 2 adoptions!

Emma the perfect 5 year old Mini aussie mix found herself a wonderful home! She will be the only pet with daily walks, a fenced yard, and lots of love!

Blossom the Shiba Inu went home with someone that has been researching the breed and searching for a way to rescue instead of purchase!

As a bonus MidAmerica Rottweiler Rescue found a foster home for Von Mac our big boy Rottie and he gets to leave Saturday after waiting 2 months with us!

So happy for all of these dogs to start their lives out of cages!

🥳 Adoptions 🥳

Yesterday 2 of our lucky dogs found homes! Both are now living in Michigan!

The little Pug is now named "Elbe" and is helping fill the void after the family lost both of their senior dogs to old age very close together. A house isn't a home without a dog and Puggy now has 2 young girls that are over the moon to be her best friends!

Lady the Chihuahua is also filling the void after the loss of a beloved Chihuahua to old age. This retired military veteran reached out to us at just the right time looking for a Chihuahua. 24 hours later we had one surrendered! Lady is a timid but sweet little dog that will have a 24/7 doting new dad to show her what life is like outside of commercial breeding.

This handsome 1 year old boy is looking for a permanent home! Scoob was found with a band around his sc***um, a home made attempt at neuter that is extremely painful and dangerous in dogs. He had to have emergency surgery but is healed and now ready to find a loving family!

Scoob is great with other dogs, great with kids of all ages AND housebroken! He's a smart and eager to please young boy that can acclimate to almost any home setting!

Stella has 11 healthy happy baby dogs! Mama and babies are all doing great !

Aylas puppies have received their first set of vaccines have enjoyed some outside time and are also doing fantastic!

Winslow the Aussie has gone home on a foster to adopt/trial adoption. Wish him luck that he fits in well with the other pets and has his forever home!

Barley the Shiba Inu has found his forever home and is able to leave as soon as he is Neutered!

😍 Stella Update 😍

This morning miss Stella went into labor and she is up to 10 puppies so far! She's a super mom and although exhausted each of her puppies are doing great!

Can you help a girl out? She is on puppy food for calories, Ayla is on puppy food as she's still nursing and Aylas puppies on are puppy food as they are 5 weeks old now!

Sammy the 8 year old Rottweiler has found a home! She gets a couple canine siblings and a big back yard fully equipped with a doggie door! After 2 months waiting today was her turn to go home!

Darby the Shiba Inu puppy also found his people, he has to stay a few more days until he's Neutered but we got the family photo in while everyone was together!

This adorable 10 year old Pomeranian is ready and waiting for a home! Foxy is great with other dogs, doing well on housetraining, extremely affectionate and a major lovebug!

🤩 Stella 🤩

Stella was one of the last dogs rescued from the property where the other labs and retrievers were. She was a bit timid and we had to go back a couple times until we could get her. She was sweet but shy and warmed up very quickly for us.

Once we had her and she was acclimating she went to the vet and well Miss Stella is pregnant. She is due anytime within the next week and we are turning into quite the maternity ward around here!

With Aylas pups starting on some puppy mush and Stella about to give birth we need to ask for help again! Please consider donating to our wishlist - we need canned puppy food, potty pads, as well as more dry food! The 200 dog rescue really wiped us out!

😍 Fergus Update 😍

Last week right before the big transport Fergus the golden retriever was adopted! We found him when we stumbled upon the backyard breeding situation and the dogs that had been hit by cars (Waddles and Susie). Fergus and many others were surrendered to us, we were able to save Waddles and Susie and set about getting the rest to health.

Fergus has hit the jackpot! He now lives in western Nebraska with a loving family.
His family sent this picture today along with an update that he loves the lake, he has made some new doggie friends with family members dogs. He's extremely mindful of the young child and is extra gentle with him. He is housetrained and loves his big fenced back yard.

🥳 What a day! 🥳

It's only 9am and it has already been a day to celebrate! Danny the English Shepherd has found a home! He gets another English Shepherd sister and a Mom that's a veterinarian. This lucky boy found himself an active home with breed experience 😃

BISSELL Pet Foundation has loaded up and the dogs are on their way to transfer partners in Virginia and North Carolina. Over 200 dogs were rescued from the commercial breeding industry and are now on their way to lives at pets!

Congratulations to Danny and all of our dogs that are on their way to new lives!

This picture means the world to me, this picture embodies the work we do and how meaningful that work truly is.

Poppy was just adopted today. She came to us the end of June a terrified, shaking almost 5 year old breeder dog. She ran everytime we approached her, would go to the corner and shake. She had to be able to go outside so we harnessed her, and coaxed and proded. She never stopped going away from us when we would go to leash her up but the shaking stopped. The circling on the leash slowed, she came closer and occasionally would just stand near asking in her own way for a pet.

She received several applications but once a discussion was had about her lack of social skills, fear, etc it wasn't the right fit for each one. That's OK, that's understandable. It's a leap of faith to adopt a timid dog like her and hope that they will come around eventually. Last week an applicant still wanted to meet her and took that leap of faith today! They adopted a dog that didn't want them to touch her but loved their other dog. This evening they asked about her feeding schedule, I knew this meant she probably hadn't wanted to eat since she got home. I reassured them that was normal in a transition for any dog especially a scared dog. And then I asked how she was. I was afraid to ask, picturing her trembling in a corner. Instead I got this picture. It brought such a feeling of joy and relief, that she is home. Experiencing the comfort of a couch for the first time in her life. I can't imagine almost 5 years in a kennel to finally get a couch...

The time, money, and resources that we put into each of these dogs is immense. I'm sharing her story and asking again if you can help us to keep helping dogs like Poppy? The shy dogs that have been thrown away as useless by the commercial breeding industry. That have barely known a kind touch and have never experienced anything like a "home". These beautiful souls that need us and in turn we need you. Right now the need is so high that our intake numbers have tripled. Our donations to operate have not though. Every dollar counts in animal rescue and can mean the difference in being able to say "yes" or not.
